OFFICIAL: Bologna hire Mihajlovic Monday 3 November, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bologna have formally announced that they have relieved Daniele Arrigoni of his duties and hired Sinisa Mihajlovic as his replacement.

Arrigoni's position became untenable after Bologna lost 5-1 to lowly Cagliari on Sunday, a result President Francesca Menarini called 'undignified'.

The Felsinei are second from bottom after the opening 10 games of the season and have recorded just two wins in their first year back in the top flight.

Mihajlovic will be presented to the public tomorrow morning at a press conference scheduled for 11am.

The Serb will start his first game on Bologna's bench against fellow strugglers Roma on Sunday and is expected to name a Rossoblu legend as his assistant.

Former Italy goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca is among the front-runners for that position, as is Renato Villa.

Bologna is Mihajlovic's first job as a Coach. He was assistant to Roberto Mancini at Inter between 2006 and 2008.

Bologna were promoted from Serie B this summer, ending a three-year stint in Italy's Second Division. channel4

1-1. be-a-u-ti-ful!

The commentator on bet365 ( irish by my guess, dreadful accent Twisted Evil ) yelled Stendardo and it was hard to tell at first, notice my post was edited, the cameraman pointed at Esposito after the celebrations so I changed it from Sten to Esp.
For a second it was a good feeling thinking it was a former Lazio player who thwarted milanmerdas lucky streak, nevertheless I'm happy with Espositos goal just the same

If it was the same guy I got on Adthe, he was a Scottish idiot (no offence to Gio or any other scots, i'm half-glasewegian myself and that man is a plank).

Shame it was ex-Merda that did the job though...

Caxi, its not ex-merda. Ex-merda Mauro Esposito plays for Chievo now. It's a pretty common name.

Lecce have Andrea Esposito. He's a local Lecce boy, so this will be a massive moment for him. Wink

What a league we are in though! It's phenomenal. Honestly, any team including our beloved Lazio could finish 3rd or 10th. That's how even it all is.

Genoa look the goods everytime they play at the Marassi. Milito now capocannoniere again.

ah, apologies, I knew that. Just when I saw an "Esposito" on the scoresheet, I made an assumption. Knew Mauro went to a newly promoted side, just briefly thought it was Lecce for some weird reason.

Thank you Stendardo! Or was it Esposito? tongue Doesn't matter.

Someone spoiled Milan's parade in the 90+ minute and that's not sth they're quite used to. Finally somebody did the same thing to them, someone beat them with an "Ambrosini" in the 92nd and now Ancellotti has the balls to complain about the referee. Embarassed Suspect

Haha yeah why and what exactly are they complaining about? I didn't see the game or any highlights but I read a headline saying Galliani has told Ancellotti not to talk about the referees from the match!?

But yes I too am glad someone scored against them in the 92nd minute and not them through Ambrosini, or Inzaghi.

Yeah Gio its summer here in NZ now so I have about 3 months off from uni but I'm going back to Bulgaria next week so I won't really enjoy much of the summer but will have a 'real' winter with snow for the first time in about 15 years! Very Happy
