Jean Beausejour - O’Higgins 24. Fabián Orellana - Audax Italiano
I do not have any faith in Basile at all to be honest. He does not call the best players and is tactically naive. I bet you Argentina will play possession football with lots of passing trying to score perfect goals. Basically the same thing as in every match with Basile in charge. Argentina has good players but their coaches have never impressed me. A lot like Spain. Sort of like having the best orchestra but having a trap conducter. Chile have a good coach in Pellegrini but unlucky for you he coach Villarreal.
As for Chile they have some good players but to be honest to many problems in the dresssing room. Hopefully Bielsa not give the game away to the Argentines!

This is the Argentine squad called up for the qualifiers at home to Uruguay and away to Chile:
Goalkeepers: Juan Pablo Carrizo (Lazio) Sergio Romero (AZ Alkmaar) Agustin Orion (San Lorenzo)
Defenders: Fabian Monzon (Real Betis) Javier Zanetti (Internazionale) Martin Demichelis (Bayern Munich) Daniel Diaz (Getafe) Gabriel Heinze (Real Madrid) Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle United) Nicolas Burdisso (Internazionale)
Midfielders: Juan Roman Riquelme (Boca Juniors) Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City) Maxi Rodriguez (Atletico Madrid) Javier Mascherano (Liverpool) Esteban Cambiasso (Internazionale) Angel Di Maria (Benfica) Pablo Barrientos (San Lorenzo) Cristian Ledesma (San Lorenzo) Leandro Somoza (Velez Sarsfield)
Forwards: Gonzalo Bergessio (San Lorenzo) Lionel Messi (Barcelona) Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid) Carlos Tevez (Manchester United) Diego Milito (Genoa)
No Gonzalo of Villerreal. I can not fathom why he is left out when the likes of Colocini, Diaz and Heinze are in. I can not imagine Argentina being top quality team with that kind of crappy defence. Frightful lack of pace. We know San Lorenzo are doing really well in the League but is that reason enough to include three players from there? This is proper qualifying not kick about in the park. This is not trial matches or anything like that. Argentina have only got three wins from eight matches. No Zarate either. Instead Bergessio? Unbelievable.
Tough competition for our Maurito...
Yes it is tough but that it is expected when Argentina have a great selection to chose from but Bergessio made it and I do not think Milito is too far from Zarate espcially with the way Zarate is performing.

In fact the dressing room is quiet now, I dont like much Bielsa but the players beleive in him so, maybe we have some hope to go. Tomorrow's game will be very important, away with Ecuador. Our performance has een good away, and we are waiting something good.

Brasil 4 : 0 Venezueka Ecuador 1 : 0 Chile
Was the worst game I saw ti our NT ... really horrible.
Next game Bolivia vs Uruguay Paraguay vs Perú Chile vs Argentina Brasil vs Colombia Venezuela vs Ecuador
Always difficult to go to Ecuador because of the high altitude. they have a good home record. In fact they have only won at home. Now you have got Argentina at home. You have to win otherwise it will be extremely difficult for Chile to qualify.
As for the Argentiona-Uruguay I am suprised none of the players got a red card. Tackles going in from everywhere. Was not a football match after 20 minutes. Disgusting. Was not impressed by either team. Not much of a football match. Still quite incredible that Paraguay still top.

Chile never won to Argentina in qualifications, so im sure this will not be the time
Beside i always thought that will be very dificult for us to go, our football is not good, very poor; we dont have much players in good team in Europe most of them are always in the bench. And ... who can score to Carrizo???
But ... the best of the miracles is that sometimes happen

Congratulations!
You have never beaten Argentina in qualifying before? I knew it was long time but wow! I saw the celebrations at the end. Incredible for Chile. You were the better team and deserved the victiory. Should have been more to be honest. Well does not matter now. You got the three points and that is what matters.
As for Argentina, that was the worst peformance from them in a long time. Argentina has had some poor performances recently but that one was the worst by far. The gap between the defence and the attack was too big. No link up whatsoever. I have read a lot that many Argentina fans want Basile to resign. I can not blame them.

Thanks guys im more tha happy, as you could see I had not any hope to win, I thought that a draw would be good, but the miracle happened
Yes, is the worst argentinian performance by far, the only that was in his level was Carrizo, he ctached some incredible balls, could be more for us, but 1 was enough. That show that Riquelme is too necesary, the team depends on him beside that Milito could not replace Tevez. Looking the game I thought that thanks God Basile is Basilo and didnt think on Maurito He deserve to be in th NT not Milito, he was a shame.
The argfentinian media say that just Carrizo was the only that show his personality and saved some goals but dribling a ball almost gave it to a chilean ... We are nothing say and asking Basile's head.

Well done Chile! I am sure everyone is very happy with how their team played and a fully deserved victory!
What is going on with Argentina? Only Carrizo had a good game and Messi tried creating but unfortunately could not break down the Chilean defense who all played very well. I guess its no surprise the fans want Basile to resign!

Basile resigned and AFA accepted it ... now they are looking for a coach The argentinian sports TV shows talked about the disaster, because was a disaster for them. I never saw them in such a bad performance, just Carrizo is not hard criticized, te rest was destroyed.
There are 2 names to replace Basile: Sergio Batista and Migual Angel Russo.
Batista, world champion in 1986, is the -20 coach, and they got the gold medal in Beijing; Russo did a great job in Boca and San Lorenzo. But there is a third name: Diego Simeone, but I think this is just a rumor, I dont think he is ready to a NT. The new coach must start his work soon, in a month Argentina will have a friendly with Scotland in Glasgow.

I think it will be Batista. I can't see San Lorenzo letting Russo leave when they are at the top of the standings. All the candidates all lack expierince except Russo.
