| There can be no discussion, he would be extremely valuable to us, but we shouldn't raise our hopes. He's back in form and if he becomes available there will be a manhunt for him, with us in last place. | |

| I'm sure everyone else has also heard about this..... Veron has stated he wants to end his career at Estudiantes - but he has also said the only team he would consider moving to is Lazio. So I guess there is always a chance?
Would love to see my favourite all time player back at Lazio!

| It seems Veron's passing ability is still very good....even it is better than it of Baronio's and Ledesma's. | |

La Brujita just won the south american player of the year, 2nd time in a row now. Im sorry to say this, but from what I've seen on tv and based on comments from so called experts about his play, I reckon he is still better than any of our midfielders + we need a proper playmaker. Lotito should try to sign him and get him a 2 year deal. It's worth taking a chance, plus seeing him playing will attract more fans to come to the stadium.

I think Henrik's point is that he denied Lazio this summer, saying he wouldn't leave Estudiantes. I also beleive he is way better than any of our midfielders, but he won't come to Lazio. He is part of our past.

| Yes, that was what I meant. Of course he's still a great player and better than all our midfielders together. But a Veron move to Lazio just isn't realistic. It won't happen. | |

| If we had El Cholo Simeone as our coach, this might be a possibility.
With just Lottito and Ballardini i doubt this would ever happen.

| Veron revealed he had tried to come back to Lazio, but they did nothing. He had just talked with Lotito once, but it was all. He hadn't receive any call after that. Even he insisted Lotito had said Veron wanted a high salary. He has been hurt by Lotito. Ridiculous Lotito!!! | |

| Juan Sebastian Veron admitted to Radio Incontro that he was open to a Lazio return last year but only spoke to Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito on one occasion.
“Last year I tried, but I spoke only once with the president. I told him to talk to my agent, 'La Brujita' said.
The Argentine international, enjoying a fine end to his glittering career back in his homeland with Estudiantes, admitted that he had spoken to Lazio about a move back to Serie A but that they never made their interest formal.
“If there had really been a willingness to get me back, it would not have ended with only a phone call.”
The former Manchester United, Inter and Chelsea man, who won a Scudetto with Lazio in 2000, then accused the club of using his name to divert attention away from the problems at Stadio Olimpico.
“I say this because they deceive people,” he said. “I think that they do these things because the team is not doing well and with the intention of giving a jolt to the environment.”
Veron was also eager to dismiss claims that the move never went ahead because of his own high wage demands.
“Then he [Lotito] wrote that I wanted a high salary, but in reality there was no time to talk about those things.”
Finally, the newly crowned South American Footballer of the Year (the second successive year he has won the award), admitted that while there was still interest from Europe, he will remain in Argentina.
“I have been called by some other teams, but I want to stay in Argentina for my family."
