Also, we had some luck but with a new coach, still positional changes to be made...Ledesma and Pandev sitting on the sidelines...Shows that sometimes you don't just have to have star players but players that want to play for our beautiful shirt..

Great to see Rocchi in lethal form..what a goal...even without Zarate doing much..Its a great result against an inter team who are really at full strength..with a lethal strikers like Eto'o and Milito and very good defender Lucio, and good midfielder Motta added to their ranks..Meanwhile we haven't changed a thing with our squad yet...

Also praise Muslera...Young keeper that got burnt vs Milan in his debut...challenged JPC for the no.1 GK spot and has one it hands down...

Brilliant result today! Deservedly so. Great goal from Rocchi, he really needed that to kick start his campaign.

The posistives were Muslera (amazing) Matuzalem looks like he will be a real leader in the middle, Diakite is solid at the back and Mauri and Baronio look like they have a part to play. The biggest positive would be that we bet Inter without a proper first team.

The negatives would be Siviglia, he kept missing clearances and the team inability to consistantly clear crosses. (Lucio had 3 clear headers) Apart from those it was a really good performance, very well organised and credit to Ballardini!

Bravo Ragazzi.

Ok it was certainly not pretty to watch but what a result

Muslera was magnificent again tonight. I have to admit that I did not think he was good enough to be our goalkeeper but after his performances in the Coppa Italia last season and again tonight I accept I was wrong. I thought the midfield did well in very difficult circumstances but what a goal from The Captain! It was fit to win any cup final.

I hope the coach and team take great heart from this victory. They showed again that when they are motivated and have something to aim for this team can compete with the best of them. Lazio played tonight with a lot of character and determination and did well to stick to the coach's game plan even when under enormous pressure. Lets build on this for the new season.

And remember folks, in Italy you can win just three trophies. Lazio now have two of them

my view of the game from 1 to 10:
Muslera - 7,5 (many great saves)
Lichtsteiner - 6 (good but nothing special)
Diakite - 6,5 (he still need some better concentration, he was very good but he made one catastrophe mistake)
Siviglia - 5 (with esteem for what have he done for Lazio in this many past years i think that he deserves big bonus from Lazio and let him to go in other team in Serie B or team like Cagliari, Bologna..)
Kolarov - 7
Baronio - 5,5
Brocchi - 6
Mauri - 7,5 (great assistant for the Rocchi goal)
Matuzalem - 7,5 (for the goal the boll hit him instead the other way, but the brave get lucky) :p
Zarate - 7 (very agile but he was the target of Inter defence...there was big possibility to be hurt)
Rocchi - 7,5
Balardini - 8
Dabo - 4 (catastrophe mistake, he just enter fresh and i cant believe what he did - what he was thinking ?!? and after the game he ask Eto's shirt so maybe before the game he tell Eto if he give him his shirt he will let him score)
Cruz - 5
Cribari 5

well i think this is the first time i see Lazio playing with 5 defenders more than 15min...i must say we need just one more super center defender and one more super midfilder.
