| For some reason I thought the game starts at 18:00 CET. I have Roma Uno on right now and they are reporting about another football team from Rome. | |

| end of first half and it was pure shitt...im so pissed off with this stupid tactic...the one of the 3 center difenders is completely useless...we have to many players in the center and they are so close and easy marked from the others....our 2 strikers r alone with no help from the midfield...fukk you Reja and this shitt of tactic which is for relegation battle. | |

| Hmmm.... lots of work to be done in training it seems! Not a good match, first half was very poor and we let Iran dominate and play in our half. Gareth Barry ( ) was a constant threat to the shaky looking defence. Second half was at least better. Diakite showed glimpses of his awesome marauding best, going on a couple of mazy runs - surely he is a better bet than Biava? Cavanda looked pretty lively on the left and of course Bresciano got his goal by being up with play in the box. It wasn't half strange to see a defence with Scaloni, Cribari and Zauri involved! Kozak looked a bit lost up front and Zarate was at his most frustrating as usual, a good shot in the second half was about his best moment. Still, it's the first real friendly and Iran certainly looked like they had more motivation to get a result. | |

| The post-game interviews were as exiting as the game. But well, it's early in the pre-season. We should give the team more time and also wait for all new players to find their way into the squad. | |

| Our friend Drake 1900 is going to visit la Lazio this saturday in Auronzo. We already reserved for him a special seat near Mr Reja and a new job: carry the fresh water ( 400 bottles) from the Hotel to the training field ( only 1mile). ............................................... Some other comments: few friends are in Auronzo and reports are really good. The team is having good time, concetration is good, the general atmosphere is positive. Players are also haveing a different approach with the fans and the whole staff is working with pleasure. Stefano De Martino , Lazio press manager, just confirmed the same impressions and this facts, for me, are already a good bonus in such a period. All others judgments like players profiles, market, lotito, and so on are, at the moment still relevant but , at least, something good is turning around. | |

| Very poor display by Lazio, and despite it being the first friendly for the season and keeping in mind that we need to give the team time to prepare and practice, I think there were two main areas that made me worried.
1. The lack of creativity in the midfield (again). Really, in the first half, we had nothing going on. With Matu it got slightly better, but there was no sign of any ideas of what to do when the ball was in the middle of the pitch.
2. 3 defenders, 5 midfielders. So lame, so instable, and as someone pointed out already, our players get far to easily marked and we got stuck with no options.
Since I support both teams, it was fun to watch the game, but knowing the low level of Iranian football these days, and that they actually were better than Lazio, makes me worried.
Khalatbari is a player that should have been brought to Europe a few years back, and who would have had the chance to become a decent footballer (on a European level). Other than that, Iran has a great goalie in Rahmati, and a great player in Hajsafeei. '
I liked what I saw of Pintos, overall an interesting display. Same goes for Kozak, whom I felt played a fairly mature game (despite his young age). Cribari looked like sh!t again, and as always. Nice to see Bresciano get a goal. despite it being a lucky one and hopefully he can come to help us this year.

| Not the most inspired or confident display but it was the first 'real' friendly so I'm not too worried, but I am concerned. The lack of creativity is still there and it was evident against Iran. With 5 midfielders you'd think Lazio would be able to create something but it didn't happen and this is my main concern. Matuzalem does well when he's on the field but unfortunately Reja can't rely on him to be fit all season long and someone needs to be brought in immediately. Don't know if Hernanes is necessarily the man for the job but he looks good and surely better than any of our current options. @ Drake: Hope you have a good time at Auronzo mate, and enjoy carrying the fresh water. | |

| I hope that Reja does realise that Kozak has talent and should keep giving him more chances and use him as the #4 striker in the team when the season starts. | |

I doubt that because since Lotito took over Lazio, Lazio would never play another youngster anymore (aside LDS, indeed). This club has lost her faith in developing youth team.
