yeah but we needed a GOOD central defender, not someone from Reggina whose name I've never heard ... no offense to the Valdez guy....

I very much doubt the Valdez transfer went through, Reggina denied it while there is no official confirmation from our side.

Regarding the transfer of Barreto all there was that he was very close to us, they said that he landed in Italy yesterday, still no confirmation from both sides, the money involved? If he's going on loan back to Danubio or is he allowed to play with our youths?

If they become official Im quite optimistic Barreto has done very well for the U17 Uruguay side he's been the star there has blistering pace, can drible and take penelties, plays as a Forward or Trequartista which would be very useful here, could be the perfect replacement for Goran.

Valdez would be a reliable back-up he's nothing anything special but he's at the right age to make the step-up has 3 full seasons of Italian football experience and there is still time for him to improve, If he signs here I'm sure he would do very well. Maybe the transfer of Valdez from the relegated Reggina can be as successful as the transfer of Rocchi from the relegated Empoli side.

No defender, okay, but at the end of the day i would rather Lotito buy no defender as oppose to being rushed into buying someone for the sake of it.

Lets hope we can manage until January, and this gives Lotito 4 months to look for a defender.

Why would any team BUY them in January, if they didnt show any interest now? Injuries in other teams might be a reason, but teams that actually want any of these two players can wait a bit longer and get them on a free...

This mercato and the problem with Ledesma and Pandev pretty much summons up our biggest problem: Lotito.

Face it guys, we will never fly higher with that idiot controlling our club. He will always put personal pride and relationships before the club.
