Simplicio will be 31 next season, is asking for serious cash and hasn't performed exceptionally for Palermo for a while. Wouldn't have been that great a signing IMO, certainly not a long term one.

The thing is we face two tough obstacles in signing quality players. 1. Everyone will be wary of signing a Lazio contract after the dissidenti situation. 2. We can't guarantee we'll be playing in A next season.

Can't disagree with that but you can be sure any player who puts pen to a Lotito contract intends to honour it after the dissidenti situation. Unfortunately, neither Floccari or Eguren have signed permanently.

That is amazingly cheap. How the hell could Lotito not cough that up?

Lotito wanted to pay the Rever fee in two installments whereas Gremio insisted on one or more money (as Rever had a buy-out clause of 5million euro).

Even if Lotito coughed up the one installment, why would Rever, who wants a World Cup place, choose a relegation battler in Italy over the current German champions. Fair dues, Wolfsburg are not a big club but for the neutral, they are certainly a more attractive proposition than us.

In German media there is rumour about us being interested in Ricardo Costa from Wolfsburg now...as Rever probably signs for Wolfsburg and needs to get rid of a CB...

Tare is on his way to Germany tomorrow to close the deal on Riccardo Costa. The only stumbling block is that they have only after sacked there coach, and the new man may wish to keep him.

The interest in Ederson is 'serious'. However i doubt this sort of deal can materialise in a few days.

He's spent his whole career at very successful sides like Porto and Wolfsburg but he hasn't been first choice in these teams.

The last thing we need is a 'new Cribari' or 'new Siviglia'.

Exactly, I don't really get it sometime, why would we want another fringe player??? I understand the concept, "somebody's trash is someone else's treasure" BUT we have been collecting trash most of the time.. why can we spend quite a bit on CB. At the end of the day, football isn't all about striker or midfielder...

And what about all the Rocchi for De Agostino rumors we are seeing the last two days?

I watched the Milan-Udinese game last night and i must say i will make the swap right away. Our capitano has lost his touch and is on the downside of his career with maybe one more good season. On the other hand, De Agostino is in his best years and is the type of player that we really are missing. His vision of the field is great and he could solve many of our problems. And a midfield with him, a healthy Matu and Eguren...mmmmm.

I know that many of you would like to keep Rocchi, as would i in a ideal circumstances, but we all know that our situation is far from ideal.

D'Agostino is a Roma fan and I would never give our captain and legend for him! Rocchi has to finish his career at Lazio!
