Sad to see Germany lose the way they did. I'm not saying they were impressive but they did deserve a draw I thought. Serbia got lucky and were diving every chance they got. The match was ruined by bad refereeing. Klose's first yellow was ridiculous but the second I agree was correct. The Spanish ref was giving out cards like there was no tomorrow. Even with 10 men Germany played better in the second half and should have equalised with Podolski's penalty (good save though). All Serbia did was defend even though they had a man advantage. But I remain confident that Germany will progress from that group. Hoping for a Ghana win tonight (nothing against Australia ).

Slovenia - USA could have gone either way. Slovenia shouldn't have had let their 2-0 lead slip but well done to the Americans for getting back into it after halftime. Still don't get why their 3rd goal was disallowed? The group will go down to the wire after Algeria and England drew.

I still have to remind you....Who was in a hurry for a goal....was it serbia or was it germany? And one man down doesent mean a certain loss.
Serbia was playing good and hit the post and the crossbar so i really dont care about those ego germans. They have to win the next game or they even dont deserve going trough.
As for England...no champions in my eyes...a bunch on lazy men running around.

I have put off posting about the game, actually, I won't even call it that because that implies some fun was had or at least that it was competetive. There has to come a time when someone realises that players like Gerrard and Lampard aren't the "World-class" saviours of a "Golden Generation" of English football, but a bunch of over-hyped, over-paid, one-dimensional club players without the respect for the national shirt and with a worrying lack of skill. I'm sick of people raving about their form for Liverpool or Chelsea or whatever, screw that, this is a World Cup, it's bigger than that and means something to a whole country - if you are so freaking concerned about playing the "big" matches in the Champions League etc, why the hell can't you make the effort for the biggest competition on the planet? We don't have a team, we have a bunch of clueless chokers.

Rooney was clearly not fit but his outburst was ridiculous and has probably lost him the support of those fans who went and paid money they could barely afford to be there to expect, at the very least, a team that played with pride and honour. He should think about that while he picks up his 100,000 a week.

Rooney wasn`t the only one,my missus pointed out that Lampard was seen saying Rsoles. For me it only confirms that half of the fans don`t really like football and just want to have something to cheer about and look down their noses at other nations.Seems like the last three or four tournaments England have been in it`s been all about winning it not improving and building towards winning.All said I feel really sorry for true England supporters there`s no doubt they have the players..... Rooney must have been unwell,only players who were any good were Cole Barry and I thought Lennon did ok.Thing is Capello didn`t change things only swapped player for player in same positions.
I disagree with the booing it`s not a club which you buy into and you can criticise the chairman for not spending. That is a squad of the best English players apart from the attacking players chosen.I still think they can draw or even beat Slovenia but they should take a lesson from the Germans who when they get beaten assess the problem and address it not turn on the players.

i m think that this WC if contunies in this style will be remembering as the WC with the most poorly games in WC history.

and ones again all world except the england coachs(capelo isnt only one)understood that gerard and lampard cant play together.

Quite a good game from New Zealand, gongrats to the boys and to Bobbi. Thats a team everyone should be proud of. Italy on the other hand made another awful game and as I expected they started their campaign badly and now will have to beat Slovakia in the third round (I'm sure it will happen). Why does Italy always has to go through by the hardest way ... Lippi showed that he su*ks as a coach (AGAIN!).
