no, in all seriousness, Serie A is a massive step up from the Norwegian League. I'm not saying nobody from that league can step up and be successful in Italy, but the likes of Christian Keller will always fail, although I'm glad he's doing well elsewhere.

im still pissed of becose we didnt sign Talamonti.who watched him knows how godd this players is.I still think he is better from our all CB.The games he played was almost perfect.He playd Derby along with Giannichieda at CB
possition and we won derby.He played good game against Inter where his only mistake was when he wasnt good positioned at high ball, and ball pasted over his head and Adriano scored.but he made for taht mistake scoreing a good goal by head.It was a big mistake for not signing him.

anyone remember Rivaldo from Venezia??? I remember when he debiuted I think was in coppa italia.Mancini gave him a chance and Lopez was encourage him before he entered the pitch.it looks like he now plays at Potenza.

And thing about Claudio Lopez.When Lotito bought Lazio he immediately banished all playera who had big salary concrtact.

I remember when Mimo Caso took team and I expected Lopez at traning camp and fhew days later he went to America mexico.And he called Delgado and one game at pre-seasson matches he playd together with Pandnev in attack ad scoerd one goal.I tought we will be a good player in the future but aparently I was misstaken.Look now where is pandev and where is Delgado...

i do remember talk of rivaldo, but it was never to be.

and i had the same sentiments about talamonti, i remember he had a very good derby and did well against adriano vs inter. yes, it was his mistake that conceded a goal but other than that he was solid in the back and played well considering he had a very difficult forward to mark at the time. not sure why we didn't hold on to him.

I actually think Talamonti would be ideal for Lazio now.

Lopez was horrible too, he actually did not diserve shower after match like keller too!

I've read this thread and it gave me som fun memories . It also made me think of the match against Middlesbrough in the Uefa cup 2004 when Lazio fielded this team:

Lazio: Casazza, Oddo, Oscar Lopez, Couto, Seric, Antonio Filippini, Dabo, Giannichedda (Melara 14), Cesar (Manfredini 64), Di Canio, Delgado (Rocchi 50).

A miracle that we didn't suffer a greater loss!

we were absolutely disastrous in this match, we were fielding players who weren't even Serie B standard and we were beaten soundly.

that's when I knew Caso was a mistake, we actually started the season alright. I think this is the game anyway

Greco was considered very promising at one stage, a solid defensive type midfielder if I remember right? Haha I almost wet myself laughing remembering Keller. One of the craziest signings ever but seemed like a really good guy - on the basis of an interview I remember him giving (might have been to someone on the old site?)
Also Russotto just signed with Napoli

What team is that?

Sorrento are a small club in Serie C1 I think. They were in Serie D not long ago but they put a few promotions together.

Time to bring this up. Our friend Christian Keller just won the norwegian league with his team Stabæk today.
