From a personal point of view, im a huge fan of Tranquillo Barnetta, and he has spoke saying that he is unaware that Voller met Lotito, but is aware of interest from us, and it makes him proud. He loves Serie-A, Rome, and has spoken to Litchtsteiner about Lazio and the Derby. But worryingly there has been no other word with regards to Barnetta in the last week or so besides this, would love us to sign him.

Elisiu is apparentley a done deal, now our attention will turn to Ever Banega, with a loan offer with option to purchase, similar to the Zarate deal. All i can say is WOW, this would be a dream, this lad has amazing potential.

Acquafresca is practically an Atalanta player, dissapointing, but will be interesting to see who we pursue now with he and Berg almost certain to join other clubs. As long as Pandev doesnt remain and completley tarnish his reputation with us, by leaving for free a year later.

Emeliano Moretti is almost a Genoa player too.

Lazio have signed Malaga and Portugal winger Eliseu, who will undergo a medical at Formello, the club's training ground, tomorrow, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

A formal announcement making the transfer official will be made on Friday.

Eliseu had a buyout clause in his contract with Malaga worth £510,000, which Lazio appear to have exercised.

Reports suggest the Biancocelesti beat off competition from Siena and Real Betis for Eliseu.

Real Betis, who were relegated from La Liga last season, are said to have offered £100,000 more than Lazio.

At one point the deal didn't look like it would go through, as the two parties couldn't agree personal terms.

Eliseu apparently demanded a five-year contract worth £850,000 a season while Lazio only offered him £680,000.

They ultimately decided to meet in the middle and Eliseu will earn something in the region of £730,000 a year.

Okay im loosing patience with Pandev big time now....

His agent just sayed there is no suitable offers on the table and it will be difficult to find one but that he would be open to another year at Lazio but no renewal will be possible! F*ck Sake! get him out!

I am really, really, really disappointed that Acquafresca won't be joining us and that Lotito made no effort in signing him.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli are also in for Ledesma.

As much as I would love to have Acqua, I understand that lotito hasnt been going nuts about getting him. At this point, I thing Ledesma and Pandev (Pandev more than Ledesma) are becoming major issues for us. Without finding teams that pay for these two players, we will not be abe to purchase any new players on these two positions. We need the money that would come through transfers, we need to get rid off two wage earners, and we need to get two players that dont really want to stay out. They occupy two of the most important positions in the team, and we need to get these two out before we can find new players for their positions.

I would choose to bring in new players even if they cannot find suitable clubs, and put Ledesma and Pandev in the stands, letting them rot for a season, but their wages are to high (and their footballing quality too) for Ballardini to simply ignore that they are a part of the team.

What I am trying to say is that before Pandev and Ledesma are sold, we should see these two players as "blocking" parts of our mercato, and that lotito is hindered to fully push for players that are mentioned as being linked to us...

Also, we have an extremely large squad and we HAVE TO get some of these out...

So the mercato starts on July 1st right?

And lasts until mid August or?

So what's the rush? It's not like every good player will be sold/bought in the first 3 days. Lotito plays the waiting game, if 1% of those rumors regarding clubs interested in Pandev and Ledesma are true then we will have no problem whatsoever on selling both of them for a good price.

Real shame, as he had a very good season and is only likely to get better.

Well, 1st of July is when you can register the player officially, while the negotiations have no fixed dates, as long as all parties are open for discussion.

Of course we should wait and see, but a week or so in to july most clubs gather and start their pre-season camps, games and such and the ideal situation is that the coach has the material he intends to use as early as possible. There will always be players arriving a bit later, but the larger clubs (to whom we hope to sell Pandev) are usually pretty sure about what they want and they try to approach these players fairly early.

There are cases where this is not true, but since we hear no rumours about bigger clubs approaching Pandev, I think we need to be aware that he might not find a much larger club.

As I have said before, this might turn out to be yet another Lazio player going to West Ham (or similar). One thing is true though; his agent shouldnt have been so cocky all along...

Makinwa is close to signing with Malaga. Could become reality in a few days only, but I have no info on potential fee or so. As I have stated before, we need to get rid off these players asap to be able to maximize our mercato. We have gathered far too many unnecessary players in our squad.

Media reports that we are looking for a quality striker that will accept to not always be the first choice, and that striker could be Nicola Ventola.

At the same time, Marcus Berg has once again shown his desire to play for us, claiming Italy is his favourite country to play in, and that Lazio is his dream...
Now that Acqua seems gone, we should seriously consider Berg. He is such a great finisher. The thing is he would need some time to adapt to the Italian league, but he could become a great player, and I think he is ideal for a partnership with Zarate once they have fully adaoted to each other and the Italian league...

I know I am biased since Berg is Swedish and that seeing him sign for us would mean Lazio games on telly every week...

Finally, Carrizo and Zaragoza are moving closer. He claims there are interested teams in Serie A, but that he would prefer la Liga. As I heard it is a loan deal, with an option and we get Matuzalem a bit cheaper...

Is Marcus Berg somehow connected with Lazio or is it a usual rumour? I bet you will see all the Lazio games when he truly joins us :) but i rather think it

i will like to keep meghni,i now he had a lot of injuries,but that kind of technic and skills...,he play little but in some games was briliant,he can keep ball when everyone else escape from the ball

I like Meghni and still feel he can give a lot to Lazio but unfortunately injuries over the last 2 seasons have seen him get very little game time for us. When he is injury free he is a good, reliable option to have, and when he gets a few games in a row under his belt he is very good to have with his silky skills and terrific technique. Sadly though, I don't think he will really ever overcome his fitness and injury problems which is a huge shame as the guy has a lot of potential and talent waiting to explode. Personally I would like to keep Mourad on for this coming season and then reevaluate his role at Lazio and how he did. If he manages to stay healthy, then he is a real asset to any team.

If he is to be sold, I would prefer him to go to Celtic for the straight 4 million Euros. Nothing against St Etienne but I just don't see the point in getting a player like Gomis to partner Zarate up front. He didn't have a good season last season in Ligue 1 (although the season before was very impressive) and I don't think he would adapt to Serie A as well as Berg would (for example). If Meghni wants to go back to France that's another issue. Wasn't Lotito interested in Hazard of Lille? See if they want a swap plus cash deal with Mourad instead.

I wish we can sell some players. What is Lotito doing? Napoli gives 8-10 milion Euros + a player but Lotito want 15 milion £. Lotito got a really good deal when Gaby Mudingayi went to Bologna, but Lotito was just lucky. I don't say that Gaby is a bad player, he is a fighter but I diden't think that he was worth so much money.
We got a big problem like one said here, we can build and have 3 teams whit all the Lazioplayers in the first team. The players just are coming back all the time no matter what. Sell the b-players, beacuse we are playing in Europe next season. Tell me, wich team did go whit that kind of players to CL like Lazio did 2 years ago, players like Vignarioli and so on. Lotito is a big joke, and I don't understand what Igli Tare is doing whit hime, I thought he had some pure lazialita in hime, but I guess I was wrong. He is just doing the same by acting ignorant and ..beeing Lotito!

Haha, would be kind of strange to see Meghni at celtic (My other team), but im sure he could do well there.

i hope meghni stays with us , at least for another season to prove himself . ronaldo (brazil) had the same situation with meghni . he was a great player and skillful player , but unfortunately the injury came to him.. but when he played in madrid , his condition was 90% fit .. meghni is a good player.. also a good back up . i would rather let manfredini go.. i hope meghni stays , but if there's a good offer for him (around 5M) , i think we have think again.. but i'd like to see meghni with us next season
