It seems that Boateng will be brought by Genoa and immediately loaned out to Milan. On other hand, Turkish media reported weeks ago that ledesma is new Galatasaray player. Boh?

Our club needs a character. Zarate 2 seasons ago was that, Hernanes may have the star quality to provide it but we really, really need someone who oozes charisma.

Boateng has that swagger and actually, he seems fairly grounded compared to what he once was. It would be a risk but he could potentially deliver.

But I think there's others out there...

Apparently they are close to a double coup... Ledesma & Rosicky? Its all over their media, blog sites, hell! even the Turk in the factory next door to me today was asking if Ledesma was a good player.

Gala are always linked with thousands of players every year, but this rumor seems to have legs.

I like Charisteas but not as a footballer for about 4 years. Been dropped from the Greece squad now Otto is gone and, well, that says it all.

However, he was vastly underrated, even before Greece won the Euros and getting out of Germany could give him a new lease of life...but it is a risk.

Honestly, the problem with having Kozak as a 4th striker is that if any attacker gets injured, he has to be thrust in, unless we keep Foggia. That for me is the key; in a 4-3-3, Foggia may find room and Kozak becomes useful to throw on late in games as an alternative but if we go with two upfront, Foggia loses significance and Kozak becomes more significant.

In other words, if we play with 3 upfront, Kozak is good to have. If we play with 2, Foggia needs to go and we need to bring in someone with pace. For me, Kozak is the only targetman we need. I think part of the Cruz problem last season was not being able to play the game the way he needed it. So, Kozak suffices.

Any news on when Hernanes will be part of a presentation in Lazio?

And, the thing with Ledesma and Gala must be a joke. why the hell would he move to turkish football compared to extending his contract or just leaving in a year. If it's true he must be retarded.

some sources mentioned that he'll arrive in Rome on the 17th for the medicals, and that he will be presented on the 22nd in our game vs Deportivo la Coruna (the game needs to be confirmed).

He's playing in a friendly vs USA tommorow in New Jersey, I hope to find a stream to check him out...

He won't get through the next 9 months without a break so I don't expect him rushed over or thrown in at the deep end. But Reja has changed tactics so he could well be thrust into action.

Yes, he'll start appearing regularly some time in October, not sooner. He just finished a whole season in Brazil, and Seria A kicks of on August 31st, so there's not enough time to adapt him. Plus he needs to get settled, learn basics of italian and so on and so forth. But even without him we have a half-decent squad, basically the same as last year plus Bresciano, Garrido and Gonzales. So we'll manage by that time without his services, hopefully.

Correction, Deportivo will play Parma on the 21st, so no idea when Hernanes will be presented to the laziali.

The Brazilian championship is barely past a third of its rounds, actually. It has apparently started in May, so Hernanes shouldn't be that tired yet.

why are we looking for a striker?
we have Rocchi, Zarate, Floccari, Kozak and Baretto...that's more than enough for a season with only Serie A and Coppa....
I mean is not like we are involved in Europe or anything..
and Kozak and Baretto are ready to score some goals in Serie A, I think its good to give them a chance!

Looks like Lotito is unwilling to meet Werder's demand of 6.5 million Euros for Almeida. I can't blame Claudio on this one. Almeida is on his final year of his contract and to pay that much for him is ridiculous. I like him and would love to see him at Lazio but not for that transfer fee.

It looks like Lotito and Reja have turned their attention to Graziano Pelle', Aaron Hunt and Marcelo Zalayeta.

Palermo are interested in Ledesma and willing to offer Mauricio Pinilla, who just signed with them a few weeks ago, in exchange. Lazio would seriously get ripped off if that trade went ahead.
