Yes it's true, and he has apoligized for it. Not a good move by Inzaghi really.

| He did look very angry, and I guess it is due to the fact that he has had no spot in Rossi's Lazio. He was subbed in, he scored, thought that had proven his brilliance.
I think we must be prepared for teams arriving at Olimpico and going for a 0-0 draw. We must realise that there will be opponents who are not there to play a creative game, and Lecce was only the first opponent out of many that will do that this season. 0-0 is good enough, if they get a counter attack and score they will be even more reluctant to leave their positions. We must come up with tactics that can break the kind of wall that the opponents create, and despite the brilliant players that Foggia, Pandev and Zarate all are, we need someone a little bit stronger to break in and create space for himself as well as creating space for the rest of the team closer to their goal. I think much of this can be solved by Rocchi as he has the power to go a little bit more straight on goal as beeing a little bit more of a tough box player (despite his small size comparing to other specialized box players). Our game will never be sending crosses with the players we have, and I am not looking for a tall guy only good at heading, but I did feel time after time in the game against Lecce, that our attacking players were to far away from goal when they recieved the ball and no one had the strength enough to get in there and wrestle with the Lecce defence.
The last point: Why Mauri?

Inzaghi himself declared in an interview with Il Messaggero that he never insulted Delio Rossi like some media have been writing. It´s the usual story when things are going well, then some people are writing false stories in order to create unrest around Lazio. Obviously Simone Inzaghi has had a lot of frustrations inside himself for a long time. He didn´t score a goal for years, he faced an unbelievable history of physical problems which always prevented him from finding any form, the loans at Sampdoria and Atalanta were also ruined by physical problems and everything culminated with him not being invited to participate in the trainingcamp in Auronzo di Cadore. Quite a blow for a professional footballer... I think it was easy to see that many of those frustrations came out after the goal against Lecce... Inzaghi said himself to Il Messaggero : I have not insulted Rossi like some people have been writing. They have been trying to create a situation that doesn´t exist by writing about this insult that was never there. They have tried to ruin my beautiful moment. I saw in the eyes of my teammates that they were happy for my gesture, not only because we avoided the unfair defeat, but they were also happy for me.

| Oh..i was so happy when i read this stuff for the first time. I wish that Simone really said what he said.. and not only because Rossi is a moron..but because he had every right to do it. I don`t know why are so many Rossi`s fans around here..i just don`t get it. Probably some are happy to see Lazio fighting to avoid relegation. And i guess (i assume) that there are the same people who said "we can`t fight for scudetto". Great mind...
Well done Simone (if you really said that) !!!!

Well done Simone (if you really said that) !!!! We're top of Serie A. Its not a time to be blasting Rossi, and we all know what happened in the dressing room last year. Do you really want that to happen again?? seriously, we beat Fiorentina and Toro and people are so happy talking about winning Lo Scudetto, and then drop a couple of points against Lecce are people quickly switch and call for Rossi to be sacked and players to be dumped. not attacking you personally, just noticed its a trend on this forum

| Anyway, we're on scheme, the 2 points lost against Lecce we have gained against Fiorentina with an unexpected victory by 3 clear goals, and our best game so far.
I hope that the guys & Delio & Lotito keep their feet on the ground, we have still 32 games left to play, thats a long way ahead ... I still believe we have to focus to get back in Europe next year (so 6th place would be enough), and get now as many points as possible to stay in the top 4 till New Year, because 2009 looks very tuff to me, like awaygames to Fiorentina, Napoli, Inter, Palermo & Juventus.

What do you mean by focusing to get 6th place?? why don't we focus to stay at the first place and being scudetto?? when we wish to be the champion, the worst we get will be the 3rd or 4th place... when we only hope to be the 6th, we could achieve the worst position than that... I understand humility is important, and a MUST... but wishing and target should be as high as possible... I agree Lotito and Rossi shouldn't cheaply talk about Lazio being scudetto to all over the media... but their (and Lazio players') wishing and intention for Lazio to be the scudetto contender should be a really good thing and a revelation for us!! here I give you an example... If Lotito wants Lazio to win the scudetto, he will not let Pandev and Ledesma going anywhere, he will buy more quality players for lazio, a good defender maybe, the point is.. he will try anything to make his dreams achieved!! and it's good for us.. DREAMING and wishing are good!! without dreaming somebody won't go anywhere and won't achieve anything, Napoleon wouldn't be that important if he wasn't dreaming and thinking that he's important, Edison wouldn't invent anything let alone an electric light bulb if he had a mediocre dream and not wishing to be someone that create something important... they were all happened not just because coincidence, but because they're wishing for it and they wanted it badly!!

| Well said Broenco. Also, it's worth adding that both Claudio and Delio have not said much about the Scudetto. It has been implied a little, as in Lotito has said that we mustn't fear anyone as we have a team that can beat anyone and Delio has said that if the players believe they can be champions then who is he to say they can't. It's just the media have invented this "Scudetto talk". What encouraged me was that we still spoke positively after the Lecce game. Let's not get our heads down but let's not get carried away either. | |

| Firstly, let me say I dont think we have a good chance of any Scudetto, simply because there are better sides than us. I actually think Inter will finish with it comfortably.
BUT lets go back a few years to a famous season of Serie A, 84-85. It wasnt a good one for us cause we went straight down to B, but another team shocked many to win their first Scudetto. Hellas Verona.
They had a good start, like we and Udinese have had this year, and remember they had the likes of Platini and Maradona, and strong Inter and Torino sides. Serie A was perhaps tougher than now. They dreamt and they won.
What Lotito and Rossi must do is play down the Scudetto talk in the media, it will only hurt our team. Aim for say, second and we might finish with second, or we could finish fourth. Either way we will be playing CL next year. Aim for sixth though, and we could miss Europe altogether.
NON MOLLARE MAI
The Lecce game was far from a disaster, fans need to calm down after losses like these and not make extreme statements.
