| A few days ago, during a new session of the trial which opposes the President of S.S. Lazio 1900 Claudio Lotito against some members of the Irriducibili, the President declared that he has always been talking about "facts, not people".....a kind of retreat which could ease a little bit the position of the defendants. After all, it is quite unusual, to say the least, for a President of a football club to go around heavily escorted like a Prime Minister or a Chief Intelligence Officer....escort paid by Italian taxpayers.... | Dear Howie, you may not know that the President of S.S. Lazio 1900, Mr. Claudio Lotito, has been fighting a legal war against the Ultras group known as "Irriducibili". A few years ago, when the President took control of the Club, heavily indebted and with the very serious possibility of being relegated in a minor League, the Ultras Lazio gave a very important contribution by several marches, demonstrations and even violent clashes with the Police...according to a very realistic estimate of Italian authorities, confirmed in a televised interview by Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, there was the risk of very serious and violent confrontation by several thousands supporters of S.S. Lazio 1900 and the Italian riot police in the streets of Rome. A last-minute deal which allowed the Club to pay its debt by a 20 years mortgage, defused tensions and allowed President Lotito to take control. After that, for a time things seemed to work but then the President began to impose his policy according to which "there could be no room for organized supporters and their interests"....For you to understand, you must know that Irriducibili are structured and organized as a little militia, have a strong sense of allegiance and identity and run their own business as a means of financing their activities (merchandising with their logo, tickets, organization of bus and trains for away matches, etc.). In any case, four members of the group are currently under arrest and facing trial for a legal suit presented by the President...in a country like Italy, where Italian justice is managed by magistrates showing a rare and suspicious efficiency and tenacity in this case against Lazio's Ultras.... I hope that I helped you to understand... Forza e Onore Gundebondo | |

| I think Howie meant he didn`t understand the significance e.g. Lotti says Facts not People- fact is he appears surrounded by a military style guard - fact is the money is thrown away by the taxpayer or something..... sorry but I don`t get it now either | |

| Hahaha what I did not understand was really the wording on the original topic. I am sure a lot of people are confused on what you are trying to argue also (thus the lack of reolies) I do know the situation of IRR and Lottito and its significance. I just can't really understand the post. Cheers m8! | |

| I think what the original post meant was that Lotito's words may cause the Irriducibili to look more favourably upon the president. it also remarks on the bizarre situation the legal case could cause. no? | |

| Dear Howie, I'm not surprised by your difficulty in "understanding" the topic....if you are not very well acquainted with the way Italian fans in general and Lazio's supporters in particular live their passion for their team, thousands of words will not serve the purpose....but try harder...maybe in a few years you will get the meaning....Caxi, on the contrary, has understood....

Forza Lazio Gunde Caro Gunde, LazioFever.com has been the only voice during the past years regarding Lazio and whatever surround it . We try harder with translations, radio( we did a radio show) and articles to inform our friends worldwide about any situation free from any pressure as in the city . We translate quite all infos regarding CNord and IRR and we also try to give a clear ( libera) information about it. Most of our supporters are fascinated by CNord and when they come to the Olimpico for the Derby they have eyes solo per la Curva. On the other side you understand that , for them, is difficult to feel what we , living here, are feeling. So , please , in the future i ask you to report the news about that trial as u did with short comment explaining the general situation for a better understanding. Grazie

Thanks for the clear up Caxi. Shorter sentences and simpler words help a lot. That is the way to clear up ambiguous sentences. Not by jumping to conclusions and being offended ("strong feelings") for minor things. Aren't we all supposed to help each other understand here? Isn't the purpose of a post is to inform and explain?

In that case who and what were the charges? 2. Has there been any connection with the Spartacus-trial? (camorra trial in Naples). 3. Have Chinaglia returned for the trial or is he still "hiding" in the u.s?
If I am correct the arrests were made in october 2006. Its been almost 2 years now and the trial is still going on?? Ann by the way ermitico, I love to see this forum back on its feet, and I see you sooner than you think :) /Lerneby

| Hi Matt , glad to see you here again.
The situation is: Chinaglia is in Usa under the lawyers protection and Usa laws. The 3 guys( Fabrizio, Fabrizio, Yuri) are at home with restrictions ( No calls, letters, or any other comunication) and they are not aloud to exit. 1 Paolo is "free" but with restrictions .
Today , as u can notice in the news papers , is official that The Casalesi clan ( The most famous camorra clan) was involved in the transaction and Chinaglia was too. The judge already signed the documents for official research and jail for 10 people ( including Chinaglia) and he also declared that the supporters Laziali were not aware ( informed) about this hidden sitution and that could be a hope for the four guys to be free soon.
At the moment this is the situation that has keeped us, Laziali, on the blade for almost 2 years.

| I'm upset with this. I feel like a sucker. A pawn. A fool. I'm not mad or angry, but just disappointed. For two (2) years, we have discussed this. The simple fact that an "unknown" group was going to purchase Lazio and save us. That maybe Chinaglia will come back to the club he loves and save us. Now this. How did they NOT expect to get caught? This is rubbish and the fact that it went on for two years and kept us all hoping and praying that this "unknown" millionaire was going to save the club was in fact a farce? ! Chinaglia...I don't think I can forgive you for this act of stupidity. Did you have Lazio's best interest at heart or your own ($$$$$$).

ridicolo ce sarai! why don't you report the words of the Digos' Chief Giannini, who said that "at the moment there is no evidence that the fans knew where the money was coming from"? the time where people can vomit on the fans is about to end. We'll see, then, those who stand up, and those who will have to give their apologies.
