I have checked train now and it is way to expensive. We need to buy railcards and stuff like that. But we are totally on to take the car down. If there only is 1 place in the car i skip my father

I think that there is no hope for the flights.
I feel sorry for all who wanted to fly to Rome.

But - don´t cry. Don´t loose time. What do we learn from the last weeks? - Yes, we are unique.

As Mr. Andersson said before - the people from Northern Europe should talk together. Send emails together, and drive with some cars. It´s enough time.
Or if you are a group of more people - maybe you get cheaper tickets for the trains.

The time is no problem now, but you have to act now, not later! Don´t waste time for waiting for flights! After that it can be too late.

As pazke´s map shows - the chance for people from Norway or Sweden is not good.

So don´t loose time. Talk together for car travel or train.

For those who are thinking about driving I suggest that you all meet in the chatbox at 21:00 to discuss and create solutions.

No, you can't. Unless you had somebody sticking a knife in your back a couple of times and then twist it.

Anyone traveling from the UK or Ireland? 2 of us are traveling from Dublin so looking into the best possible way to get there.

Our flights aren't until Sunday morning but still not looking too promising.

According to the Ryanair website flights start going out tomorrow at 13:00 from the UK and Ireland but its best to keep a check on it.

Such a sorry situation,I cant think straight.

Yes but the Irish Aviation Board have said in the last hour that flights are expected to be grounded for at least two to three days. The decisions lie with the Transport authorities and not with the airlines. If anyone is going by car from England though, we'd be up for coming over by ferry.
