Pandev Says Life Is Beautiful At Lazio

Lazio's Macedonian striker Goran Pandev insists that things at Lazio are better this year and that he's enjoying himself at the club...

The Biancocelesti have had a blistering start to the season, winning three of their four matches and only dropping points away at the San Siro against Milan. A major factor in the capital club's success so far has been the youth and quality in their squad, with Argentinian Mauro Zarate particularly standing out as a major player.

Lazio are the top scorers in Serie A, with Zarate on four goals and Goran Pandev on three after his goal in the 3-0 demolition of Fiorentina in midweek.

Pandev, who joined Lazio in 2004, has become a great success and firm fans' favourite since his arrival from rivals Inter Milan. The Macedonian star has settled in well with the Biancocelesti and his partnership with Tomasso Rocchi up front has produced the goods for the capital club. He is now developing a good understanding with new starlet Zarate as well and is finding his time at the club more enjoyable than ever.

“We enjoy ourselves and we fear no one,” said Pandev. “For me this is a beautiful period, but I must still work very hard, especially on my headers.

“Shortly Rocchi will return from injury. It is a great group of players and the new arrivals have integrated well.”

The striker concluded with a thought on the league standings, saying, “I’m not going to speak about the Scudetto, but I hope Roma stay behind us!”

Pandev already rejected a big money offer from Spurs to stay with us so he obviously values success at Lazio more than money

so we have a world class player, who works well with the team (best partnership with both Zarate and Rocchi) and he also loves the club?? We shouldn't sell him at any cost.

His been great for us even if Zarate get more atention. £9m isn't even an offer worth answering. He stays with us, he has a big heart for our club !

Una delle cause dei problemi di Klinsmann sono i gol di Luca Toni. Gol che mancano perchè l'attaccante italiano in questo periodo non sembra proprio riuscire a buttarla dentro.

Again Bayern is interested for Pandev. He is no#1 target for bavarians. Alternatives for Pandev are Pavel Pogrebnyak, Andrei Arshavin, Landon Donovan, Mario Gomez e Nikola Kalinic. Lottito should come with new contract for Pandev as soon as possible, and give him deserved money.

I also think that he's going to be sold in the summer, in fact I even hope it. I like Pandev very much and I would like to see him all his life at Lazio, but there comes once a moment that it is the best to sell him and that moment is this summer in my opinion. He's 25-26, a perfect age to go to a top club and we will get a lot of money for him. I hope Lotito plays it smart this time.

I disagree. Pandev is huge for us. He scores goals, he creates goals, he works well with Zarate, with Rocchi, put him with anyone and you get a great partnership.

If we sell him, we'll get plenty of money but we'll lose the greatest strength of our team. We have something successful and its too risky to sell it. We risk not being able to replace him. Plus he loves the club.

I dont want to be a feeder club, I want to be a club capable of challenging for Lo Scudetto. For that, we need to keep players like Pandev at all costs.

I completely see your point Goerlandt but I gotta go with c. testa on this one. Pandev is a gem, there are not tons of Pandevs out on the market. He's young and at least I think he as a unique style of play about him. I understand this season Lotito really brought some young talent, and it's possible he could do the same if Pandev was sold, but Goran is a proven player and I think Lazio should be more focused on trying to keep him.

well as a really really good player it doesn't surprise me if he wants to play in an ambitious club and achieve something in his career, I hope Lotito is ambitious enough for him.. I hope Lotito starting to increase more the limit of salary wages, especially for a star player like him, and bring more and more (future) star players like zarate and lichtsteiner to this club
