Transfers and rumours 08 09 section 3

Once again Cigarini occurs in rumours. I have always seen him as a brilliant talent, but the question is how good he actually is, since he has failed to become a regular in Napoli. Could he be one of the midfielders that we need? We need someone who can play the first ball, being a proper regista, somehow taking the position that Ledesma filled brilliantly the last seasons. A friend of mine told me we are keen on him, and De Laurentis is keen on Ledesma. A swap maybe? But I guess Ledesma will wait for the verdict, then decide where to go.

We have so many players we need to get out and replace. I have no idea how this will be done though, some of them are just far to shitty players to be bought by anyone. What I do know is that we need to strengthen our midfield (as well as our defence, but Balla has managed to make the defence a bit more stable and I regard the midfield of higher importance than the defence atm) with at least two starters to get our game going. All in all, I dont think we have anyone but Foggia who is actually a decent enough player to play in a Lazio midfield. We need to work hard in this department of the winter mercato.

Rever's agent is in Europe trying to finalize a deal with a European club for him. As it seems, there are more clubs than Lazio keen on him, but sometime this week we should know if Rever is a serious candidate for us or not.

I want 2 midfielders. Don't give a damn about the defense right now

I read it today at goal.com - Luis Caceres from an unknown to me team. his agent says he is a great talent....

Maxi Lopez is again very very close to Lazio. According to Gazetta dello Sport he'll be joining us within a week. The deal looks to be set.

And after losing out to Cigarini we're after Napoli's Zuniga, and Genoa's Esposito and Zapater in a deal wich could include Foggia leaving.

It seems to me that we are trying too hard to sign a player, I just hope we don't sign the player just for the sake of it, we have too many deadwood already..

As per topic, so no Cigarini, no D'Agostino, maybe Zapater, maybe Lopez, where's our new "trequartista"??

it's strange to me why we need Lopez after we got Floccari now plus after the 22nd we could use Barreto.. I'm beginning to think we are going to offload some of our attackers cause we are going to have Floc, Zarate, Rocchi, Cruz, Barreto and Lopez if he comes...Somehow I don't see us benching Cruz we are paying him too much to sit on the bench!

Cruz is about to be "offloaded" as is Makinwa. Barreto is too young to contend for the first 11 or even a sub as we have Rocchi, Zarate and Floccari ready and willing. We are trying desperately to offload Makinwa to Moscow.
