For instance if he's right footed when you look at him stand just a bit to the left, so to make it difficult for him to turn to his right for a shot, and to encourage/trap him to go to his left and use his left foot more. This will give you a bit of an advantage.
I can already tell you this is a major problem of mine. If I'm not right in front of them, I tend to force them to the sideline, even though that's letting them use their dominant foot. My main issue, as I said, is playing too much for containment and giving them time and space. - Giolazio wrote:

Also helpful, I used to watch the hips to tell what direction, this helps me anticipate but not come out with the ball. Thanks for the tips, unfortunately my next game has been moved from tonight to Monday night.

Thanks for the tips, unfortunately my next game has been moved from tonight to Monday night. Just to add, as much as you need to watch the ball, you want to remain goalside of him which is basically knowing what his strong foot is and what his player preferentials are. If you notice that he likes to attack in a particular direction, you have to use your body to force him into going the other way but you also have to be wary that he is probably going to take the wrong option and go where he wants to go anyway. So, you want to put yourself in a position where he has covered, give him room to go in the direction he hates but have that covered as well as the other direction. This is tricky but as long as you don't rush in before he makes his mind up, he will have a terrible afternoon. If you act to quickly, he has the advantage, everytime.

| Great jersey Sile. I'm so happy that your first derby turns to be so perfect.
p.s. Can you find in the official Lazio shops old merchandise from past jerseys?

| Beautiful shirt Sile! Is it a re-do, or an original? How much did you pay for it? I want one of those as i regard i one of the more beautiful shirts that we have had... | |

| It is a re-do, I guess they started a new series recently, it is official merchandise though. I don't think you can find a real original from back then anywhere, not even e-bay. it cost me 50€, and I have to thank Ivan because he was so generous and selfless that even though he wanted the same one and it was the last on in size L he let me have it and since I did not have enough money he charged it on his American Express card and I will pay him back. Here's to Ivan @ Jofo - you can find some but not all, and in some "unofficial" stores you can find official gear from season 02/03 and so on. Ivan wanted to find the centenario shirt but could not find it. | |

| That's awesome Sile, I didn't know there was another Lazio shop on Via Farini other than Laziopoint. I know there is a sports shop round the corner and a scarf shop but that's it. Ivan sounds like a great friend to have! | |

| Yes that's it, the scarf/sports shop on the corner right next to Laziopoint. They have official gear and the not so official one I bought that jersey and that neck-warmer-thingy, my cousin bought some scarves for his friends' collection and I very nearly also bought a mug but I don't drink coffee or cocoa or tea at home. Yeah, Ivan came through all right!! He's in Prague now probably drinking his weight in beer. Cheers!! | |

| I don't know if it was intentional or sub conscious but all the exams I still have to pass are just soooo boooring I never liked studying per se but I don't think I have ever been this bored in my college years. Atrocious. I'm sitting over a book and yawning so hard my jaw hurts. Then of all the yawning a tear forms in my eye and falls on the paper. Crying of boredom. | |

| Bored Sile? I know the feeling. I've had six hours sleep in 3 days, I'm sat here with my Pot Noodle, cup of tea and an essay on Czech opera. Out of cigarettes and no time to go to the 24 hour store. I probably won't get to bed until 10.30am by which time, I'll only have enough time to catch a few hours sleep before I go and practice piano for my performance exam in 2 weeks. There's nothing I enjoy about this, I'm in uni because there's nothing else and although I'm doing the right course for me, I am bored off my t*ts. Bring on the summer! | |

| I just watched a so-called comedy "Surfer,dude".
Nothing funny about Matthew McCounaghey prancing about in his shorts for 75 minutes smoking weed and doing nothing. Seriously the movie was garbage.
This week I also watched "How to lose friends and alienate people" and "Run,fatboy, run" and on both occasions laughed my ass off. Never heard of that guy Simon Pegg before but he's hilarious.

| I am screwed.
4 minute composition I haven't started due in 45 hours, a performance exam with no music learned in a week's time and I find myself resorting to drinking sour milk rather than fresh milk because it saves a couple of minutes.
and yet I'm posting on LF haha.
