| Another difficult game and even more so as Napoli are having a very good season and are just 1 point ahead of Lazio makes sure for a good, tight, close contest where hopefully Rossi gets the tactics right this time and there is a better performance by the entire team this game. They have a good squad with very talented players like Hamsik and Lavezzi and they need to be contained, as do their entire team and I am confident that the boys will give a much better game for the fans than they did away at Bologna. All the best.... NON MOLLARE MAI!!!! FORZA LAZIO!!!!!!!! | |

| This will be a tough match, it goes without saying. Its also a real rivalry match. Those whoa re Italian or have some Italian heritage will understand the proximity, geography-wise of Roma and Napoli and there is some history between Lazio and Napoli on the field and in the stands as well. It is a battle between the two cities of the centro-sud. In terms of this week, Napoli are still on a high considering their good form continues while ours was interrupted by the loss to Bologna. Rossi has to get the defensive selections precise this week, and IMO that means starting Radu. The lad is great as he offers solidarity and can contribute to the team when going forward. There are mixed opinions in terms of what our best central combination is, and up til this week I thought it was Cribari-Siviglia. After Sebastiano's efforts on Sunday though, I'd replace him, which then leaves the problem of Cribari and Rozehnal being similar types of CB. We need someone with pace to combat Lavezzi, and unfortunately its the one type of defender we lack. Napoli play a more open style of game, and from what we've seen this season that suits us. We struggle badly against physical teams that batter us, defend hard and fight for the points. Napoli can be tough too as we saw against Roma merda in week 1, but they will come to the Olimpico to play, and the likes of Zarate and Pandev will get more space. A win is a must though, its at home, against a fellow CL place contender and we need to get that confidence back because as a team, we struggle when we're running low. Someone said to throw Muslera in, I have some faith in Nando unlike many laziali but we all know he suffers from a lack of confidence in high pressure games. This is close to the highest pressure one can play in, and it would be very dangerous to play him. I dont like how Rossi is criticised when we lose, yet when we win he's hailed as a hero. I dont like some of the things he does either but the guy has us in an excellent position. Give him a chance to make up for last sunday. FORZA LAZIO!! CHI NON SALTA E' UN NAPOLETANO!!!!! | |

| it's gonna be a tough one, but that was also against Fiorentina, and that was our best game so far
think that this Lazio always plays on the level of their opponents, against the top 6 we always get space to play and maybe get some results, instead playing the bottom teams, and the impossibility to tear down their defensive walls | |

We need a fast and smart wall against Lavezzi and Hamsick. I agree, Hamsick is to sick now a days, we need to stop hime. Lavezzi is a fast player and Siviglia is a little bit slow so he can't jump on players like hi did against Bologna. If Rozenhal,De Silvestri and Radu has a good day they can stop them whitout any problemos and of course if Carrizo do his thing. Non Mollare Mai Ragazzi. | |

| Lazio's Rocchi horror show Thursday 23 October, 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lazio striking star Tommaso Rocchi suffered another injury set-back in training and faces a nervous wait for a diagnosis.
Rocchi missed the start of the season after he broke his foot while representing Italy in the Olympic Game.
The Venetian hitman managed to fully recover in time for Week 7's game against Bologna and marked the occasion with a goal.
But now Rocchi has a new injury worry after he fell to the ground in pain during today's training game against Aprilia and limped back to the dressing room.
Initial reports suggested that the problem could be serious and may rule him out of action for a month.
The news will be a blow to Coach Delio Rossi, who was believed to be planning a trident attack using Mauro Zarate and Goran Pandev against Napoli. | |

can't really blame rossi for this... siviglia is our best defender so far... except for the bologna game, but i agree we must find his replacement in Radu, Diakite or Tuia immediately.. and Rossi has to be brave to take a risk.. | |

| Siviglia must play in this game, his experience should give a hard time to Lavezzi. I'm more concered of these mid week matches, where our players are getting injured for a meaningless match. We lost Rocchi and Meghni in a stupid match. | |

Yes, his experience, but if he is 30 years old, no 36!!! And he never been good defender when he was younger, so now when he have 36, its ridiculous saying that he must play. I would always want to see Diakite playing and making mistakes rather than Siviglia... | |

| As my fellow countryman Danish_Laziofan already pointed out, I also see a certain desperation here. Tuia, Diakitè ?? Please guys, calm down a bit and stay real for a moment.
In any case, let´s not overestimate Napoli either. They are a good side, but not better than we are. They have two world class players in Hamsik and Lavezzi and further two very decent players in Christian Maggio and the great talent Santacroce, but apart from that, their side is pretty average.
I am a bit concerned how to approach Lavezzi´s speed with our slow defense. Perhaps it would be a good idea to play Radu in the center, if Kolarov is ready. However, it seems that Radu could be forced to play on the left, since both Kolarov and Lichtsteiner are in doubt for the game.
I think the key is to overcome the terrible display in Bologna mentally and approach this game with the same hunger as in the beginning of the season. I am hoping for a reaction from the team, like we saw when we had lost badly to Milan | |
