| I don't get the need to always have a scapegoat in our first 11. Is it so you can blame someone when we loose? First Baronio, now Mauri. Will be interesting to see who the new one is if he gets benched. Stendardo? Brocchi? | |

You want to say that Maurinho and Baronius are two valuable players, who deserve to be in our starting 11?Not even in Primavera,my friend... Btw,I blame them every time, even if we win CL in Serie B with them!

| Baronio was the best option we had when we couldn't use Ledesma. Mauri... It's really frustarting when he always miss his chances but again, is there really any other options? I'd like to see Hitzlperger get his chance but we can't count on injured players like Matuzalem and Meghni.... | |

| Totally right, man. Many times we are against him, because he did so often bad jobs.
But we also have to say "well done Mauri", when he was strong - and yesterday - this was the case.

| Mauri only got pillaged for missing sitters. He is not the greatest finisher you will ever see, especially when low on confidence.
What he will always give you is intelligence, making smart runs into the box and playing clever passes.
Actually, a player who could learn an awful lot from Stefano is Zarate. Mauri always plays the simple pass whenever it is the right option; Mauro has yet to learn that skill.

Completly agree with you Kris! I already forgot how Mauri played in his first season at Lazio, but never lost the hope that he will find his form again.. If he could be atleast half the player that he was in the first season, we are out of the drop zone for sure. Mostly becouse importance of the role that he plays for the team in creativity and connection the midfield and the strikers.

| One great game and here we go with the trap that Zarate can learn from him...and maybe Lippi has to call him up. Lets see if he can keep that form in the upcoming games. I really hope for the best of Lazio that he really can be a helping hand to escape from the bottom. | |

| i m not expecting creativite a lot of goals or assists from him,but he could be worth if we use him in proporcional way(to play in middle,to cover other our players when they attack,to make the foul in the right place(before is to late),to give the simple ball before the assist for goal(his best side before three or four years),to score after corner kicks... just i m hope that he will be used in middle not as trequartista, also he could be worth for one half etc. and c mon guys after one good game we cant say that zarate have what to learn of him(becouse if he play two or three good games than we can be so optimistic and somebody can write that messi or ronaldo have what to learn from stefano ) | |

What i think he was saying, was that even in his bad games, the only constant is that he plays simple good percentage passes in that last attacking third. Something that Zarate has yet to display even in his best games. If our attackers can keep this simple movement and all be on the same page, it will reap divedends. However, in an overall match performance, I agree that Stefano is yet to display a total masterclass. But last round vs Cagliari, he was fucking close.

| glad to see mauri performing like he did log time ago. unfortunately 2 good games is not enough, he HAS TO keep it up and I really hope he does. Mauri is the only player we have to fill the gap between the midfield and the attack, its no surprise that when mauri started to perform automatically we start to score.
best of lock stefano! | |

| 3 great performances in a row, now we see why the guy was capped for the Azzurri...
Loving the fact that his haters are keeping quiet these days. Anybody who criticises Mauri as a footballer really doesn't know what they're talking about. One of the most talented guys in the team, lack of confidence is his only problem.
Kudos to Reja for keeping the faith.

Kudos to Reja for keeping the faith. r u serious ? - if you r, i bet you don't watch Lazio or football. and he was good last night but to say that he was "great" 3 times in a row OMG....Sneijder from Inter or Diego from Juve, Pastore from Palermo... - aren't great last 3 games but they play much more good than Mauri...do you know what job should do Mauri...do you know how many points we lost this year mostly by his fold... and im not Mauri hater - i watch football. ..and i don't read the game - i watch it 90min.

| Three good games from an old favourite, but he has been underperforming the last few years, and this year. Now he is showing that he knows this game, but he needs to show that for more than three games before he gets my full praise as back in the days. Keep it going Stefano, at the moment you are helping us staying up and that is all that matters... | |

| What did i tell you. Keep that international talks and superstar talks quiet. This brick has finally found the way to play for the money hes payed. Nothing more nothing less. In my eyes he still is a fuc*ker who missed like 10-15 sitters because of what we sit in the bottom of the table. 7 games until the end. If he keeps that form i will forgive him. But yet again....if lotito or who ever has money then i would change him without thinking. Hes average but we have nobody to play there either. | |
