| http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/07/20/1393697/cristian-ledesma-will-only-leave-lazio-for-a-big-club-agentLedesma has supposedly rejected four clubs to remain at Lazio with his agent stating he will only leave for a big club. Instead of nailing him to the bench, I'm hoping Lotito nails him to a seat in his office and thrashes out a suitable deal for both parties. Is this a good idea though? I am not sure what everyone else thinks but I reckon it will spur on Cristian. I think he's a real professional, maybe his agent brings him down from time to time but I think Ledesma, himself, handles everything nicely. | |

| Ledesma has been complaining and threatening with article 17 even before Noah built the ark. I'm not so sure that the clubs he rejected was better then Lazio, as the title said "I'll only leave Lazio for big club".
Great player, too hard to replace but I hate his attitude in the last few years. | |

| Rozehnal has said he will listen to any offers he will get, one apparently from a German club. No massive loss if he leaves. Cesar is looking to come back which I don't believe to be a good idea and proves Lotito's theory correct again that when players leave they go downhill and want to rejoin. We may be interested in Venegoor of Hesselink again. Seriously, this guy struggles to score in Scotland...how will he score in Serie A? Lugano and Garay being mentioned again as Lotito is stepping up his chase for a CB. | |

| Lotito has admitted that we will pursue defenders but no striker will be bought unless Pandev goes. If Goran leaves soon, I expect Cruz to come in but there's only so long we can wait.
The problem is, Garay is a fixture for Real judging by tonight and Lugano has said he is certain he will not join Lazio. | |

That is the million dollar question because in my opinion and in Lotito's opinion as well seemingly, it's all his agent's doing. But then the other question you have to ask is, who's responsible for their agent? Really is a tough one to answer. | |

| I agree with Caxi, its the agent. Lotito himself has said as much.
I honestly wonder if Lotito could convince Cristian to dump D'Ippolito. Could work out.
Lotito has rejected Livorno's swap offer of Pulzetti for Cribari. But I think its best for all parties if Rozehnal leaves. He'll get regular football in a decent side, and we get a decent fee.
Massive NO to Cesar. | |

| According to Tuttomercatoweb, negotiations have been confirmed between us and the adviser of Diego Lugano.
This would be superb.
Rozenhal, Cribari & Stentardo to depart.
Leaving us with Luagno, Radu, Siviglia & Diakite
Personally i would rather keep Stentardo and get rid of Siviglia (For age alone, Siviglia aint bad)
Not bad if you ask me.
Hope the Lugano move goes through.
A great coup for sure. | |

| It would be great if we can get Lugano, but I don´t think that we get him. Lugano said that he wants to play in an important European competition. We are playing in Europe League, but he means the Champions League. So I think that he´s going to a "bigger" club. If Lotito can bring him, than it would be a perfect transfer from Lotito. I´m hoping...but I don´t believe it... | |

| Apparentley Hamburg are close to signing Rozenhal, we will launch our bif for Lugano, if that fails, we are to turn to Lorenzo Stovini at 32 years of age, man is that uninspired. | |

| Lugano is one option, Bengtsson is another. I am not impressed by any of the two. Stovini is another name that has popped up today as a potential target.
Roz is set to leave, Hamburg (who officially signed Berg the other day) and Wolfsburg is the two clubs most frequently mentioned. | |

| Lazio are linked with Valeri Bojinov of Manchester City. He has been linked with Lazio 2-3 times over the last few seasons now.
Apart from the fact that I would love to see a fellow Bulgarian at the club I dearly love, I don't know how much Lazio really need him right now. He is a classy player and is still young. He has been very unfortunate at City (suffering 2 very serious injuries which have pretty much kept him out of action for the last 2 seasons - but in the few games he has played, he did quite well). He has Serie A experience and was unstoppable at Lecce. Had on and off moments at Fiorentina and Juventus but I would love to see Lotito and Ballardini give Valeri a chance. With Zarate and Foggia they could form a very lethal trio - but then again, he's not exactly the Cruz type target man Lazio really need. Also, Pandev would probably have to be sold off first. | |

I personally, would put him behind Diakite, Cribari and Stendardo. He is probably the most inconsistent CB we have, one game he is great, the other he misses all challenges and looses his players. Lugano with Criba and Dia' and Radu coming up looks very promising to me. | |

| Rozehnal has his ups and downs but unfortunately when he is not playing good, he is not useful at all. I like the guy and he really looks like he wants to stay at Lazio but I agree with Gio that Cribari and Stendardo are above him (in terms of consistency). Strangely though, for the Czech NT he is very solid and reliable (even during his Newcastle days). Unfortunately he hasn't been able to replicate that form into club level. | |

| The key for me is that we keep either Cribari or Stenardo (which we should now Roze looks set to depart) and buy another defender. If we can keep both Stenny and Cribs, I'm satisfied. | |

| Bojinov has been on my mind during the last few days, as he could be a real bargain consider the talent he has and the fact that he will be fairly cheap since he has been injured during more or less two complete seasons. However, before we move for any attacking player we need to settle the Pandev situation.
I am also a bit confused about why we would want to sell Roz, as he is our best central defender in my eyes. His positioning is a bit off at times, but having seen him play in other teams (NT and clubs) I would say that it is mainly a question of him not having the proper partner to accompany himn in the middle. Economically I can see why we would sell him, as he is the one central defender that we could get most cash out of in a deal. As I have stated before, I think that we should target a partner to Roz in the middle of our defence, but maybe Ballardini has other plans than to play Roz as a starter - and if this is the case I am satisfied if we would sell him and bring in someone that would be a leader in the defence and make sure that we step up a level or two this coming season. So far, I think Ballardini is contemplating Siviglia as central starter, with Dia/Radu/Crib/Stendardo as the challengers for the other spot. If we are to bring an addition (and let go of players that want away or that have been linked with other clubs ) this player would be the one to step in and take Siviglia's spot. | |

Neither of them have underlined their wish to leave this summer (as was the case during last summer for Stendardo, and the latter part of last season for Crib), and maybe they are both to stay? I think we need to bring a new defender in, someone that is better and more consistent than all the ones we have, and if this is done at least one of the two will have to part. In any case, it fells as if we will have too many defenders, and all of them on a fairly equal level making it a hard time for Ballardini to decide on a pair that should be considered our regulars. We need to have a plan for the central line. As it is now, we have no solid central defenders to rely on for a complete season, a Ledesma that is not yet sure where he will play next year (and no real replacement for him in the squad) and Pandev that wants to go but cant find a proper addres. This is very scary in my eyes, as the defence has been the major reason to our inconsistent results the last few seasons, Ledesma has been the brain and heart in the midfield, and Pandev has been a regular starter and an attacker that can have a great game against any opposition (a bit too often bad games as well). This needs to be sorted out asap, as the season starts very soon and we mustnt end up in having a start of the season that isnt as good as it could be. This could be disastrous for our season... | |

| Lazio offered Bojinov Wednesday 22 July, 2009
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manchester City have offered Lazio former Lecce, Fiorentina and Juventus striker Valeri Bojinov, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The 23-year-old Bulgaria international has seen his career go into freefall since moving to England, primarily because of serious injuries.
Having made just 11 appearances since 2007, 'Boj' is now surplus to requirements especially in light of City's recent spending spree, which has seen Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez join the club.
Lazio's interest will depend on the future of Goran Pandev, who has been seeking a move away from the club all summer.
A space in the team's attack will only open up for Bojinov if Pandev does in fact leave the Biancocelesti between now and the start of the season. | |
