| From all of them, I think Talamonti had the most games with us. He played i think 5 or 6 games but never signed permanently. He could have been a good alternative defenders.
We also had Evacuo who scored a goal under Zaccheroni i think. And don't we have a young French GK in the squad?

| Talamonti went to River Plate after leaving us, I think he played 6 games for us in total and yes, he did score a sweet goal, then he moved to Atalanta and I'm not sure, but I think he's still there on some kind of loan deal.
I remember Melara in the Boro game too, Rocchi had a head injury and couldn't start the game, I remember Rocchi coming on with a huge bandage round his head. we lost 2-0 I think, an awful game for us.
I think Sannibale may have played that game too. didn't we have a severe injury crisis or something?
Sannibale was loaned out last season, at least for a while.
anybody remember Claudio De Sousa's contribution to our club? I remember we loaned him off Lodigiani and he scored for us in a game, can't remember which one.

| I remember all these players. I don't think I saw them all play for Lazio as I don't get to watch all the games but there were definitely some interesting signings that Lotito made. I read that it was all in the last 24 hours of the transfer season that he signed those 9 gentleman because he realised he only had something like 16 fully registered professionals in the squad or something.... I think I read it on the old soccernet website - or perhaps goal. From them only Rocchi and Siviglia are still wearing the biancocelesti colours today and quite finely at that too. The Filippini brothers were awesome at Lazio, I loved them especially in the derby win with, I think, Antonio knocking over tottina once or twice I also liked Talamonti, Seric and Gonzalez and hoped that they would stay at Lazio as when I watched them they impressed me definitely but unfortunately Lotito did not resign them. I really thought that he would at least sign Talamonti. That boy was a beast in that same 3-1 derby crushing! I also remember Robert and Mea Vitali who were sent to the youth team and then loaned out I think? I remember that De Sousa goal against Messina. I also thought Arenas would stay at Lazio - perhaps go to the primavera but it seems as though Lotito has sold him off. And what about Delgado? I remember he was sent on loan to Spal I think 2 seasons ago and also Sannibale to Juve Stabia. Melara also went somewhere that I am not sure about and there was a few others aswell. | |

| I didn't think Rocchi was one of the nine, although he was signed that season, but I'm not sure exactly who the nine is, as I've thought of another name:
Cristiano Gimelli | |

| he didn't go back to Argentina, he went to Mexico and played for America. I'm pretty sure he went back to Racing and has recently moved to the MLS.
the ironic thing is, his goalscoring for these clubs is better than when he was at Lazio!

| yeah, but only to an extent. he's played mainly as a sub since he left Lazio and he is averaging a goal to every 3 games or so. He went back to Racing I think, which is a fairly poor side and he bagged many goals coming off the bench.
the guy still has quality, he could probably still cut in Serie B, maybe even Serie A. it's a shame he went nearer to home so soon.

| Lazetic was brought in to replace Manfredini who was loaned out to Osasuna. That was 5 and a half years ago and Manfredini is still at the club. | |

And Delgado is only 22,he's at Potenza Calcio. Yeah, he left us three years ago to Serie C2 for Spal, then Potenza. Curiously he was one of the unlikely heroes the last time we smacked Inter. A nice memory this one (watch for nr 41 making the pass for the winning Zauri goal:) ) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDNqngerSE0As for Boshnjaku he left us to sign for la merda, then played in Serie C and now is in German lower leagues. Just shows you how quickly you can turn from a hot prospect in top Serie A side to a nobody, playing in a semi-professional club. Actually got interested to take a look how are some of our former prospects doing. Emanuele Concetti - GK, was in the 99/00 squad, but only 2 matches with us. Later played in Serie B, C, was at Chievo in 06/07 but now god knows where. Emiliano Conti - Defender, also in 99/00 squad. Later played at lower leagues and no further info available. Probably gave up. Felice Evacuo - Not our product but was in 01/02 team. Now at Frosinone in B Andrea Luciani - Started with us in 01/02, was later loaned out to many lowly clubs then finally left to Avellino, now at Cisco Roma in C. Daniele Ruggiu - Our product with "start date" of 00/01. Eventually went from B to D and now not found at all. Emanuele Berrettoni - Another from 00/01. Played all his way down to Serie C2. Pietro Varriale - And another from 00/01 that ended up low. Fabrizio Melara - Appeared in 04/05 but disappeared to lower leagues, in Serie C now. Daniel Ola - Remember this defender we've taken from Ghana, apparently quite promising? Played in Serie C, last seen in Serie B with Cesena. There are also the likes of Daniele Greco, Alberto Quadri, Simone Sannibale who might still be owned by us but have been loaned to lower sides and unlikely to make an impact. On the other hand there is Giampiero Pinzi (Udinese), Marco Di Vaio (Genoa), Marco Pisano (now at Torino). But you could really say that in Lazio only like one or two of 15 young players making the main squad (not even mentioning those who never do that) are able to make something out of it The question is - is our youth system that poor or it's the reality of football? I guess a bit of both but you have to admit the riomisti have done much better in that aspect recently, having two fools in the national team and a couple more in the Under-x teams (one of them Aleandro Rosi who switched to the dark side at young age). I'd say it's certainly an area we must improve because it was basically not used in the high spending days and degraded in the years of chaos after Cragnotti left. It's definitely worth looking at especially as with the next 10 or 20 years (if ever) we won't be able to compete with the big Northern trio (Juve, Milan, Inter obviously) in spending power. and maybe even with rioma or Fiorentina. Young prospects aside, some others who was curious to look at: Christian "The Skill" Keller - now at Stabaek in Denmark. Matias Lequi - had high hopes for him but it never turned out good. Now he's with Celta Vigo in La Liga so that's not bad. Andrea Giallombardo - the rather useless full back is now at Ascoli. Guillherme Siqueira - still at Udinese, apparently, after we sold him in getting Pandev's 50%. Massimo Bonanni - Was quite an interesting player but probably too average. Now at Bari. Roberto Muzzi - Not the most talented but a passionate player. Now in Padova at Serie C. Guess I've done too much digging now so it's probably time to end Anyway was interesting to relive some older memories.

| this is a very interesting topic, keep the suggestions coming
I think in recent years, only De Silvestri has really come up through the ranks.
here's a few more names:
Giovanni Orfei - currently at Hellas Verona, young prospect, never played for us as far as I know Djair - Brazilian youngster, joined Lazio around 15 years ago, been all round Brazil ever since, not sure if he ever played for us Francesco Mancini - played a few games for us, then went to Bari for a few years, been swapping clubs ever since Emanuele Pesaresi - played a couple of games for us, now playing for Triestina
that's just a few that I remember seeing at other sides and not so much for Lazio.
