OFFICIAL:Angeleri From June to Lazio

09:18 of 02 February
Lazio has found the agreement to purchase Angeleri on the basis of around 3 million.The Argentine defender 25 remain in all'Estudiantes loan until June, when it will move in biancoceleste with a four year contract.

I´m not surprised Lotito didn´t sign any player but I´m still disapointed.

I guess Lotito is not looking at the table right. No change to one of the worst defenses in serie a for two consecutive seasons, impressive presidente!

1) I highly doubt Celtic will want to sell him
2) If they do chances are it'd cost a hefty price

although i agree with you there...the question has to be asked...why is this happening???? given that when we had our impressive season coming back from the calciopoli penalty and played CL...our serie A season we had pretty much the best defense in Italy...what changed there?

Angeleri is a right back...however he played mainly as a sweeper for simeone's side...he was rumoured to join into in january, was called up by maradona to play for argentina...my dilemma is why sign a right back if he is a right back...? hello de silvestri?? and they spent 3m on him only to come in june? we need help now not in june!

also for the love of god get rid of siviglia...

we had Angelo Peruzzi, Massimo Oddo and Luciano Zauri. these guys were all Italian internationals with years of experience in this league together.
now we have a bunch of young guys, all from different countries that are new to calcio.

on the defence, Lotito needs to look at the smaller serie A clubs for players to sign.

exactly...you make a great point...so why are we looking abroad all the time for youth? anyway i still believe kolarov,radu,diakite and rozenthal are good players...they are just not gelling at the moment..i really think stendardo should come back in this team...and cribari aswell..siviglia needs to go...

I'm just happy we didn't lose Foggia last night, although we didn't sign anybody, I still think the squad is "good" enough to be competing for UEFA spot..

maybe because he sucked big time at siena... with all due respect to mr. rossi, he was Rossi's choice just like Makinwa... I guess our Mr was getting lost in scouting player lately... fortunately Lotito was smart enough to not buy him and siena were stupid enough to hijack our target

As far as I'm familiar he plays like right back in Argentina but also as central. Anyway is it good we to give him the only role as CD where he is not proven?!?!?!

We will have to sticj with this defence. It is sad considering our disastrous defence last year, and the fact that hothing has gotten better this year...

I don't mind sticking with this defence, I just want to know what they are doing in training? We should be doing overtime in set pieces!

I was thinking, this may sound crazy but maybe the teams problem when defending free kicks is the lack of height of OUR forwards so in training the defenders against the strikers isnt too difficult because they are always training against small strikers. Probably crazy but just a thought.

Totally agree with you there..

I have been saying for weeks that Kolarov,De Silvestri,Radu, Diakite...These players are so young give them time!!!

Set piece goals are the worst to concede and you never see the big clubs conceding these goals...

Is it Rossi ? Do people think he should go? There is a problem in the team...People shouldn't denote that we have great talent in the side...

has he put pen to paper cause we all know that nothing is official until its official. I dont want to reach June and Angeleri joins Inter or Juve because we messed up the negotiations.

Yep nothing is official just yet, I think he's waiting for better offers, his contract expires this June 2009, he's got plenty of time to choose which team he'll be playing next year.. so don't get excited!! Remember Cellerino??

Its nothing like that.He has already agreed to join us.His club is participating Copa Libertadores and they have a crucial match against Sporting Cristal.Thats why he didn't sign the contract yet.

He should be in Italy this week(Friday or Saturday) for medical and to sign the official contract(according to Il Messaggero).
