Lets hope they , the Qatari , don't prolong the negotiations and ruin the deal... Because such statement at their site is strange for me and as well we all know how good are the Arabians when bargain ...

I think it's clear that we have an agreed price on Zarate. That can't be changed. I think it is talking about if we decide not to take Zarate then the price tag that was published last year for him would not be current for other clubs to make offers. They are clearly marking that if someone else wants him, if we say no, they will have to pay more. His value has gone up, but we have a set option to us.

WTF !? I'm pissed of right now ! It's a fucking contract ! They must respect it ! That way they could easily want 30 mil euro for Zarate ! WHAT THE HELL! They can go make an agreement with an other club telling us they want 30 mil euro (for example) which is not in our capabilities and sell it to mentioned club! IT IS NOT RIGHT!
So they give us a player and they basically say: if he proves to be good you can have him for a price that we tell you and if he is not good you can have him for a price we negotiate right now? F*CK THEM!

Beautiful video (what´s the name of the song?). I also love this guy. I hope we can keep him and he stays for many years with us!!
Only his brother - I don´t trust him (because of some comments). I think that his brother wants him to go to another club, to a "bigger" club - Not now, but in one or two years.
I think that his brother don´t know, that Mauro is at the biggest and best club of the world!

Meyo great work. I mean you can all see the difference there. I think its not possible to change the already made agreement. It a bullshit by the media. What if Zarate turned to be smelling as, can we paid less then. No the deal is done and I think that everyone waits for Lotito to transfer the money.

Guys, I visited the website of Al Sadd to read the news claimed by goal.com that it was from Al Sadd Official Website and it says that they have the right to raise the price of the player, actually the article in English on Al Sadd Website claims that so Goal.com reported correctly from Al Sadd Official Website.
After the shining of Zarate in the Italian league this season his value raised in the European market. Now there are many offers on the table for Zarate. In addition to the offers there was the agreement concluded the last summer between Al-Sadd club and Lazio, which gives Lazio the priority in buying Zarate. Because of these offers and escalating price of Zarate and the wish of many clubs to join him, it is expected that Claudio Lotito visits Doha nearly to negotiate the status of the player with the management of Al-Sadd Club and convey the wish of Lazio to purchase him. It worth to mention that the excellence of Zarate gives the club the right to demand high price for selling him
Now I got suspicious because the English of the News is not that proper, so I read the Arabic version (being a Lebanese, Arabic is my mother tongue), and I need to tell you that the English version is not a very accurate translation of the Arabic news which is naturally the original news since Al Sadd is an Arab club.

Translation:
The demand for Lazio's and Argentina star Zarate has increased in Europe after the player excelled this season in Serie A. There are many mouth watering offers for the player from many big clubs in Europe, and not only big clubs, but clubs which won the CL at some point of time. However since we do not have the right to announce the names of those clubs, we will not.
In addition to those offers, there is the agreement between Lazio and Al Sadd which was drafted last summer and which gives Lazio the priority in getting the player's signature. With those various offers available and the increase of the value/price of Zarate and the will of many clubs to purhcase him, it is expected that Mr. Lotito, Lazio President, who is under pressure to sign the player, will arrive to Doha in the coming days to directly negotiate with Al Sadd Administration to settle the future of Zarate.
The excellent skills of Zarate displayed this season has raised the value/price of the player, a value deemed much more than that which was agreed Last summer, and this gives the right to the club to raise the price of the player in case one of the European clubs really wanted to sign him.
As you can see, the article does not really specify whether Lazio is counted amongst those European clubs or not due to the fact that lazio have a separate agreement, the article is hinting that the value of Zarate is more than which was agreed last summer which is granted, but it does not specifically mention that lazio will have to pay more, such an important point would have been mentioned explicitly and not left vague. The way I understand it, is that it gives the moral right to Al Sadd to raise the price of the player in case other clubs wanted to buy him, not Lazio.
Anyways I think its stupid to think that they have the right to raise his price, usually these clauses are agreed before hand.
Thanks Meyo. I believe that this info regarding Zarate deal deserve the LF Lazio in general section instead of this one where we could talk about Zarate matches and life. I thanks u for translating this news from Al Saad and any other source where u can get informations.

Guys. Is a fragile moment. Lotito with his arrogant behaviour belives that he can do whtaever he want with anyone. Today's the bargain for Zarate is on 3 fields: The Al Saad The Player The Bank for the payments.
What he believe is that he can manage everything and everyone without considering that there is always someone stronger. Also he did not manage the delicate matter of the salary (2.mln) request by Zarate and the disappoint created in Pandev , Rocchi, and some other old players .
Zarate could be a problem also for the ambience because in rome we are all fascinating and waiting for a player like him. So be careful guys because there are many scenario now and , personally , i am really disappointed how this all situation has been managed by Lotito.
Please don't create in this topic a chat about Zarate transfer but move your , respectful, conversation in Transfer and roumurs because this topic is made for different matters. Grazie

I'm very, very very very very afraid that in the near future he might choose a richer club over us. I hope Lotito won't let it come to that! FORZA ZARATE, the fans' favourite!

Calcio Debate: Lazio On The Rise Again, Mauro Zarate A True Phenomenon Last night Lazio won their first piece of silverware under club president Claudio Lotito. With the achievement set to push the club forward well into next season, Stefano Federici analyses the bright future for the Biancocelesti...
Since taking over as president of Lazio in 2004, Claudio Lotito has not been the most popular figure, struggling to break free from the glory days of the Sergio Cragnotti era. As the Biancocelesti faithful had become accustomed to high profile transfers and regular European football under the previous regime, it was only natural that by restructuring the club's finances Lotito would burn a few bridges as he looked to save his side from extinction. In spite of the critics and the doubters, the Lazio patron has always stuck by his guns and slowly but surely his choices seem to be paying off.
When Ousmane Dabo stepped up inside a packed Stadio Olimpico to slot the winning penalty past Luca Castellazzi, the doubters were put to rest as Lotito’s Lazio made its mark on history. Four difficult years of sacrifice and hard work had been worth it, as his side took their first piece of silverware in half a decade. With many Aquilotti having to retract their disdain for the president following the recent achievements, the patron’s biggest feat has arguably been to unearth a star, namely Mauro Zarate.
A Star Is Born
Since his arrival in the Eternal City during last summer’s transfer window, Mauro Zarate has become an instant idol on the blue side of the Tiber. After an explosive introduction into Italian football with six goals in the opening rounds of the campaign, many debated whether El Pibe De Haedo had the making of a true phenomenon. As a proud Lotito confidently compared his ZarateKid to another famous Argentinian No.10, some critics were quick to brush off Zarate as simply an unknown talent who was being given too much space by defenders unaware of his quick feet and ability to shoot from range. Others, such as Goal.com's Carlo Garganese were in no doubt that Zarate was comparable to Barcelona's great Lionel Messi.
With the build up to the final being billed as Zarate vs. Cassano, it was here where Zarate showed the world he is nothing less than a talent of stratospheric nature. With some top players delighting all season only to go missing in the decisive encounters when it really counts, Zarate has proven he is born for the big showdown. In an almost carbon copy of his fourth minute goal in the fiery Rome derby, Maurito took centre stage with another moment of sheer brilliance, just 240 seconds into the Coppa Italia final.
In the wake of the prolonged transfer saga, which saw the mercurial youngster sign a five year contract with the Biancocelesti, it was reported that Zarate requested an increased training plan from his entourage back in Argentina, as he looked to prepare for the final in the best possible manner. With his hard work and determination paying off for all to see in the Coppa triumph, it seems clear that Lazio have unearthed a player with the capabilities to put them back on the world stage.
The Future Is Now
After lifting their fifth Coppa Italia, Lazio not only crowned a successful finish to what has been a season full of ups and downs, they more importantly secured a place back in Europe for the coming season. Claudio Lotito’s side are now set for an August 8 Supercoppa Italiana showdown in Beijing against the almost certain Italian league champions Inter.
With the weight of a season bearing down on the result of the final, Lazio ensured a place in the Europa League, which could prove vital in ensuring the likes of Cristian Ledesma and Goran Pandev sign new contracts to tie them to the club for the long haul. Should Lotito manage to retain his biggest assets and bring in some reinforcements over the summer, it could well signal the start of another bright period for the Biancocelesti.
With the balance of power starting to shift within the walls of the Eternal City, it now looks as if Rome’s first club is set to take centre stage once again, as they look to fly the flag in Europe.
What are your views on this topic? Is the future bright for Lazio? How good is Mauro Zarate? Goal.com wants to know what YOU think...

Another blockbuster goal last night, virtually all his goals have been highlight reel stuff, and he always steps up when it matters, Derby, Juve in the coppa and last night. Big game player.

Not the greatest list of all, and it doesnt really give him or us anything...but still honourable and interesting to see how highly Zarate is valued, and regarded, around Europe...
