I think we don't need a CD .. we have Cribari and Rozenhal who are good players and we have also Diakite who showed that he deserves to play in the starting 11 and Siviglia can play as a substitute .. We just don't need more defenders

After the Palermo game, I concluded that we don't need any new players IF our existing players play to their ability.

Therefore, bring in quality for rubbish. Example: If we sell Makinwa, find a good striker to take his place on the bench.

After the palermo game I came to the same conclusion.

Our transferpolicy of late has been fishing with big nets. If Lotito decides to bring in a player then make sure that player fills a position in the 1:st eleven. The only position I could think of ATM is left fullback.

Some of todays rumours.

-Villareal are asking 8 million for Damian Escudero.2 million for the loan and the other 6 paid in two seasons.

-We are being linked with Vasilis Torosidis.Highly rated player(who is capable of playing both in defense and midfield) of Olympiacos.They are asking 5 million for him.

-Also Elano has said that he would welcome move to Lazio.

Torosidis is good, from what I have senn.

You guys figuring we dont need a central defender must be joking. Neither of our central defenders are, at the moment, good enough to be considered starting elevern material in Serie A. The only one of the defenders we have is actually Siviglia as he has some experience at least, but that is not good enough. We need one solid central defender, and the rest of the guys can develop into filling that second spot... Cribari is ok for a game every now and then, Diakite needs to grow slowly, Roz also needs time to develop. Neither is ready to be our anchor in the back...

Siviglia is not Serie A material. He is the weakest of our centre backs.

Diakite is decent but he needs to mature. Either we decide to field him and let him develop into a great player or we use him sparingly.

Rozehnal is solid. He's not fantastic but he does a job.

Cribari is a very good defender but we need a top class centre back to partner him, the guy tends to get lost if his partner has a bad game.

That's how I see it and if Rossi settles on the right combination then we are fine.

No, he didn't. goal.com phrased the headline in that way but let's compare the two.

1. "We will make a purchase if it will be a player who will bring something more."

2. "There may be some outward movement. Unless there are some really interesting opportunities to improve the team, then we will only move to offload some players."

On both occasions he has said that Lazio will only purchase if it improves the team. What I take from his comments is that Lotito is scouting around looking for loan deals that could benefit the team or even co-ownership deals. That would leave Elano and Dubarbier the prime targets.

I would also place a hefty bet on Cabaye moving in the summer.

Take these statements with ease. We´need to strengthen the defence, no doubt. And if we do not plan a strategy on how to replace Ledesma we will have to start all over again after this season, and we will not be able to build on whatever we achieve this season...

Yes,the last couple of days Inler has been said to take Ledesma's spot,but nothing from Lotito or anybody.. just plain rumours.

10mil for a 22 year-old winger who has Champions League experience and was possibly the star of his teams charge in the CL? Reasonable price...to put on his head. Not reasonable to pay.

5 million euro for him would satisfactory, 7 max, not 10.
