Rossi announced the turn-over for this game so it`ll be interesting what formation he`ll use. probably Pandev will be rested with Makinwa playing from start and Rocchi on the bench.... i would like to see Meghni from start and if the scoreline is good for us Mendicino would be nice to see for 20 min or so

In or out for this Coppa Italia Match and i guess that 4 to 5 players will be changed in a classical turn over that, in my opinion, is a must.
We need to see other players in the field and we need to give them responsabilty and chances to show up their eager and skill.
The championship is long and in the future players as Zarate , Brocchi, Mauri will need the natural replacement!

Is time to show another Lazio.

With our current form and table position, i hate to say it... but i really couldn't care less about this fixture? Igli Tare could come out of retirement and start for all i care.

To be honest, I would keep Carizzo, Lichtsteiner, Ledesma, Zarate and Pandev on the bench and start with a relaxed:

Muslera - De Silvestri, Radu, Rozenhal, Kolarov - Brocchi, Meghni, Manfredini - Foggia, Makinwa, Mendicino

I think the next game against Lecce is way more valuable than this.

plus its not as if Atalanta are going to use their strongest lineup either

There is a chance for us to kick out Atalanta first and later on, get the revenge from Ac Milan. However, I also think we should rest some of our players. The championship is a long journey, and we should do some rotation in our squad.

I don`t get it.. why to rest some players..or use players that normaly can`t play ? I don`t think that coppa is a stupid tournament..or at least, i don`t think that this competition is something where we MUST (acording to all of you) use our second team.
This is a trophy..for christ sake.. and it`s a trophy that we can get (scudetto is hard to obtain).
Mr. Rossi..use our first squad. We must win... i repet..there is a trophy involved.

In order to win this trophy we need to get past first Atalanta in the single-match knock-out, then 2 games against milanmerda, then either fiorentina-torino/livorno and then semifinal and final. Yes the coppa is a trophy but it has come to be more of a nuissance than a real challenge. we have a better chance for Europe next season by playing well in the league than resting our hopes on the coppa.

This does not mean we should give up just yet, play the games one at a time and play it professionally for the win. I for one would be devastated if in one of those matches on of the key players(Zarate, Pandev, Foggia, Carizzo) gets injured.

previously, i thought that coppa is a must win for Lazio this season. But looking at our run in the league, i need to refrain my thought. i believe that we should focus more to serie a than risking our skuad in coppa. fixture against lecce is more important in my opinion...

anyway, i would like to see de silvestri playing on this occassion...

for the moment, the Coppa isn't on my mind, so I hope some keyplayers get a break, so the others can prove their chances, Carrizo > Muslera, Zarate > Makinwa ...

Of course we need to rest some of the titulars. We need to keep our strengths for the calico, where we still have very important and crucial games against Napoli, Udinese, Inter, Juventus , Atalanta and so on. The championship is long we should distribute properly our strengths if we are smart enough and want to achieve not just Europe spot and also to redeem our position in Italian football.

Everyone knows that in Coppa coaches use their substitute players, it is too early to play with our best players at this stage.
Also our substitutes are good players, they are not bad footballers, and we need to give them a chance to contribute to this team and to feel part of it.
I am sure Atalanta will use some of their substitute as well……

Dabo is ready ? but maybe we should keep Carrizo in goal just to get him Seria A exp IMO. Pandev and Zarate should get a break so Mendicino Makinwa and Rocchi could get to smell the grass :) and why not Diakite and Tuia also ?

We need to rest Zarate and Pandev for sure. Hopefully Rocchi can play so he should start with Makinwa. De Silvestri should also start this game and im sure Siviglia could need a rest.

But I agree with Amir.. Ledesma shouldn't play and shouldn't even present at the bench! and I doubt that Matuzalem will be ready at that game.. so I agree with your formation but with a little modification:

- Mourad Meghni should fill the Matuzalem's space in usampa's formation;
- Meghni's place will be taken by Foggia, I think he needs to play more in order to match more with Rossi's tactic and also to gain Rossi's trust a bit more... well just like Kurama said that we need to win this single shot game, so we need one between pandev-zarate-foggia in this game, and i choose Foggia.
- Ledesma's and Dabo's places could be filled with either Dabo (if fully recovered), Brocchi, Manfredini or even Mutarelli

not saying I want Lazio to lose, I want Lazio to try and win every game they play, just that theres no reason to use the strongest 11 in it.
