- It seems as if Malaga enjoyed doing business with Lotito, despite him being "rude" enough to use Eliseu's buy out. They are showing interest in three of our non-wanted players: Makinwa, Baronio and Firmani (I want the latter, but he has been having a hard time in alzio earning his spot...).
Maybe that was the deal? we get Eliseu cheap, and they can step in and get som of our players even cheaper...
Napoli really want to sign Pandev and they are doing whatever they can to agree terms with Lazio and with Pandev himself. I still wonder why Goran would want to go there, but at this point we need to get as much out of the deal as possible and the suggestions that Napoli has made is the best one for us. His agent is still claiming that Juve is inetrested though.
There is quite a bit of talk about Moretti joining us, even though Tare has said that no contact has been made and that we have no interest.
Acqua should have been signed already, but just as many others already pointed out we first need to sell Pandev to go for him... Thanks for keeping us uptodate man :) | |

it says nobody wants him.how ironic.we wanted him long time ago and he went to monaco...I think he would be usefull | |

| As good as it sounds that all these players are mentioned to have interest in Lazio and that they would like to come and play here there is little to suggest that we will get rid of the unused and unnecessary players any time soon. What the hell are we going to do with all of them? We should put a bench on Olimpico streching under the Monte Mario tribuna from the sud to the Nord. And still there will be no shoulder room, just like in a bus. | |

- Valencia Defender Emiliano Moretti Wants To Join Lazio - Agent
The Italian full-back has been told that he can leave the club for €4 million, according to the player's agent...
Valencia full-back Emiliano Moretti looks set to leave the club imminently after the player's agent admitted that negotiations were at an advanced stage with Serie A side Lazio.
The 28-year old Moretti joined los Che in 2004 when Claudio Ranieri became head coach and after a successful season long loan at Bologna. The left-sided defender made over 100 Primera Division appearances in Spain, and started 25 matches under Unai Emery this season, helping the club to a sixth place finish.
Moretti’s agent Federico Pastorello confirmed that the Rome-born player has been contacted by Lazio, and he told Italian radio station Incontro, “Lazio are looking at whether [Emiliano] Moretti meets the needs of the team.”
“It is the player’s desire to return to Italy after five years at Valencia, and there are another three of four choices of teams for him.”
Pastorello also confirmed that Valencia had rejected a bid from Genoa, thought to be in the region of €7 million, at the beginning of last season, but now with the dire financial situation that the club are facing, they may be forced to accept an offer of €4m.
Valencia have still not managed to sell the ground where their current stadium the Mestalla stands, and work on their new arena has stalled as the cash flow problems continue to accumulate. Moretti wants Lazio, Valencia want only 4 M for him, Lazio need a good defender ... what is Lotito waiting for ? | |

| I believe Moretti's agent when he says Lazio are evaluating the necessity of the deal.
Kolarov is a regular left back now so for me, if it happens, it can only mean one of two things:
1. Radu and Zauri will be sold 2. Radu will move to CB and Zauri will be sold.
In any case, I think Moretti (if he arrives) replaces Zauri and changes Radu's role. As others have expressed, I don't see the point in chasing him if this is not the case.
Lotito has always had this apparent policy to sign laziali where possible. After the Di Canio saga, that was brought into question but you only have to look at his past signings (Firmani, Dabo etc.). Now Moretti and Nedved are spoken about because both are available on the cheap. I don't know if Lotito feels he needs these guys positionally but he is certainly wanting them in the team.
Even keeping Tare at the club is a signal of this. I firmly believe the likes of Inzaghi could stay long after their playing careers.
I like the idea of having laziali here and I'm glad to see us chasing childhood fans of the club and ex-players but there is a limit and we shouldn't let a pursuit of lazialita detract from other objectives such as maybe signing Acquafresca. | |

| Moretti at Lazio could only be a good thing.
1. Kolarov could play higher up in a 4 - 4 - 2 lineup 2. Kolarov would be a backup to the much better defender Moretti in a 4 - 4 - 2 lineup. 3. Kolarov and Radu would both be used in deals to bring other players to Lazio with Moretti (1) and Zauri (2) taking care of the left fullback position (depending on what players we could get this might be the best option).
I mean just imagine this 11 next season:
------- Zarate --------- Aquafresca -------
Eliseau ----- Brochi --------------- Foggia
--------------------- Ledesma -------------
Moretti --- Zapata -- Rozenahl --- Stephan
---------------- Muslera --------------
Backup: Siv, Dia, DeSilvestri, Zauri, Daba, Nedved, Rocky etc. | |

| i agree that we need mauri,he have a terriblle seasson, but in central middle position(against torino and juve in copa)he was very good.Nedved-why not,if are not big money in he s deal-he could be useful(for a year or two,but very useful as a big footbal name whith some possition in a club after he finish carier as a player and join us like a sport director or something else.Whats abaout rochi-staying or also wants "some big club",it s wery hot summer for us,players wants to play for us,nedved wants to play,i m thinking our time is comming AGAIN | |

| Sell Kolarov and Radu? For me, that's unimaginable. They are two of the best young left backs in Europe and Kolarov is already a fan favourite and arguably becoming one of our best players. I actually think losing Kolarov would be as bad a situation as losing Ledesma and Pandev as we are now.
As for Eliseu, I have severe doubts about him. I have seen him play on quite a few occasions and he's coming from the technique based La Liga to the tacics based Serie A. He can't just use his pace, he needs to think too.
Many people thought Quaresma with his attributes was the perfect signing for Inter. That was a waste of 20 million euro. Eliseu could be a waste of 600,000 euro. Not as bad I'll admit but I don't want to see him start for us. If he is a starter initially next season, it means our squad has not improved. | |

100% agree. Loose them two? We would be taking severe steps backwards and we can't do that. | |

| Selling Kolarov would be insane. He holds a great future and he has developed more than any other player this season. I think with a few more seasons he can become one of Europe's best. He can shoot, run, attack and now he is learning how to defend properly. we need to keep him for seasons to come.
But we also need to get rid off players not wanted, and bring in new ones that hold more quality. I think Moretti has been eyed to make sure we are stepping up the competition and that each week we will have a more competetive side than the last season. Just imagine how Kolarov could develop with the likes of Moretti competing with him over a spot. We will play plenty of games and with a young squad you always need players to fill the positions...also, Moretti would make sure we dont need to look any further for wingers. We would have enough for the back line, and if we consider that Lichty and Kolarov actually can play in midfield as well, we have what we need there. In Eliseu I see a new Portuguese hero. Maybe not this season, but seasons to come. I think this is why a player like Nedved is wanted, he can also help fill the gaps in different posts (not meaning defence).
I am still waiting for something to happen in the central line though. Defenders and central midfielders are to us more important than anything now that Ledesma is leaving and we have seen such a poor central defence the last seasons.
But how much money is going to be spent this season? And who will buy all our not-wanted players??? | |
