Germany have progressed through the tournament with great counter-attacking football. If you let Spain play their possession game, create chances and don't close down the ball, you will lose and they did.
I will go insane if Holland won't win purely out of justice.

I think we can all learn a lesson from this World Cup: don't f*** with Paul the octopus, who successfully predicted Germany's entire campaign.
And sorry to all the Spanish fans but I really hope the Netherlands win the Cup. IMO on the basis of their history and this past month, they deserve it much more. We'll see though.
Sneijder has to win the Ballon D'Or now surely.

I never wonder about England or anything about their throughly stupid and useless national team. I do not care for them. I support Italy and only Italy. England national team proves nothing which in my previous post I only talked about Italy.
You want to know the reason why German teams failed to qualify for the semi-finals??? Take a look at their balances and than take a look at the balances of teams from Engalnd, Italy, Spain, Protugal,...and this is the reason why they went to clubs from there, because they would earn more money and because those clubs pay ridiculous transfer fees.
Anyway a very sad day today...Spain has won yesterday and it reminded me of the EM Final...no real chance at all. Eventhough, if Kroos just had not missed that one...argh! There was so much enthusiasm in Germany, but we have to be honest Spain simply was too good yesterday. Our young guns were too nervous and never were able to put some real pressure on the spanish goal. The only good thing is that this team has a great feature!

No, I do not want to know because I already know. I already said it because they are just not good enough for the semi-finals of the Champions League. England and Spain, yes I agree, the top teams in those leagues pay vastly inflated transfer fees and wages. Italy not so much. Portugal? You have got to be joking. The Portuguese clubs make very little revenue compared to German clubs. To the best of my knowledge the highest transfer fee Porto paid to for a player was for Fernando Belluschi for €7 million for example.
Maybe sad but under the circumstances the German team did very well I think. They comprehensively beat the over rated English and the throughly naive Argentinians. Honestly those matches in my opinion are the best of the tournament. I still have them recorded on the set top box so I can watch them again. The German team played very good football and made the best of the players at their disposal except maybe in the case of Jansen. He looked much better on the leftback position the Boateng offensively. The Spaniards played their best game yesterday. They are very good possesion team but they also got the defence to back it up. It was always going to be difficult to beat them and to keep defending against them for 90 minutes is extremely hard.
Maybe next World Cup it will be better but I think they will need to keep Joachim Lowe.

I know what you mean, but I am so happy when I think about what he has done both for Lazio and Uruguay lately. I still remember the match against Milan where he looked like a scared little boy and now he's a world class goal keeper.

World Class goalkeepers don't make the continual mistakes he has in big tournaments. Penalty saving enhances reputations but don't let it cloud the fact he has been poor.
He's on his way but it's a long path.

Today Muslera was really bad. Unconfiedent and the 2nd goal is really hes fault 10000000%. But yes hes young. Im really sad for Uruguay and i hope Forlan will be chosen as the best player in this cup. Its still painful to think that his final free-kick hit the crossbar....

Muslera didn't have the best of nights I agree, but at the age of 24 he is still improving and the way he is going I have no doubt he can become one of the worlds best goalkeepers in a few years time. This World Cup experience has surely helped his confidence and the more game time he gets at Lazio the better. Very proud of Nando!
A shame that Uruguay couldn't take the match into extra time. They deserved it. If only Forlan's free kick had gone in!

Muslera really had a bad night. I dont think that he will be chosen the best GK of the tournament, b'cuz he conceded some bad goals. Theyll probably chose Casillas over him.
Anyway, Forza Muslera!

In this WC Muslera showed that he has some problems with corner kicks and going out to punch the ball but I'm pretty sure he will learn how to do that better because he's still quite young for a keeper.

Casillas shouldn't get it for being an idiot against Switzerland. Muslera at fault for first goal but the second was a wicked ball in the box that the defense didn't handle. He had to come out for it and he just wasn't going to get there.
Goalkeeper of the tournament should be Enyeama. He has two man of the match awards and was absolutely superb. Player of the tournament is easily Sneijder or Villa, depending on who wins final.

Muslera made 3 solid games in the group stage, a good game vs South Korea, an excellent game in the quater final vs Ghana, and 2 poor games against Holland and Germany....still has a lot to learn...but he has also time, as many said he is still very young for a GK...
As for the man of the tournament, I would choose between Diego Forlan, Asamoah Gyan, Thomas Muller, Wesley Sneijder or David Villa (depending also on today's game)...
Deception of the tournament one between: Messi, Lampard, and the whole italian team...

Against all logic, all commentators and pundits in existence and most importantly, Paul the Octopus, I'm going for the Dutch.
I see a similar game to Spain - Switzerland and Holland - Brazil. Unless Spain lead at half time, I think they'll be done for. First 20-30 minutes of this one is crucial.

As much as I like the Spanish, they have, in my honest opinion, become joke winners of a joke World Cup.
- they lost against Switzerland. - they struggled by Honduras. - they got crazy ref decisions to help them beat Chile and progress. - same situation against Portugal. - and Paraguay. - one good display against Germans. - after wasting chance after chance and with ref's help, they beat Holland.
Four 1-0 victories, three of which were fortuitous is not a mark of Champions.
I'm saddened mostly by the fact that the media will praise the players as Gods. Great individuals of the game they are but they haven't played as a team or earned this World Cup for me.
Perhaps the most gutting thing of all is that no team actually deserved to pick up Jules Rimet.

Italy won also their 2006 title with poor games in groupstages and their play improved game by game......Im happy that Spain won. And is here somebody whos against that Casillas should win 10000000000000000000% the title for the best goalkeeper. Saldy Muslera has a long long long way to go.....final 3 games he has been average
THE END! :)

Not the most memorable WC and the media in the UK made it even more depressing than they usually do. really wanted the Dutch to win today but Spain are good winners
