Coppa Italia: LAZIO-TORINO Thursday, 22-01-09

If we intend to let Makinwa go, which to me seems as the only option regarding him, he should deffo not play tomorrow...

We need to take the Coppa seriously...maybe not sacrificing everything we have on it, but there are a few positive things to win in this competition as well...

So far, Inter 1 Merda 0. Cant deny I would love to see us facing the scums in a potential final. But always happy with a merda loss...

Back to us, since Makinwa went to Chievo I hope we will start with atleast 2 of the za-pa-ro combo. Pandev should rest, so I stick to my opinion Zarate and Rocchi should play. Maybe even Simone will get a chance, who knows, as long as whoever plays gives his maximum.

Really hoping for a working stream, I love coppa matches.

Yepp, makinwa is gone...I would play Rocchi, and team him up with Maurito...I am actually pretty excited about this game, more excited than usual for a coppa game. Guess we all just love watching the team...

I agree laziale. Mendicino played some game in pre-season and what I can remeber he did good.
But I don't get surprised if Makinwas start, many teams want him and if he do good they maybe he could get better chance's to leave.

Hopefully Makinwa will be gone to Chievo by tonight, I don't see why we should play him even if he isn't. He is very unlikely to have a half-decent game and will massively hamper our chances. Rocchi needs to play, as previously said, to gain his sharpness again and of course we'd all love to see Mendicino (or even Kozak?) get a run out. We must treat this game seriously and not leave too may regular players out though.

Let's close the game early then play whoever later in the game, Torino's team isn't to be underestimated, I'd also like the young boys to get playing time but not when there's so much to gain.

As some of you mentioned, Torino played pretty well against Rioma and probably should have won. Like us, they want the Coppa pretty bad. Some how, they ended up in this position (playing us) and I doubt they'll just let us walk all over them. Big game since it's at Olimpico. I read some reports that Rossi really wants to win the Coppa, so I hope he puts the best possible team on the pitch. Not really the perfect time to experiment. Plus, we have a history of playing like rubbish against rubbish teams, so I hope we come out and just win this game in the first half.

Regardless, we SHOULD and BETTER beat Torino!!!
