smelling as? Dousen't Manfredini geet more then that? ive just read some of his declaration's from espndeportes.com, and he says he wont put any salary obstacle. (he refused millions of dollars from inter to return to his loved estudiantes) to return to lazio cause it's his home, where he had the best years of his career. Also he mentioned if simeone arrives as coach, he wont have any problems. the problem is we dont have not EU player spots right now, so he could join for next season , after estudiantes finish his libertadore's participation i would love to see him again with lazio shirt. he would be the captain, this creative/ thinking midfielder we really need .. the kind of midfielder lazio couldn't find since his leaving..... for example mauri is not even 50 % of what veron is

yeah that's true but im totally sure he wont come this season cause he wants to play Libertadores Cup with his loved team Estudiantes de la Plata. we have to accept that team is his first love , in the future he says he wants to become its president .. so next season join will be more reasonable

I think ultimately he wants to finish his career at Estudiantes, more so than play in the big cups. He knows whatever he decides to do, Estudiantes will have him back so if it's a case of he can only come to Lazio now, I believe he will.

| that is why I think we will probably get him on a loan deal, maybe in June
there's also the matter of the 2010 World Cup. Veron missed the 06 WC because Pekerman preferred Riquelme to him and he had a couple of poor seasons, now he's back in the national team, he might want to make a Lazio return to try and secure himself a place in their WC squad. its his last chance to win a major international cup.
certainly Estudiantes is his no.1 side but he does hold Lazio in a higher regard than any other european club he played for.

| Veron back to Lazio would be a dream!! But somehow I doubt our president would bring in a player which would steal his spotlight.. He did it with Di Canio and you saw how that worked out.
However, if he wants to bring the fans a birthday gift, this would be the ultimate one.

| Holly sh!t how much I hate this person, Lotito. I never met him, but I really hate him the way he is dealing with the fans. Any serious president can realize that the return of Veron only would benefit the squad, as he would teach spoiled brats like Ledesma and Mauri how to play good football.
Lotito you BASTARD | |

| Relax PEOPLE! Just wait and see don't jump to conclusions so soon... LAZIO, Lotito talks about Veron Just a few days ago, Argentine midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron (33), currently at Estudiantes, stated that he would relish a return to Lazio. Today, Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito spoke on Radio Kiss Kiss and, when asked about Veron, said : "I read Veron's statements through the newspapers. Personally, I am not keen on having former players return to the club. However, this time, I will think about it and see if a potential deal for Veron would match our budgetary situation and financial parameters. Anyway, Veron is a great player". Apparently, Veron's return to Lazio is a realistic possibility. http://www.transfermarketweb.com/index.php?action=read&idsel=29765 | |

goal.com loves to take things out of context and make news of it. The interview with Lotito was positive about Veron. He said that he didn't like comebacks, yes, but in this case he could consider it because Veron is a great player. If he fits our economic bill then who knows. So stop hating Lotito even more, because who knows, we might get Veron back in june

| easy on Claudio folks. he sees a lot of our golden age as being mercenaries and thus he has not so quick to sign them. he will weigh up the situation with Veron, the pros and the cons and then he will make a decision. we have to trust that Lotito will make the decisions that are right for this club. he has a vision, we need to see it materialise. if JS is part of that vision then excellent! | |

| I get most of my news from Italian news sites as they have untranslated articles
every Italian site I use has Lotito quoted as saying "Veron to return? I don't like old players coming back but as he is a great player we have to consider it."
he also has a dig at the players who left in 2004.
channel4 and goal.com translate these statements into English and use the main point to make a nice headline.
While I agree Lotito is a wanker who thinks he's bigger than the club, he hasnt ruled out bringing Veron back at all......

| Many laziali hates Lotito for many reasons. It's not only THIS time, you have so so many others. He likes too start war whit his own fans and he dosen't care about at all and her comes people and say "don't say something about him yet." Ohh yes we can, yes we can. I know that my english sucks, but belivie me I have understand that Lotito don't want Veron back. And you others who still belivie his words better go in too lazialita.com and traslate it too english whit google translator or something. They give real info beacuse they have Lazio in there blood, not like goal and other shi t. Wake up! | |
