| We play at home, Torino is 3rd from bottom in the league, how they managed to eliminate fiorentina I don't know and I don't care, I only care about us kicking their ass. | |

| This is a VERY big and important match for Lazio and with home advantage against a team struggling in Serie A it should be in Lazio's favour, but Torino do have a good side and talented individuals so hopefully the team gets it all together and gives a good performance with hopefully a pass through to the next round! AVANTI LAZIO!!!! | |

| Ok so if we play on the same level we did against Juve this should pose no problem. Tight in the defense, wide and fast in the offensive play, leave them no chance to play whatsoever. They are in all sorts of problems, they almost held merda at home but conceded in OT so I guess their morale will be low especially since they are coming to Rome.
1 game, 90 minutes and I sincerely hope for nothing less than a convincing win. | |

| Saw Torino play Merda yesterday, and I was impressed at times. Good squad, won't be easy and we'll have to be concentrated. We have the quality though,
FORZA LAZIO! |

| What team will be fielded? The strongest possible or muslera, kolarov and so on? Guess we will have to wait a few days to get an idea on that, but i hope Rossi takes this game seriously... | |

| That is a good point Cash but I do think that Rossi will treat this game and the Coppa seriously from now on. He should field the strongest team possible and with about 4 days rest until the next game against Cagliari, also at home, in Serie A, I don't see why he should experiment and put out a second team. Sure put in some players who in recent weeks have not played so much (like Foggia and Brocchi) but in general I really hope Rossi retains the main structure of the team. This tournament is important for Lazio as it is another way into Europe for next season so I hope whoever starts against the Granata is fully pumped and ready to go for a win!
FORZA LAZIO!!!! | |

| Think we'll see a semi-strong squad but not the full first 11
maybe:
----------------Muslera De Silvestri---Diakite'---Cribari----Kolarov ---------Brocchi-----Ledesma---Firmani?? -------------------Foggia --------------Zarate/Pandev/Rocchi
Pretty sure Muslera is keeper for the whole Coppa. He has improved a lot and deserves it.
if Fabio Firmani is fit again (I think he is?) then Delio should IMO look to start bringing him back, he might do the same with Siviglia. If not, then Mauri and Cribari will probably play.
Foggia should get a start and one of the Za-Pa-Ro to get dropped. Maybe Zarate for his attitude, or Pandev because he was quiet on the weekend. Getting gametime into Rocchi's legs is important after he missed all that football. | |

| Foggia, Pandev, Zarate must play to we see if that formation is better than Za-Pa-Ro.
Ledesma will surely start and I hope Cribari does too. We need Cribari back in the side. | |

| I'm not in favor of dropping too many 1st string players. Sure a few could use a rest, namely Lichtsteiner to recover from a blow to the nose, give Kolarov a chance instead of Radu, field Cribari instead of Rozehnal/Diakite.
Upfront I would rest Pandev, as this is a good chance for Zarate and Rocchi to get back on the scoresheet, Zarate last scored against Udinese and Rocchi against Palermo. If Foggia really is injured, although how he got injured I don't know, we should play a 4-4-2 with perhaps Brocchi on the right?
There are a lot of question marks around this game, but a couple of things are for certain: 1. The Coppa is really important this year. 2. Torino suck ass and in a one game KO at Olimpico there can be no excuses. 3. We have more than 30 players in the roster so the fittest should play. 4. The next league game is against Cagliari at home and the first-leg result suggests we do not have to hold back mid-week fearing the weekend match-up.
I'm not trying to underestimate our opponents or overestimate us but bloody hell if we can't extend our good streak onto these two games at our home against realistically inferior sides. | |

| seems we'll be lining up with this forward line
-----Zarate-------Del Nero -----------Makinwa
I can't see the logic in playing Makinwa. The guy is on his way out so this suggests that mayve getting rid of him isn't so likely. Maybe Delio feels the need to try and see how the tridente goes with a true target-man.
Del Nero deserves gametime, he was good last year before his injury and wasn't too bad against Udinese, just wasn't even close to fit enough to play. Ease him back into things and we could have a handy player on our books.
Foggia, Pandev and Meghni all have slight injuries and won't be risked. | |

| Like the Dandy Worhols song. Always though this would be a good pre-match song. Saw it as an intro for Lazio - Inter on a tv programme in 98. Was quite good. Right Here, Right Now - Fat Boy Slim http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R795KiMD4zs | |

I used to love it when Leeds United used to play the song before the match started and in half time. | |

and midfield seems to be Brocchi, Dabo and Mauri defenders: LDS, Siviglia, Crib and Kolarov...goalie Muslera... only two players from the juve-game...hope we have depth enough to overcome torino with that. At least the players should be motivated enough... | |
