Martinez would be a great addition to the squad. From the few games I have seen him play he has been terrific scoring a few goals and creating good chances for his teammates. It would pain me to see Foggia leave but if he is not in Reja's plans, and Catania is interested in him then I guess he'd be a good make weight, plus cash, for the deal. On TMW I read Lotito has offered the Sicilians 4 million euros plus Foggia. Seems reasonable IMO.

As for Kolarov, I think Drenthe and 8 million euros is silly. Not because I think Kolarov is that great but because I don't see why Drenthe is potentially valued at 10 million. He was very impressive at the U21 tournament in 2007 but since his move to Madrid he hasn't lived up to his potential. At Lazio I believe he can do that however. But if Lotito and Reja are able to identify a cheaper left winger, and make more out of Kolarov's sale, then I'm all for it.

Ibisevic would be beyond my expectations. That guy can do serious damage to defences but I don't see him coming to Lazio, and especially for 5 million. Maybe Lotito could offer them Hitzlsperger in some sort of player plus cash deal?

Lichtsteiner should not be sold, unless some ridiculously high offer comes in. This guy is the most committed player in the squad I believe, along with Firmani, Rocchi, Stendardo, Brocchi and Muslera. Never gives up, always gives 100%. He has developed well at Lazio and Serie A. It would be a big shame if Lotito decides to sell him.

Arnautovic? He was Twente's best player two seasons ago. From the few games I saw, he played very well. Can score with both feet and head, assists and creates a lot of opportunities from nothing, holds the ball well, and can play in several positions in attack and midfield. Don't know how he improved at Inter though.

If I were Lotito I would do the following..... sell Kolarov for as much as possible, and with that money buy Floccari from Genoa, and renew the contracts of Ledesma, Radu and Muslera. After that, evaluate where the squad is at and discuss with Reja what players are needed - namely a left winger and creative midfielder.

Too bad it won't happen like this..... and Lotito will do things illogically as usual

Domenico Criscito would be an ideal replacement for Kolarov. Rumors that he may be going back to Juve. With a big salary & good money to Genoa, i dont see why we couldn't make a play for him & still have change left over after the Kolorov transfer.

Criscito would be perfect, but I doubt he'd leave Genoa for Lazio, unless we make an offer they can't refuse (swap with Ledesma or even Zarate), it is possible but very unlikely..

As for Arnautovic or Ibisevic, I wouldn't want to sign either of them, they clearly reluctant to play for us, so why bother signing them?

Also, we are about to offer 6 mill for Boghossian. Interesting.

I have seen him on a few occasions (playing for Boca )and I gotta say I wasnt really impressed.He is a decent left sided midfielder/winger...Serie B talent at best.

basically it says that Almeyda would give anything to play for us one more time even for free, i know it won´t happen, but just imagine how great it would be, i think Almeyda at 36 years old could still be useful for us, even if just for one year.

I think he's still better than Baronios. I'd take him as a backup to Ledesma.

Hitz is a top player, if he signs he could be a far better player then Ledesma in some time...

I'd like to keep him, but not as a replacement for Ledesma. I think the two could play together. But I certainly wouldn't say that in-form Hitz would be better than Ledesma

I hear you, the main reason why I´d rather have Hitz is that he has a much higher workrate in my opinion. Thoughts?

I'm reading some article - looks like our president met with the agent of Joaquin Boghossian in Milano. His price is around 10-12m. But, final paragraph of that article: Lotito said last week that they could compete with anyone in the transfer market.
Lotito is using something stronger than weed.

Lotito won't give 9 mln for a player who showed he is good and is willing to give 10 for someone who hasn't played in Europe ?

wait wait.. Is this is how a Champions League team is built? Selling your best players like Kolarov, Lichtsteiner and Ledesma, and putting some unknown cheap blokes from Brasil into their place? I read about how Lotito is planning a midfield revolution next season. I imagine our midfield next season:

The best part was reading that Lotito thinks that Ledesma isn't an important player to the team. A player, who is so admired by the best manager in the world isn't important for Lazio. Yeah, right. And of course we all know that Mauri is untouchable. And yet Lotito says that we don't need to sell to buy and we are capable of competing with anyone in the transfer market..

For me the strangest thing is that we have money to buy players like Boghossian which actually aren't nescessary, unless Reja plans to root Zarate to the bench or use some kind of revolutionary tactics.

And yeah, I forgot to mention that Radu's and Muslera's contracts still aren't renewed. It's cool, isn't it? I'm sure we'll be in the Champions League next season.

Am I the only pessimistic man in this forum?

Cornholio,I would rather say realistic...Until lotidiot is here with his staff,our team will be fighting for survival!But I think we must sell Kolarov for the good of the team...

we suffer a lot in the last(two)mercatos with ledesma case,and now i cant understand reja,he claims that ledesma is necesary after he took us(back him in first eleven after after 8 months),now he is in some kind of strange silence.
reja start with great atittude but now he looks diferent for me(except ledesma his words about flocari that if we leave we will find replacment....).
real(mourino)wants some new players in the team,one of them is kolarov(20 m).
malaga is interesting for geting back ellisue.

We should get Floccari. He feels fine in our club, he scores.
Then, we have enough strikers. We don´t need more.
We also don´t need defenders. If we are keeping ours, we have enough. Lichti (if he stays), Dias, Biava, Diakite, Radu, maybe Kolarov are enough.
If Lichti and Kolarov are leaving, I would go for a left defender and would be playing Diakite as a right defender.

The only thing we really need, is a creative midfielder. It doesn´t depend on if Ledesma satays or leave. We need one maybe instead of him, but we also need one next to him.
This is the only thing we need - and Flocc. - nothing more.
