Ilary Blasi’s taste in men might be very very questionable, but there’s no faulting her choice in football teams:
For those who understand Italian, here’s a video from Le Iene (the Hyenas). For those who don’t, it’s basically: the boys stumbled on this photo of Blasi wearing our colors, and decided to confront her about it, asking her simply, “Are you really a Riomanista?” She hesitates, looks terrified and then says yes, only for them to catch her in the lie and unveil the pic.
The taunts are nice (”Your husband doesn’t even know!”), but the best part is how well she knows the words to the Lazio anthem. No need to hide what’s in your heart anymore Ilary…Avanti Lazio!

Hi Laziali, congratulations for this great forum,I just wanna wish you good luck against Roma in tonight's Derby della Capitale..
I have great respect for Lazio and I also dislike Roma, mostly because of their disrespectful words towards Inter during last season..
I think you have a great team this season but derbies are always tricky and everything can happen..Zarate is indeed an extraordinary player but as I said there are no favourites in matches like this one tonight..
I will mainly post in the "Italian Serie A" thread and certainly I'm not here to create any problems..
We may disagree in many of our opinions but if mutual respect for each other's view exists, then I don't think there's any problem..
My best of luck for the Derby..

Hi Nerazzuro and welcome :) .. many of us respects alot Inter (i do alot) and i have no grudge insted of them .. and also, if i`m correct..Lazio fans and Inter fans were united against Milan`s and Juve`s oppresion and their way to win, for many many years. Glad to have ya with us :)

Thanks for the welcome Kurama..
Yeah, you do have a point..Our fans have a good relationship....Mainly our ultras...Last year,I had the chance to attend the first Coppa match Inter-Lazio in San Siro..I had been to Milan then...I saw a huge picture of Gabriele Sandri in our Curva and our ultras always chanted songs like "A Roma solo la Lazio"...
The last time Lazio won the scudetto (in 2000 if I'm not mistaken) at the Inter-Lazio game, our fans created a banner with the words "Curva Nord Salutes The Champions" written on it..I had seen this pic in some newspapers and made me a great impression..
Also, our leading ultra group BOYS S.A.N and Lazio's Irriducibilli are some kind of..fraternal supporters..
The only bad memory I have from Lazio is that cursed match on May 2002 and that frustrating 4-2 defeat..
PS..Sorry for the off-topic lads..

This match will be crucial even for us , as we know that will be break point for Roma Merda, but if we not come up with good results the motivation will fail down, because we are up in the table and they are almost in relegation zone, so the players expect to prove them self in front of everyone.
But i hope this will be a good night and we will come from this derby with more confident ant to continue for the rest of the season.

I consider the Roma-Lazio derby to be the fiercest in Italy and one of the best in the world..
Milan-Inter,Juve-Inter,Juve-Toro,Doria-Genoa are NOTHING compared to Derby della Capitale..
By the way,I heard that both Totti and DDR are in serious doubt for tonight's match..Does anyone know something more about it??...
If these players don't play,I'm sure Lazio has a clear advantage to win the match and leave that crappy Roma side in the relegation zone(where they belong )..

Aquilani and Pizarro are not available. DDR has a bad wrist sprain which would keep him out but for it being the derby. Totti should play but is not 100% and Taddei was supposed to be out but has made the squad.
Their midfield will be a definite mess.

Hmm, I would like to see Totti playing tonight. He's not the Totti he used to be. I would like to see his face when Roma loses again. Forza Lazio!

To me,their most dangerous player is Vucinic..
Sometimes this guy scores some incredible goals and creates chances from nowhere.. He hasn't played that well this season but still remains a productive striker...
At the Roma-Inter(0-4 )game,Cordoba marked that guy brilliantly, and as a result, offensively Roma didn't create any significant chance for goal.. Also, the two quick (at the beginning of each half) goals by Zlatan completely destroyed their psychology and the rest of the game became extremely easy for Inter..
And yeah,I agree with Goerlandt that Totti is not the player he used to be,but he still remains their most inspirational figure and the man who's gonna take the team over his shoulders in a difficult moment..Also,this game is special...And that woulld motivate Totti to play even better since it's a crucial match..It's not a match against eg.Siena..It's the Rome Derby!!..So I still believe that it'll be better for Lazio not to face Totti tonight..
And guys,be aware of Panucci...He has scored too many goals this season despite being a defender..
Good luck laziali...

I agree with Vucinic and Panucci. We have to watch them.
I think Roma are a worse side with Totti in the team these days. It's the fringe players that tend to step up for them in big games.
I would leave Pandev on the bench. I think the Foggia-Zarate-Rocchi combo can cause havoc (example: Siena) and I think the game will tighten up in the 2nd half and suit the likes of Pandev or Inzaghi, depending on how tight it gets.
I think the predicted defence is spot on. I hope the new boys can step up.
We have a midfield who know what it means to play in derbies. I would go with Mauri ahead of Dabo. Both look like they are coming back into form but there is no need to be cautious so I would opt for Stefano.
De Silvestri should come on at some point. I would slot him into the midfield and take off Brocchi near the end of the game.
I have both good and bad feelings so who knows what way it will go.
