| Hey fellow laziale, i didnt know where to put this topic, but i just wanted to hear what you boys would say if Agger from liverpool came to lazio? According to his contract he can be bought for 3 million €... I would be positive about it, hes better than Cribari, stendardo and Siviglia, and he´s young to... I know were not linked with him or anything but just wanted to hear your opinions... | |

| in my opinion he is better than diakite... he has incredible pace, strength and his marking is superb... i know im danish, but his game against portugal showed that he has just as much skill or more than carvalho... he is great, but comin to lazio he would be perfect... | |

he can use the webster clause, because he has been offered a new contract and he has been in the club for 3 years now. he can then leave for 27 million danish kr... So maybe its like 3,5 million euro... but still very cheap for a defender like Agger...

| depends on how expensive his contract would be. but he does need regular football if he's going to progress, something that's hard to come by in the old "rafa rotation" | |

| There is no doubt that he is a great player and that he would easily outshine any defender in Lazio.
However, we are not linked to him and there is no way he would ever come to a club like Lazio. I guess he will take his spot in Liverpool back and in case he leaves, I am sure other top teams would be ready to take him. Especially since top class central defenders are pretty rare these days and those who exist are unavailable to other teams.
At Laziofever we try to keep the transfer & rumours section connected to reality, so that our members and visitors can get a realistic overview over the players Lazio are negotiating for and those we are rumoured to get according to reliable media reports. Fantasy thinking must be kept elsewhere, either in free talks or in case the topic is more general and not specifically connected to Lazio, it could be in the Mixed Zone.
So far I will put this topic there. Thanks

| What I've seen of him he's a terrific defender, strong and fast, even scores some goals. He's been injured a lot lately.
Obviously Carragher is first choice at Liverpool and Benitez rotates between Agger, Hyppia and Skrtel.
We have to be realistic. If Agger decides to leave Liverpool, he can to a club like Newcastle, Liverpool, A. Villa or whoever in the Premierleague who will give him the opportunity to stay in England and offer him the same salary or even a larger amount than the 2,5 million he's on.
I'm not saying that I wouldn't want to see him at Lazio but like some have already mentioned, we have Diakite who I hope will take over from Siviglia next season.

| A great defender but I doubt Lazio would pursue him mainly due to his salary. Although if Lazio have a good season and qualify for Europe then chances are Lotito will be able to lure some very good players who would add to the already impressive team that Rossi has at his disposal.
But I am more than happy with the current central defender in the squad - Rozehnal, Siviglia, Cribari and Diakite!

You mean like he should have last year? I think Lotito has learnt his lesson.... and to be honest I don't think it was as bad as people made it out to be. Lazio had a bad season last largely due to the high injuries that players sustained. True that not enough depth was brought in but I think Carrizo not arriving was a big loss for us. Had he been here last season I think Lazio would have finished higher than 12th. The players Lotito brought in like Kolarov were very good buys. Also in the January transfer window when he brought in Bianchi, Radu, Dabo and Rozehnal - they were all good signings and they played well in the half a season they spent in Rome.

| Bianchi didn't suit our system. Good player but not good for this Lazio team.
If we do qualify for CL again and Lotito does make some good signings, there's no reason why we can't go to even the quarter finals. Any further is probably too hard given the strength of the big English and Italian clubs but round of 16 and QFs would be a great achievement
anyway, that's a topic to come in a few months, only dream now
