I worked out that I am a ridiculously stupid person. The other night, I was in the pub (nothing unusual there) and I was chatting to these two very hot girls who were best friends. I had a few too many drinks and decide to chat them both up at once. One of the girls left leaving me with the other one and straight away I was thinking "bingo!!! quids in!!!"

So I talked and talked and did a bit more talking and then I asked if she was single. She said yes and where I should have been thinking "brilliant, I'm in here", instead I replied with the words:

"yeah, I thought so"

How idiotic is that??? You really can't salvage that situation, can you?

You can salvage it by saying "of course you're single nice things have finally started going my way and you're definitely very very nice".

I spent a week in a villa with family in Capranica, across from the stazione. Would jump into Rome almost every morning, then to Anguillara at Lago di Bracciano in the evening. Went to Viterbo, Sutri and the surrounding areas, really is a great part of Italy.

I take it that's the same line you take from Viterbo?

That's quite a coincidence! Did you ever eat at the restaurant, can't remember it's name but you had to drive down a dirt road for about 1km to get there? That was quite a nice place.

We had to drive 1km on a dirt road to get to the house, but I can't recall any restaurant there. Anyway I'm sure it's close.

I love it how you two quoted me several times and my opinion on the italian railways.

The website is impossible to maneuver, then they make a point of not accepting American Express if the card is not issued in Italy, then they "accept" Diners but like hell they do.

No explanation, just referred me to send an e-mail and wait up to 48 hours that I don't have for an explanation.

Our villa was called 'Sutri 2', was really beautiful, with a great pool and everything, 6 bedrooms, great place.

What are you trying to book Sile? My best experience with the Italian railways has been to just buy a ticket at the station.

Trying to book a train from Trieste to Rome tomorrow morning anytime from 4:30 am to whenever, but everything is booked probably because of Easter weekend and the one train that isn't jam-packed is the earliest one but I can't buy the bloody tickets online so I have to go to Trieste and have my fingers crossed that there's still tickets.

Or hitch a ride.
