| of course Zarate got frustrated when substituted whilst playing for birmingham city, he was one of their best players, certainly their most dangerous. there should be no problems with him at Lazio because we are bigger than birmingham and he will probably slot into a 3 man strike force.
thanks to all those who agree about Makinwa. I just think his pace will be a valuable asset, especially now Rocchi is getting older. we can bring Rocchi off with 20 minutes left in a game and throw Makinwa's pace to a tired defence, or we can throw Makinwa on at the start of games, wear the defense out and then unleash Rocchi later.
Makinwa is a useful player tactically and as 4th choice striker, he's fine. he's done well at other clubs so I think he's worth keeping for now.

| according to Messerago, Fernandez is our prime objective for the midfield he will cost us about 4 M and the good news is that we are holding on the palyer card as we are still waiting for the player european passport.
The other options are Simplico and Dessena if things are going bad with Fernandez passport. As for Marchisio, I think it is all over the player is staying with Juve and Stendardo is going back to Lazio.
Here is my priorities for the midfield: Dessena, Fernandez, Marchisio, Simplico.
But I hope if we can get Cigarini from Parma, he is a complete player (the next Pirlo) and he is definitly the best player of the a/m players..

| Cigarini seems like a gem, but apparently Fiorentina and Juve are fighting for him. Dessenna would be a great purchase i think, but i read Parma want 8m Euros for him, and that has put us off him. Has anyone seen this Fernandez fellar? Is he someone we actually need? | |

| The other day I read on goal.com that apparently Parma rejected 9 million for Dessena from Zenit in Russia because he would rather remain in Italy so he would be keen to move to a Serie A club for less just to remain in Italy.
Out of the midfielders Lazio have been linked with, I would like to see him the most here!

| I believe that Zarate could turn out to be a real gem for us.
I just hope that Lotito doesn't do a Bianchi or a Jimenez (meaning he doesn't excersise the buy-out option at the end of the year). Lotito didn't want to pay 10 million euro for Jimenez nor 12 million for Bianchi so it's hard to believe that he will be willing to spend 17 million (all in all) on one player. If Zarate has a very good season, it's going to be pretty hard to keep hold of him seeing we won't have full rights of the player. I guess we'll worry about that same time next year.

| I watched some Fernandez games with River last season he is a good player that can play on both sides of the midfield with great ball contorl and above all a dynamic player in defending and attacking, I read some where that Diego Simone made excellent recommendations on his player to join us, but all in all and depending what I saw from him he is gonna be excellent signing for us.
But I still prefer Dessena, because if we put the undoubted player quality a side, Lotito can deal with Parma this time in a easier way by including some players (like Del Nero and Firmani) in the deal, and this time they will not be reluctant to agree on, because Parma need them to secure there bid to come back to Serie A asap.
I still hope Lotito and Rossi will not fail on this one.

Indeed, it is again a smear trick of Lotito like he did with Bianchi. For that case, I still really hope that Lotito buys Palacio.

| No Cesar! I heard the rumor too and at 34...he's too much of a liablity. His STARTING days at Lazio and Inter are long gone.
If Lotito wants to pick him up and pay for him with vino and offer him compensation with gelatto...we can use him on the bench.
He is not a player worth starting at lazio any more.

| Italian players should be our 1st chioce, the likes of Ciigarini, Dessena, Russoto and Marchisio will be sooner or later world famous players, I would like to see Lazio as a club full of promising italian players and the main feeders for the Azzurri in the incoming major competitions.
I still believe that Fernandez is a great player for us, but I am addicted to Italians and above all Lotito can set the rules in the negotiations as long as we have 40 players in this squad and definitly we can inculde those players in the negotiatioms to bring the trasfere fee down.
As for Cesar, It seems that we are accustomed to have flops on the left side of the midfield since we have Muta and Manfradhino and now Cesar with all my due respect to his good spell between 02-04 once he was with us.
Cesar, No crazie | |

can anybody give me a translation |

can anybody give me a translation On Saturday Zarate will come to Rome to sign the contract with Lazio, on Monday the medicals will take place. These are just the last, practical things to be done before Zarate will be with Lazio. He says he knows Lazio, he knows the Lazio tifosi are expecting something from him, and he hopes to have a good time with the club, so that Lazio will be in the top of Italy again. I'm also awaiting the derby, I want to show my value. From the tactical point of view Zarate can play anywhere in attack, centre or wings. |
