Serie A: LAZIO-GENOA, Sunday, 23-11--08

3 points, no excuses.

I watched the Viola at the weekend and they were appaling. Now with Rioma eleven points behind and Fiorentina looking dire, 4th is up for grabs.

I think Udinese must be favourites for 4th but I do believe we are better than Genoa, Napoli and the chasing pack. If we beat Napoli in that close game earlier in the season, we would be +5 on them so I don't see them as contenders. Genoa are the closest thing to us in the league in terms of quality, so a win is a must.

1) Thank God this game is @ Home. We need to get back in our groove before heading on the road.

2) Rossi, don't F around with the formation. Genoa are beatable. We blew 3 to Rioma, so now we have to make up for it here. Top of the league is get crowded and I don't want Genoa involved in it.

Genoa are a very good side, are having a good season and have good players like Milito. It will not be easy at all but a win is a must for the boys to get back at it. It will be difficult and with Ledesma and Radu both suspended for the match, but I am hoping Rossi goes back to either a 4-4-2 or 4-3-1-2 formation and hopefully that does the trick. I want Foggia, Dabo and Meghni all to start and give Mauri a rest and also perhaps Pandev too and put them on in the second half if need be. A vital game and key to see how Lazio respond following very unfortunate and unlucky derby loss.

the lineup is tooo ofensive... let's don't forget that Genoa are a strong team

@Kurama: Foggia didn't play in the derby cause of the red card, Rossi is maybe stupid but he knows what can Pasquale do. I hope that he will rest at least Mauri or Pandev or in the best case both of them

I think it will be a good choise,and that it's not to offensive,because we have Dabo and Brocchi,they are good in defense,but we all know that with those two we can't make a single chance,but we have Meghni,he is wery creative player and he can make a deferense.Ofcourse Pandev should be playing more midfield.In second half delio could bring Foggia,and Kolarov in.
I think we are going to win this one,but it is not going to be easy...

After last nights match,I agree with you!

I fear this game. I have done so since I saw Genoa mercato. They have a good squad, which seem to be underachieving away from home. That is what we must take advantage of.

Interesting to see what Rossi comes up with now that his love is out after the stupid red against merda. We have to get three, it is the only way to put the derby aside for now and start focusing on climbing the table. We have had an easy path so far and therefore we are up there. But we have to preform better than last night to keep up with the big boys and running over Genoa could be an indication this team actually has some real quality (just look at what teams we have lost to. all are bottom of the table trap). The fight for the fourth spot is crazily tight, and the coming few weeks we will be able to see where in the table we shoudl expect to end up. Have we got the quality to be up there?If so, we must bounce back from the misery of yesterday with a win this round.

Have we got any players out on international duties? Any games that are not friendlies?

why too offensive? Only changed Ledesma for Dabo on the same place and Foggia for Mauri in MF, the same offensibility as Rossi does. But is it real to see it from Delio, its a great question

mauri and rossi are not the same story.

How can he play if he got a red card anyway... Think about it.

If Rossi leave Maurito on bench, we can play a good football.

This match will be a true Lazio and Rossi test, if we can make it he'll be forgiven and we will move on. However very hard game and we have showed that we play not so good against teams like these.

Basic 4-4-2 will be fine for this game
