| There will be appeals and re-appeals and it will probably be suspended or something.... I wouldn't bet on this being the end for Lotito yet.... if he is jailed then what exactly would happen, would Boksic be right - a temporary president selected by Lotito, that would be Tare then!..?.. we need to know more I think. | |

| This means lot of problems. Can you tell how our players are filling at the moment. This is the last thing we wanted, a very chaotic situation in this club. If Lotito did this he should be sentence but I'm not worried about him I want to know what will happened with Lazio. Who will control the team, who will make the new contract......or Lotito will try to control things from jail and put his muppet as new president. Damn it, this is not good | |

| I really doubt that Lotito will end up jail. After the appeals and everything he will probably end up with a suspended sentence. It's Italy remember, these things usualy drag on for ages. | |

Well you are probably right, after Juventus ex boss Moggi everything is possible.

| Wow! Believe me, it's not good for Lazio's condition. I think Lotito's issue will influence players on the pitch, somehow. Some quote from http://www.ansa.it/site/notizie/awnplus/english/news/2009-03-03_103328565.html - Quote :
- The jail sentence, which is automatically suspended pending appeal, was four months longer than prosecutors had requested. The fine was 45,000 euros higher.
The Roman club's second-biggest shareholder, Roberto Mezzaroma, was convicted of the same offences and received an 18-month term, two months longer than requested.
Mezzaroma, who also received a one-year ban from public office, was fined 55,000 euros, 35,000 more than prosecutors had asked. We'll see in the next few days..

| As i understand it from other sources, lotito can appeal forever . . . . he is not like go to jail this afternoon, nor tomorrow, nor this week, it could more then a year to go to jail, or otherwise proven innocent. But the question is he suspended really ? (not that it will affect that much, he can assign anyone and tell him exactly what to do and sign). | |

Exactly, it's not going to make a difference if he's suspended or even if he ends up in jail. He will still control the club through someone else.

I really think this is an ignorat statement. Italy isn´t a lawless country and appeals are practiced from A(merica) - Z(imbawe). However this can only be good for the club

| It's not good news! Lotito has been all right, he saved club from going bankrubt like most of the italians clubs has tried, and alsom this can affect Zarate's contract..
Why is this good?
Its Rossi who are the fool.. |

| Well, been a while since i paid a vist to my beloved forum.
The news about Lotito is very good indeed (maybe 1 yr ago), but right now, its not so good. Of course he is not in jail yet, but I just dont want the club to be in a problem as we have to think about Pandev, Ledesma, etc contract renewals. And Zarate fee.
Why has Lotito left it so late with renewals? I mean, maybe he knew that court verdict was approaching and so wanted to delay the contract renewals so that whatever the verdict is, he would want the lazio fans to be dissheartened and want lotito back to finish up his job, CONSIPIRACIES? HEHE, ok forget,
Now lets get back to the subject. If Lotito appeals and appeals over the years, surely if he is still found guilty then this would mean he would have to sell his fraudalant shares including his partners. So the shares are up for grabs?
Lazio are currently doing well and the squads value must be very high with talented players playing for lazio with lots of potential. Just get rid of Rossi and get in a new manager with a pedigree, then Lazio would be a good investment.
Thanks Lotito for helping us, but we dont need a tight ass president. Lotito can go and own a small club. We are too big for him and need a president that will listen to the fans. The fans will come flocking back to the stands, buying merchandise, etc etc, we can be up there again with very good club sales revenues.
Lotito give your shares back and hope to god that some billionaire comes in and buys Lazio

| Yerp Berlusconi wrote himself out of prosecution when he got into power. Current laws will allow Lotito to appeal and therefore escape conviction as the court case will drag on for longer than the sentance....
As he said, like he gives a sh*t...
p.s Goal.com = credible source......

| Easy gentleman.
Lotito...is guilty for the judge and he has been condemned for 2 years ( about) but..reminf that here in Italy there is always a ..but.!!!
Lotito is not in jail and he will not. Thanks to the Italian law system this judgement is not and immediate sentence and Lotito will have a lot of time and freedon to appeal and re appeal and so on until the final judgement. so far Mr Lotito is free and he will continue for long time.
There is only a problem : don't call him the "pure" The Innocent the moralist....coz he is similar to many others.
Bye Bye | |
