| In my opinion, Rocchi is overrated striker, very weak in one-on-one duels, very fragile and not so fast. And next year he will be 32! Balotelli is like Pandev, Inter's gem,who cant get space. | |

| Rocchi is our captain and done so many things in Lazio and we will respect him always but he is getting old and off form. Plus the incidents that he has done with Rossi and Zarate. He must understand that if we want ever to go to CL he is not player for that and we need to improve. | |

| Balotelli has a terrible attitude. The guy doesn't even try at Inter training, admitted by Mourinho, and that is a big club!! Think of how he'll act at a smaller team like Lazio.
Mario has a big problem where he thinks he is going to become Italy's finest just naturally. Bad mentality and we want to trade away our captain and leader for him??
We already have one selfish forward in Zarate.
Rocchi missed a pre-season and got a serious injury, it will take time but soon he'll be scoring again.

| the exchange between Ballotelli Rocchi only on loan exchange, so I don't see any good in that exchanging act... they get the experienced player and we get the green player.. and after the term of loan over we get the too old experienced player back and give them back their green player which has becoming the experienced player... | |

| Lazio Tie Zarate Down Until 2013 - Report The Zarate kid will be kicking his way around Lazio for the next five years after reaching an agreement to stay on permanently...
Lazio have reached an agreement with Al Saad which will see Mauro Zarate stay at the Stadio Olimpico for the next five seasons.
The Argentine striker has been a revelation in Serie A since his summer arrival, and the Biancocelesti have wasted no time in taking him on permanently.
Sportmediaset claims a deal will be signed, sealed and delivered within the next few days and Lazio president Claudio Lotito has added weight to the rumours.
"We will honour his contract and, as for the rest, there is already an agreement with those involved," Lotito said.
The Italian club will pay Al Saad around €15 million for Zarate's services. A number of top clubs were after the hit-man but Lazio have moved quickly to ensure their man doesn't leave.
Zarate's new deal will also see his wages increase over the five-year period. He is currently earning around €800,000 but will be on €1.5 million by the end of his contract.
Real Madrid were snooping around for the star but they will miss out. It's a great investment from a financial perspective as Lotito may decide to sell in future and make a healthy profit.

| It's that time of the year again, when sports news is dominated by fantastical transfers and improbable rumours, with a couple of realistic moves meshed in between.
Speculation is rife in Italy at the moment, with the transfer window to open in two weeks, while agents justify their pay by securing their clients a move or a contract extension.
Today an interesting rumour is circulating in the peninsula, with Argentinian defender Roberto Ayala at the centre of the talk.
It seems that the player is keen to secure a move away from Spain and Real Zaragoza, with the Italian capital in mind. The central defender and former Argentina international has been offered to Lazio by his agent for the remainder of the season.
The player is believed to be available for less than €1 million, and is willing to return to the Serie A. Ayala played for Napoli from 1995 to 1998, transferring to Milan for two years thereafter.
A decision from Lazio president Claudio Lotito is expected soon, but it seems unlikely that a team based so heavily on the concept of a more youthful side would invest in the 35-year-old veteran defender.
If such a move were to be completed, it would no doubt further the notion that Serie A is fast becoming an old age home where former greats go to retire.

source: www.lazio4arab.com sorry a little correction, the name is João Miranda... a really great talent, he is as good as AC Milan new transfer Thiago Silva and both are the current member of the Brazillian National team. But I doubt Lotito has enough budget to buy him though... i read somewhere that his price tag is about 15 million Euro.. I would be ok if we get Ayala.. even though he's as old as Seba, but unlike Siviglia, Ayala's defending skill was among the world's best.. and maybe still is.. and we have many young CB's waiting in line.. Diakite, Radu, Tuia etc.. maybe Ayala the Master can teach them how to make a perfect offside trap.. one million euro is really cheap for someone like him..

| About Miranda:http://esportes.terra.com.br/futebol/europeu/2008/interna/0,,OI3400682-EI11632,00-Lazio+pode+tirar+zagueiro+Miranda+do+Sao+Paulo.htmlIt says: Lazio would be keen on signing Miranda from São Paulo, according to the Italian daily Corriere dello Sport. The defender, three times Brazilian champion by the club from São Paulo, could have his transfer to the team from the Italian capital facilitated for holding Portuguese citzenship, according to his lawyers. Miranda, 24, has begun his career at Coritiba, having played at Sochaux (France), before going to São Paulo in 2006. The defender arrived at Morumbi Stadium to replace Lugano, who had been transfered to Fenerbahce, and quickly became part of the starting eleven. His good performances had rewarded him with caps for the national team, as in the friendly against Portugal in November 19th, won by Dunga's squad for 6-2 - the defender, however, didn't play. Elected one of the best central defenders of the last Brazilian Championship, Miranda was spotted by Milan, but the Rossoneri gave up after the deal with Thiago Silva, from Fluminense. I have seem him playing a couple of games this season, but the fact is that São Paulo has the best defense among Brazilian teams. He is a very solid player and have had experences in the Libertadores Cup as São Paulo had participated every year since he has joined the club. | |

well you are right Cash but Lotito did surprise us a lot the last mercatto so I don't see a problem why he can't do it again this winter, esp when he is a master in the on-loan deal :) ... I'll keep my fingers crossed

| We need one player who is good enough to walk straight into the first 11 - no matter what position.
If we reason like this and look at our squad and our assets that player is a no brainer!!
1. We can not afford a striker better then the ones we have (Rocchi, Zarate, Pandev). 1. We can not afford a goalie better then the one we have (JPC).
We don´t really need a defensiv player on midfield (dabo, brocchi and to some extent ledesma).
We can´t afford a playmaker better then Ledesma (that´s sad .... honestly that´s heartbreaking) and Matuzalem is on his way back.
The trequartista position can be filled so - so by 4 players: Foggia, Pandev, Meghni .... mauri?
The right fullback position looks really interesting with both Licht and DeSilvestri = priority 0.
The CB position ... I don´t know about you guys but I want to see if Diakite can grow into that role and if we put him down as a given then we have Rozenahl, Cribari and Sivgila and since we can´t swap 2 of those for one great I think we can consider that position inert.
Left fullback then .. Well since both Radu and Kolarov suck we have to consider that position open.
Now there is 1 player who was amazing but is now sucking badly who we might be able to buy - Vargas.
He was amazing for Catania for 2 seasons and then he went to Viola and just didn´t get into it. With so little happening on our left wing I think it could be a really cool option and most importantly an option that could happen (Hamsik to Lazio just won´t happen so).

| Vargas is great but we have Kolarov, I think it's waist of money. And EVERYBODY knows Lotito and he is not that guy who loves to spend much money. Goal said that we are going too buy a player from Pisa? A new Vignarioli maybe. I hope God is whit us laziali. Gezuar Viti i Rri. | |
