Disagree to an extent. First half we were getting owned down the left by Abate and netiher Mauri or Radu could get forward. As a result Foggia moved right quite a lot and he did a good job; we looked dangerous when he or Pandev got on the ball. Foggia was man of the match for me.

| Very important win. Pandev, Zarate and Foggia are incredible..they can save us when you don`t expect. Our midfield played very bad (as in construction and creativity..as a team)..do i have to mention who ? Also..we were again very lucky in the first half. I wonder if we didnt had Pandev and Zarate for strikers..where Lazio would be (all this season). Forza Lazio !!! A win is a win like someone said before me..NON MOLLARE MAI !!
P.S. : I wonder where Mauri learned to pass (not to mention..where did he learned to play football). If there is a kid here who wants to play football..just don`t go where Mauri went when he was young.

| really enjoyed this game! very lucky first half with bad playin and goal made of our magic strikers duo! second half was our on 100%! toro was crashed with no chance i think. Good game by defenders, especially Radu. Carizzo was good too, but two times very extrimly (barthezz style)) Ledesma and Brocchi are solid like midweek game, but Mauri wasnt on the field tonight. Foggia becomes very good and profitable from game to game. Meghni helped in midfield, his enterin was useful, and also Goran played only one hour and have some rest. Zarate is our genius-kid! 6 goals!! did makinwa score so many for all his life?^)) Realy hope that there is nothin serious with Cribari's face, he doesnt deserve such problem again! So, waiting for San Siro draw tonight | |

| Im so happy now, we get another good win. For me this game was even more entertaining then the Viola game. First half we were lucky to score and lead by half time. 2nd half we play very good football. Zarate-Pandev-Foggia is a perfect trio and Foggia shows today he is a class player. Rocchi will have to work very hard if he want to be a starter now, but it would be great to even have him play the end of the matches since we dont have any other strikers. The end was crazy, with 11 vs 9. The penalty was horrible, he had even finished then the ref gives penalty...its stupid. I don't like what Carrizo is doing. Maybe its ok to start dribbling at 3-0, but he did this last week at 8 min. vs Viola. I know he did this at River but he cant do this in Serie-A. If he want to be a entertainer we should let him take the freekicks when we lead by 3 goals. :P When Dabo get back hopefully our midfield can perform better, and with Mauri/Meghni/Matuzalem settling in I think we also have a strong midfield. FORZA LAZIO!!! | |

| Yes..poor Cribari. I feel sorry for him..every season he gets aone bullet in his face.. :(. He looked ok at the end of the match anyway..i saw him leaving with Makinwa (i think). We`re first ..and next match is home with Lecce. That should be an easy win.. Check how many goals we scored . The next teams are Udine and Palermo with only 8 =)) | |

| FORZA LAZIO!! spettacolo
a good result away from home, never mind the performance now cause we go home with 3 points, 3 goals and more confidence. Away wins are never easy and not always pretty.
We must rest players for the Coppa game, and look ahead to Lecce. It won't be as tough as some other games, but if we go out complacent Lecce could embarass us, we need to keep cool heads and we'll put several goals into the Lecce net.

| This was the type of game which distinguishes teams who "play well" and then complain "they deserved to win" from those who, you know, actually win.
Torino played very roughly and the ref was an absolute retard, Toro could have easily ended up with seven players, Abruscato inexplicably did not get a red for injuring Cribari with his elbow, then Colomobo shoudl have gotten a second yellow, then Lichtsteiner got a elbow in the head too...
As usual we cranked up a gear or two in the second half, Foggia moved to the left and Zarate to the center made a world of difference. And Toro's coach really harmed his team by pulling a Mancini and playing with four strikers, while taking out Abate, their most dangerous midfielder, and Corini. I see everyone is talknig about Zarate but pandev has been just as crucial this season, his scored/missed chances ratio so far has been a lot better than last season and the way he manages to keep the ball and then pass it (Zarate usually tends to be too greedy to do the latter) is absolutely vital for our offence. The defence struggled, I think to a large extent because Radu did not receive proper help from midfield in the first half. Then again I read that Inter's defence also struggled in the final minutes against Torino, so...
Oh, yes, and the icing on the cake was the diver Bianchi being so useless and Sereni getting sent off. Sweet!

| 1 half wasen't the best Lazio did in the history, we made a few misstake but the second was much better. Feel sad for Torino but who cares, we won the game and we are at the top once agian, Grande!. What Carrizo did is amazing for me, I really want to see that on youtube or something, that smelling as was crazy. FOOORZA LAZIO!!! ( MIlan Merda - Inter = X ) | |

and we have won, so we have the rights to aim high. Just don't spoil it by dropping points at home to teams like Lecce. That would be disgusting.
those who watched - do you think Lazio could use a hard "Gattuso-type" midfielder for games like these?

Generally speaking yes, we sure could use a Gattuso (though I think Brocchi did well in this capacity, Lichtsteiner was as a result much less troubled than Radu). But today - not that much, the ref was totally trigger-happy.

We were nowhere in the first half and were lucky to be ahead after 45 minutes.
Great overall. Nice nice.

| Indeed, we were lucky to be leading in the 1st half with Toro missing some massive chances, but this is what quality players like Pandev and Zarate can do when we are not playing so well. Also, it must be said Toro were lucky not to be down to 10 already in the 1st half with that elbow on Cribari. A much better 2nd half performance, we won the midfield battle, and hence the front 3 looked much better, albeit after changing the positions a little bit. I really liked the 2nd half performance, we passed it around easily, and in the end our quality told. Zarate with another quality strike. Here's hoping it's nothing too serious for Cribari. Now to rest some players for the Atalanta game, and bring them back in for Lecce game. Hopefully the boys stay concentrated and motivated for that game, as it was a problem last season. FORZA LAZIO! | |

| Zarate and Lotito have already said it. Yesterday Rossi said: We Can't Aim For Scudetto - RossiLooks like he changed his mind Delio: Why not a Lazio Scudetto?Lazio top the table and Delio Rossi doesn’t see why he should quiet Scudetto ambitions. “If the players believe it, then why not?” The Biancocelesti didn’t even qualify for the UEFA Cup last term, but have had a sensational start to the season, winning every game except a 4-1 defeat at Milan. If Inter fail to win the derby this evening, then Rossi’s men will be the Serie A leaders after five rounds. “Will we target the Scudetto? If the players believe it, then why not?” grinned the Coach who was expected to be fired over the summer. “Setting our ambitions at a high level does nothing other than improve our self-esteem. We may fight with teams that are bigger and better than us, but our spirit is a little wild and that allows us to be afraid of nobody.” http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/sep28k.html | |

those who watched - do you think Lazio could use a hard "Gattuso-type" midfielder for games like these? No. What I saw first half was a midfield where nobody was in the game. Lichti and Brocchi covered the right well and looked solid enough, Ledesma in the centre did help out defensively and did a good job but Mauri and Radu could not handle Abate and that allowed Abbruscato to get chances. It's ok to have Mauri in that position, but he has to either defend or attack and push Abate back and stop him from getting a foothold in the game. I sense Meghni would have been the better option because I think he would have forced Abate to defend a bit. We need someone like Mauri to link with Foggia and to be honest, if we ever go Pandev/Zarate/Rocchi then I don't know who can supply them in games like these when the home side is nullifying our midfield. On a day like today, what we needed was Meghni or Matuzalem.
