i wonder how much we have paid for him per minute of play. I remember when Loitito was talking about a Mr X that tourned out to be Meghni...and what a Mr X it has been!

I don't believe that players like Santa Cruz would go to us and I believe that Mauri again will be our main playmaker. Don't expect anything more with Lotito.
Pintos is a right back. He'd be the one replacing Lichti.
For Kolarov we'd have to find someone else. I have confidence in Radu, I think he'd do well as a left back, I am more concerned with CB and AM. We need to get the players asap, not waiting until last minute, but as you said, can't really expect anything from lotito, the guy put money/profit ahead of club

How official? I read its nearly done but not quite. As for Radu he must stay CB and not LB or left wing. This season was brilliant for him and he improved greatly because he played in the position which best suited him. I'm sure he was a CB at Dinamo as well. Question about Pintos..... if he signs does that mean Lichtsteiner is leaving? Or would he be a back up player? I really don't want to lose Stephen, and I haven't read anything suggesting he wants to leave either. And no Oddo please.

Lichti may or may not leave, who knows, but Scaloni almost certainly will. So either way we need at least one new right back.

| Yep saw its official just before.
Some Lazio rumours.....
- Bogliacino (30) will likely leave Napoli for either Lazio or Cagliari. He's decent but nothing special. Worked well with Reja however and if Mister believes he can get the best out of him then I'm happy to see him here.
- Interested in Comotto (32), a solid right back who could arrive from Fiorentina for 3-4 million euros but would be a big waste of money for an average player who will retire soon.
- The Antonelli (23) link continues which is great to see. He is pricey (around 6 million) but looks very promising and from what I've seen he can play on both sides as wing back.
- Rafael Toloi (19) of Goias in Brazil is a defender who Lotito seems to be very interested in. Around 3 million euros.
- Paletta (24) of Boca Juniors looks like a real target. I really like this guy. Thought he did well at Liverpool a few seasons ago. He is a big strong CB at 1.9m and would be a bargain at 4 or so million euro. Palermo also interested.
- Behrang Safari (25) is a left back currently at Basel. Considered a rising talent and at 2 million probably worth a gamble? Born in Iran, but now in the Swedish senior team with 14 appearances in 2 years. Have never seen him play.

| Behrang Safari for 2 mil? We should take it without further thoughts. The guy is a great LB and would replace Kolarov with style, we wouldnt miss the latter a second if this rumour became reality. Never thought he would be that cheap. A regular starter for Basel, has been decent in the European competitions and he is the first choice for his spot in the Swedish NT as well. | |

Sounds like a good player. I read it on TMW. Don't know how real it is.

Especially if Paletta signing for us is true (which it does seem to be).

Especially if Paletta signing for us is true (which it does seem to be). I agree. For Oddo, I'd like to know how interested in coaching he is. I think there's a great managerial character in him and although it would be a risk, if he was up for it, he'd be worth a punt as manager down the line. Still has the ability to be a back-up and that's acceptable if he has a view to carry on here.

| I'm happy to welcome Oddo back provided he accepts his place as a backup and takes a nice pay cut.
We do need another RB. Scaloni will probably leave and if Lichti also leaves or Pintos doesn't arrive, that opens up a space.
Also, seeing as Alvaro Gonzalez is in Italy to get his passport and sign for Lazio, does anyone know what type of midfielder he is??

The wing-back you are talking about, the one who is going to replace Lichty, is Pablo Pintos (San Lorenzo) and the guy who is in Italy now getting his passport is Alvaro Gonzalez (Nacional) and from what I've read he's a defensive midfielder and he would take Brocchi's place and could even possibly play as the regista (Ledesma's role).

| Why did we buy (if the news is true) Paletta ? We don't need more central defenders ... And if we sell both Kolarov and Lichtsteiner we can only hope that Lazio finishes in top 10 nex season | |

Nope, I'm fairly sure from what I've seen of him is that Alvaro Gonzalez is fairly right-sided; there was not much difference in how Brocchi and Lichtsteiner were deployed under Rossi. Gonzalez is for that sort of role. My only qualms is if he can play right-back; never seen him play there but heard he can. I know nothing about Pintos other than what I've read.

| Pablo Pintos is nicknamed "the new Maicon".
I believe that the plan is this: Pablo Pintos is coming for sure and for the new the season the team will have two left and two right wing-backs for Reja's 3-5-2.
The the two right wing-backs will be either Pintos and Lichty or Pintos and Oddo. If Lichty has a great World Cup and Lotito gets good money he will sell and then Oddo will come back so we will have a young inexperienced right back in Pintos and an older experienced one in Oddo.
