| There is worng info Ali, Muslera debut game was against Empoli in 0-0 game, and if I am not mistaken the Cagliari game ended 3-1 for Lazio was his 3rd game with Lazio. | |

| Muslera: I Want The Scudetto Lazio's young Uruguayan goalkeeper Fernando Muslera is in a confident mood ahead of the new Serie A season * »Comments (2) * Print This Story * Send To A Friend * Contact Us Muslera: I Want The Scudetto galleria zoom * * * Fernando Muslera is fresh off the back of his first Serie A season, but he already has his sights set on the new campaign, which is set to begin in just under a month. The 22-year-old seems to have found his feet in the Italian capital, and is feeling even more at home following the transfer of his compatriot Juan Pablo Carrizo to the biancocelesti. Carrizo and Muslera have the number 1 jersey in common, but at Lazio only one of them will be first choice. Despite this Muslera stated, “Thanks to Carrizo's arrival many things have improved, but there will be no rivalry between us.” Looking towards the season ahead for Lazio Muslera's objectives are clear. “I want to win the Scudetto, I hope that I can do that with the Lazio shirt.” Perhaps slightly less ambitiously Muslera added, “We (Lazio) can reach fourth place this year.” Scudetto objectives aside, an interesting battle awaits these two Uruguayan youngsters to see who Lazio's last line of defence will be. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=804534---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did i mention that he sometimes tends to close his eyes when the shot comes in Dont believe me ?? watch laziovs milan match last season | |

| I was bitterly disappointed by his Serie A appearences last season but now he seems a lot more confident and I think he deserves another chance! Maybe on the early stages of Coppa Italia, as we all are anxious to see Carrizo in action in Serie A! Forza Muslera! Forza Lazio! And this time next year we will be in Europe! | |

| Muslera is very young but as long as he remains with us I think he can be transformed into a really good goalkeeper in time. | |

yeah!last year wasnt really fair to him being thrown in as a quite unexperienced youngster into Serie A just like that...we will see, but I think Carrizo being with us now will do him good...

| I have faith in Nestor and I think he can have a better season this time around. Last season was not a fair measure of his qualities I believe as he was brought in towards the end of the mercato hardly being able to adapt to the team, city, language, etc. and now that Juan is here, I think he will improve and show his real worth and strengths. I would like to see him feature more this season and in fairer conditions like in the Coppa Italia definitely and in some Serie A games too, would be great and can also only improve his confidence and show that Rossi has faith in him.
FORZA MUSLERA!!!! | |

For me he looks better than Carrizo and this morning gave no reason to lose his place.

| He convinced me yesterday against Doria.. To save the penalty and to secure a still chance in the match was briliant, and he also had some nice things in his area.. But I still think thatn Carriza should be considered as our first choice, because I think he simply has been in a slump.. |

I agree, we have no Peruzzi anymore who can do miracle saves and save us. We need a stable defense then any keeper will have it much easier.

Peruzzi made Siviglia and Cribari look like internationals but don't forget the influence that Massimo Oddo and Luciano Zauri had too. Overall, that defence was far better. Nonetheless, I prefer Muslera to Carrizo.

Nonetheless, I prefer Muslera to Carrizo. I'm not downplaying Peruzzi's effect but our defence was something else, Siviglia was much better 2 to 3 years ago, Cribari had better concentration and the defence was working as a unit, they all spoke Italian even our goalie,Peruzzi, Zauri and Oddo had been here for years, while Cribari and Siviglia had established a very good understanding between them, I remember Peruzzi used to get injured a lot and when Ballotta replaced him,he too managed to get a couple of clean sheets something we can't achieve even if we have Buffon as our goalie right now.
