Lazio Want Lyon's Ederson Too - Agent

The Brazilian player has caught the interest of the Biancocelesti, who will be challenging Inter for the signature of the midfielder.

Antonio Caliendo, agent of Olympique Lyon midfielder Ederson, has confirmed the rumours that Lazio are chasing the player and will be fighting for his signature with Inter.

In fact, the Biancocelesti have apparently been following the Brazilian player for the past two years and were already close to signing him in the past.

"[Lazio president] Lotito had tried to sign him up with goalkeeper [Hugo] Lloris at Nice two years ago, but then nothing happened," explained the agent to tuttosport.com.

"However, now, Lotito is back on the player who also interests Inter, but the addition of Lazio in this race is for real."

Lotito met Ederson two weeks ago and Lazio could obtain the necessary funds to sign him from the sale of midfielder Cristian Ledesma to Chelsea, for whom new coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his interest.

"Yes, I confirm," continued Caliendo. "Now there's another president apart from [Massimo] Moratti on Ederson: it's Lotito."

Now it all depends on when and if the Biancocelesti manage to sell Ledesma to Chelsea, otherwise they will not have enough money to make an official offer to Olympique Lyon - and in the meantime Inter could ramp up their interest in Ederson.

agree for kolarov,for radu-50-50 %,if we sign nedved i dont think that ellisue will be starter(matu-nedved-brochi(dabo),also we have meghni(who is also a great technical player),but if mallaga buy all our players(that i wrote in forum)he could be our best transfer

Sell Kolarov? No way. Same as for Radu.

I would love to see Moretti at Lazio and I agree it is great for competition which I am for - but if he costs 4 million like the report says, then I would rather see that money spent on acquiring a good, solid central defender rather than another left back where there are already Kolarov, Radu and Zauri. Can Moretti be transformed into a central defender? Also Radu should be tested there during the preseason by Ballardini.

If Lotito signs Nedved and Veron, and Matuzalem as well, then I would feel good about the central midfield position being covered (at least for a season or two) - especially if Ledesma leaves. A report on Goal says Cristian is being tracked by Chelsea (!?) as Ancellotti is a big admirer.

Whats happening with Eliseu? Transfer blocked?

As for selling all our deadwood.... there is always loaning them out every season until their contract expires but that doesn't seem like a great option and Lazio will not get any profit for that. Either sell them off to newly promoted clubs or to Serie B clubs. A better option is when Lotito strikes a deal with another player, offer that club a Baronio or Makinwa for free - a sign of goodwill and friendship, which may benefit Lazio in future dealings with that club.

This guy is a very good footballer and I remember Lotito wanted him when he was at Nice but nothing materialised and Lyon brought him. He has played well there. Inter are after him as well and I read Aulas wants around 20 million for him which I think is a bit too much and especially because he has no Italian experience. But if Ledesma is sold, and Lotito gets 15 or so million, adds a bit more, or some player in the deal, then he could persuade Aulas to sell.

The only problem is these players have nice contracts here and have always been reluctant to leave for lower wages....see Inzaghi, Baronio for more info.

Just out of curiousity, when do their contracts expire? And how was Baronio's Brescia adventure.... don't they want to buy him outright from us - Makinwa at Chievo, Scaloni at Mallorca, etc.?

Baronio was one of the better midfielders in all of Serie B and Brescia is his hometown side. Not sure what's gonna happen now that they missed promotion. He might want to try his luck under Ballardini, especially with Ledesma on the way out, he could see this as his chance to try and make himself the no.1 regista at Lazio.

I wouldn't even consider selling Kolarov for less than 12 million euro. In other words, ridiculous money. IMO, Radu will move to CB and Moretti will sign as a more defensively minded left back.

The lack of CBs being linked with us though is worrying. OK, if we get Canini, that's a great start, but what happened to the Lugano rumour?? He's a free agent, Lotito needs to move.

Lugano would be an excellent transfer. Not sure why we have not moved for him.

I don't think Lotito will let Kolarov go for a 35 years old man.

This time of year all sorts of crazy rumours are flying around. Kolarov is one of those players that is important to keep. He really stepped his game up this season and I expect more of the same next season.

My guess is that Pandev and his agent are starting to realise that none of the major teams in europe are going to make a decent bid for him, and that at the moment Lazio may seem like a good option. At the same time I do hope we are able to sell him, if he really does'nt want to stay with the club then it's better to sell him and use that money for new players with good motivation.

Interesting development in the Pandev story. Wonder how he will be treated, and what motivation he will have, if he stays. Also, I still find i very strange if he would leave Lazio to join Napoli...

Ha ha, Pandev.....that's why you should never open your mouth until you know for definate how things will work out. He will look like a fool if he stays now and the tifosi will have lost all faith in him.

If Pandev remains, without prolonging his contract, he shouldnt be allowed to play. Screw that, he shouldnt even be given free entrance to lo Stadio.
Berg going to Ajax was always the most likely move for him. Some seasons there, and his price will be doubbled, and he would move on...
I am still hoping for Acqua to join, as long as it doesnt result in Lollo leaving in exchange...

Exactly...I love Pandev...But being around for so long with us, and we have played CL football with him in the team...So if he was a real Laziale he would appreciate that we are trying to build a Lazio that can improve and go the top level..Signing Zarate is a signal that we are trying to build a team of great young prospects..

They have to sell him now or he will be booed from kick off to end whistle every game..

Zarate and Acquafresca! what a partnership! would be probably the best young partnership in italy..great talent there..

Sell the guy and go for Acquafresca..its a no brainer...why would Acqua want to go to Atalanta or Parma????? Doesn't make sense...Lazio have european football..

As much as I love Pandev I am getting a bit annoyed with this whole saga of his. I don't want him to stay for several reasons, now that he said he wants to leave and that he will not prolong his contract. Get Napoli to pull forward to 10 million and Pazienza, and sell Goran to them. Simple as that - although I don't know how thrilled Pandev would be in moving to Napoli. This is really holding up other negotiations IMO and especially with Acquafresca and as a result we will probably lose him and he will sign with Atalanta or Parma.

In other news..... Lazio are interested in Argentinian central defender, Leandro Fernandez, who currently plays for Dynamo Moscow. He is 26 years old, fast, solid and a good tackler (says the report), and is on the verge of breaking into his NT. Used to play for Newell's OB and River Plate before moving to Russia in 2006. Dynamo want 7-8 million Euros for him. Liverpool are also interested however.

Also read Genoa will let Rubinho go this mercato for free, so are on the look out for a GK. For me, Carrizo springs to mind straight away. Why not see if they would be interested in a season long loan deal - Carrizo for Acquafresca?
