Apparently Salvador Cabanas has been shot in the head in a bar in Mexico City, and is said to be fighting for his life.

It doesnt look good, but hopefully his life stil remains in tact.

Such a thugish act. What a very good striker too. He starts up front for the Paraguay national team along side Nelson Valdez. Would be a huge blow to football.

Fingers crossed.

I was just looking at Eguren's profile on Wikipedia and looked at one of his ex-clubs, Danubio FC from Montevideo, Uruguay. I found some interesting, and unbelievable, information on who formed the club and why it was given that name.

This is of interest to the fellow Bulgarians on the forum (Roman, Martinese, Usampa, Emko, etc.).....


Danubio was founded by the Bulgarian born brothers, Miguel and Juan Lazaroff, on March 1, 1932 together with other youths from the "Republica de Nicaragua" school in Montevideo. Fucking blizzard out there, even school was cancelled because of this piece of sh*t weather.

2 whole months of really cold weather and today, finally, some sunshine and slightly higher temperatures. And what do I do? I take my bike out of the basement, ride it to work and after that ride a bit more and what happens?
I catch a cold.

It seems the more I grow up the bigger the influence of the kid in me gets. I can't believe it.

Banana sandwiches? That sounds disgusting. Honestly, I would puke up and and then put the vomit on the bread and then eat the sandwich. Who has banana sandwiches?! Nothing beats Nutella on it's own sandwiches. The only problem with Nutella I find is that once opened the Nutella in the jar becomes solid and is impossible to spread later.

Nutella must be kept in room temperature conditions and away from sunlight. And never leave the lid off the jar.

And btw pancakes with nutella beat sandwiches with nutella.

Room temperature conditions eh? As in a room namely my kitchen. Temperature? God knows. I do not keep a thermometer in the kitchen. Strike that. I do not have a thermometer in the whole house. Always is a bit chilly in there though but then again God did not bless Blighty with Mediterranean weather. And like you it has been rather cold over here. Away from sunlight? A cupboard works nicely.

Never tried pancakes with Nutella. Sound kind of messy. To be honest never tried Nutella with anything other then white bread but then again I am useless in the kitchen. A usual foray involves going the fridge. Assessing the option. Take that and returning to the living room.

Yeah, he used to toast the bread in oil and fill them with mashed banana and peanut butter.

Toasted white bread, with butter and sliced bananas on top is one of my favourite. Or banana with peanut butter is just as good. Pancakes with apricots, bananas, ice cream and chocolate sauce = yum. And lets not forget the legendary banana split. There's so many options and variations with bananas out there its extraordinary!

Went to the AC/DC Auckland Black Ice Tour concert last night. Awesome. Insane. Hard to describe it.

Arguably the greatest rock and roll band of all time (although my personal favourite is Metallica). Sold out 50,000 people.

Shihad were the opening act! Don't know if you guys know them but they're definitely NZ's best band. Great night!
