Meh just another screwed up signing by Lotito.

Another Lotito mercato.

He does everything on a shoestring budget and essentially, he has pulled off 5 or so steals whereas he failed to land anybody but Cruz in the summer. Sometimes it works in his favour, sometimes it doesn't but I feel the additions suffice.

Same problem though; distinct lack of sales.

There were terrible mistakes that we didn't sell ledesma and bought two defenders....
We should have reinforced a midfield than a defense....
Radu, Stendardo, Diakite, Siviglia, Diaz & Biava?... There are too many defenders although Siviglia is not good.

Well I hope that Radu continues to play at CB. He has flourished there and has been our best player this season.

lets just wait until we see them on the pitch or bench hard to believe a site that doesnt even bother to spell the names right "Hitzisperger and Golsa"

i can say that im pleased with this mercato about the numbers of our defender , we have dias , biava , stendardo as a pure CB , balla can rotate these guys , and about diakite , we saw that he's also good at RB , so he can play both as a CB and also as licht back up , so does radu , he can play as a LB , and move kolarov to midfield.we have strong defense now the starter and the back up are class players (siviglia is not included)

So we've sold no one? and we've further increased our squad numbers?

If I could add anything to these signings it would be an offensive midfielder .. we lack creativity....

Another mercato, another joke from our useless president.

Now all we can do is pray, that we won't get relegated and that something good happens in the summer.

I'm actually quite pleased with the players brought in by Lotito this mercato. A mix of experience, youth, quality and talent. Very happy indeed.

For those of you critiquing the signings of Andre Dias and Biava I think you are being harsh. They aren't Nesta or Puyol but they are much better than some of you have made them out to be. I haven't seen much of Dias. All I've seen are highlights of the Brazilian league. Sao Paolo fans rate him very highly. From what I've read he's fairly fast, passionate and always gives it his all so if he does that for Lazio then I'll be very pleased. Biava was one of the reason's why Genoa did so well last season and got a European spot. He was solid and reliable. To be honest I haven't seen much of him this season though - apart from the Lanterna derby against Sampdoria where he received a red card straight away (very harsh decision). Both provide experience and leadership so I'm glad for that as that is what we badly need for the remainder of the season.

I only have 3 bitter feelings.

One is that Eguren won't play at all. A real shame. He would have added so much passion and determination to the team. I hope the Lazio medical staff can do something for Seba. Surely they can right? I mean he played perfectly fine at a top league for many years in Spain - and now all of a sudden he can't play in Italian football!!?? Seems a bit fishy and Lotito-esque to me. It must be unbelievably frustrating and heartbreaking for him - also given that the WC is looming and surely he would have featured in Uruguay's squad.

Second is the collapse of Ederson's deal. He badly wanted to join Lazio. But from what I read recently it wasn't up to him or Lazio - but rather Lyon and they wanted to use him to try and land another player from the French League so I guess Lotito can't be blamed for this.

Third was the inability to get rid of fringe players and Ledesma. Lotito and Tare did well to get rid of some but it isn't enough and now Lazio's roster will be near 40 I guess. 40. That is unbelievable. Lotito's stupidity in not letting go of Ledesma is ridiculous. I still can't believe it but knowing Lotito, it is possible.

The only thing I´m not happy with it, is the Ledesma case. He should have been sold, but I also like it when he´s training alone for the next month.

The rest of the mercato is good. That´s my opinion. 2 Defenders, 2 midfield, 1 striker.

I´m on danielganx side - Balla can rotate in the defense. Kolarov can also play in the midfield, but I prefer this formation (Diakite is fine as rightback and Lichti maybe leave in the summer:

Muslera

Diakite/Lichti - Biava/Dias - Radu - Kolarov

Brocchi - Hitzlsperger - Matuzalem

Golasa/Foggia

Zarate - Floccari/Rocchi


I have no problem with the ederson case. I think he´s overrated and Lazio made an offer, but Lyon refused it. On his position we have Golasa and Foggia. We don´t need a third player on this position. And Zarate could also play this position when Rocchi and Floccari play in front. So there´s no need to spend much money for ederson.

We sold no one, we sent out 4 players out on loans (Cribari, Perpetuini, Eliseu and Artipoli), and we "sold" Pandev incredibly cheaply you might say.

And here are the players we loaned last season...

Come summer we will have a squad of 50 players. Why stop there, in the begginings variations of football was played by entire villages one against the other. Maybe with a successfull summer mercato we can reach 60 and then challenge let's say the city of Berlin to a football match.

Villareal changed their coach. I hope their new coach would want Eguren for him and us.

The thought of having Ederson in our squad would have made the mercato...although i think we did quite well..

His highlights package looks impressive...he looks steady,quick, very skillful, goal scoring...

Good buy in my opinion..

There's nothing wrong about his transfer, we just upset for not getting Ederson, that's all..

I think most of us dream of high profile player such as Ederson, and we didn't get it..

Am reasonably satisfied with this mercato. Of course we still need to wait and see and judge the quality of the players ourselves but potentially we made some solid purchases and might have a nice surprise in the form of Golasa.

Satisfied? maybe, Adequate? Well not quite...

Yeah, It was one of our best mercatto's we've had for years and some people still aren't happy ??
Stop thinking that we are like Barcelona and can buy superstars and give a lot of money for new players. We aren't and we have to be more than happy that players like Hitzlsperger and Floccari came to our team!

I'm happy with the mercato.

Biava is a solid player with tons of Serie A experience, so that's always useful to have. In Hitz we have a former German international who's dying to prove himself and get back on the national team. I think his addition could end up being huge.

Plus we've already seen what Floccari can do for us, so there's no doubting the value of his move here.

And if Dias and Golasa turn into anything, it would be a bonus. If not, it didn't cost us much.

I want to see them in our jersey !
