carrizo will be in the arg squad i think.. but zarate has too many good competitors.. he should keep on scoring and prove his worth.

JPC should remember that he is the successor for the great Angelo Peruzzi rather than Ballotta! In all honesty, Carrizo factor is not yet shown in all of our games esp he is the holding the pride of being the most expensive GK in South America history to move to Europe!!!! And above all we waited 1 yr for his services going through a misrable season.

I don't know where was our scouts eyes on the likes of Marchiti (Caligari), Bizzare (Catania), and Samir Handaovic (Udinese)! What drives me mad that the later played with us in some games during the 05-06 season!! i don't call what was the deal back then.

we actually had Samir Handanovič in 2006

I presume you mean Marchetti and yes, he is a class act from what I've seen.

JPC was always a risk in my book but he needs time. He is playing with a new defence each week and so mistakes are inevitable.

Once we solve this, we're sorted!

yeahh maybe that would happen also if we release carrizo to other team... now he's a little bit flop.. but two years later he possibly becomes 10 times better than right now (today handanovic maybe also 10 times better than when he was with us)... now i realize that we should be patient... rome wasn't built in a day..

Agree. With time, he'll be like Julio Cesar and Doni, a quality keeper. Hopefully more like Cesar LOL.

his lack of communication with his defense is the main reason for his low level of performance.

Some one please explain what fault has JPC for the loss ? The worse thing to do now is to bench him. The best - field him and show him the club is behind him and has faith in him. It will boost his confidence and will calm him down. Yes he dribbles in the penalty area and makes us nervous ... but how many balls has he lost? None! If we were winning 4:1 we would all laugh at the way he makes fun of the opponent's players, right?

Exactly what i think. JPC is not to blame, and if rossi is using him as a scapegoat then that is very cheap. All this can do is ruin his confidence.

Its not Carrizo fault,,

it's because lazio's defender not protecting him as well...look at Edwin van Der Sar,,what he doing at Ajax,Juventus & MU,,brilliant career,,huh?,,,,and what he can do at Fulham?nothing...
& Buffon,,what he can do if Cannavaro upfront him?amazing,,,& this year ,,he is protected by Mellberg & leggrotaglie,,he become weaker..

Peruzzi was a special goalkeeper,,he dont need super defenders ,,he's a natural born goalkeeper,,just like Casillas,,

i hope,,Rossi or Lotito buy some high profile defender,,& see,,how strong this guy

maybe Rossi thinks Carrizo is just not familiar enough for italian football as Muslera is. We have to admit Nestor is showing big improvement

I fully agree with you R_E. It's not that Carrizo is a bad keeper or that he can't cut it in serie A. He needs time to adapt and the club and the fans need to give him time. There is big expectation on his shoulders and many fans expected JP to start pulling miracle saves as soon as he arrived at the club. Let's not forget that the guy is only 24.

Muslera has been in Italy for only one year and there's a big improvement in his game. Just imagine how well Carrizo will do in one year or two years time.

Even if Muslera deserves a chance we really need to play Carrizo. Just need time to settle in, he is a very good GK.

now it seems like a dilemma, we need to play Carrizo so he can settle but Muslera is showing his value and it's not fair to bench him...

It's like last yeat - we knew Muslera had value but he didn't do quiet well, so we played grandpa :)

Muslera showed that he's really decisive! today he showed a huge improvement and was available all the time to defend the net.. it's a shame he conceded a goal in the dying minutes of the game due to lack of defenders' concentration..
as for Carrizo.. i think he should play in the coppa till he regains his self confidence.. however.. can we take the risk? ok.. now i'm confused! :)

unfortunately overrated , with his foolish dribbles past defenders.

You cant say hes overrated...when he playes for Lazio 2 seasons and is still unsure in the goal then its a different story

I have faith in Carrizo. I think he just needs time to adapt...

I feel really sorry for Carizzo, because I am sure that he is talented and much better than Muslera. The only problem is time. I have the impression that we'll never see Carizzo as our first goalkeeper anymore :(

Carrizo played well against France,,

he is got great teammates in argentina,,especially defender,,

damn,,,,,,Lazio just need one great centerback,,it's difficult?
