P.S. : We can`t really play with a team that stays with 9 man 90 mins in their own penalty box..and when they get to our penalty box..they score. Unreal.. how lucky and how anti-football they were

Yeh Seba also responsible for the goal, but I think Carrizo may have misjudged the ball, as you can see from the replay, he clearly didn't put any effort to stop the ball..

Anyway, 1 point is better than nothing, we had so many chances, we were a bit unlucky, hit the bar twice, Lecce's GK was on drugs today

At the end of the day, we stay on top (for at least another 2 weeks), I am quite pleased with the overall performances.. credit for Lecce for defending well (till 85th minutes)

And Inzaghi's face after scoring a goal.. PRICELESS!!

disappointing, but thank goodness we salvaged a point. still, there is much to be improved upon. yes, lecce played effective catenaccio but we needed to finish our chances and make the most of possession. i think there were times that we were all too predictable.

so frustrated by that game, both Lazio and Lecce frustrated me to no end

Grazie Simone!! There was comparison between Lotito's Lazio and Cragnotti's Lazio, in the end the guy who saved a point came from Cragnotti's Lazio.

Disappointing result but I can't really be angry with the boys, they tried their best. At least in the second half, that is.
Morals of the story - we need a classic striker on the pitch, at least as a plan B, when A is not working. Also, Meghni needs to play instead of Mauri, at least while Matuzalem is injured. Third, Lichtsteiner is one of the best transfers we have made in the last few years, period. Fourth, we totally outran them, despite playing a game in midweek which is positive. Fifth, Zarate needs to pass the ball, when he started doing it and roam leftwards by the end of the game, we were mcuh better. Pandev seemed tired, the Macedonians will hate me but I hope he has a minor injury and miss the qualifiers.
At least stupid statements like Rossi's "why not a scudetto" will stop for a while.

I'd rather blame Rozehnal than Siviglia, though, he left the latter with two men to mark. But by far the most guilty is Carrizo, he didn't even try properly to stop the ball. :(

for all those who talk about scudetto in here, for all those who think we are top of the world, this is a kick on the teeth and bringing us back to reality.

What happened today was that we underestimated our opponents. Something has to be done about ledesma he is awful and completely uninspired.

Very disappointing draw, on paper we should have comfortably won, yet we struggle to even get some shots againt lecce.

We are having major problems when opposition closes us down like that, this team is in very bad shape in the middle, foggia dribbles all over the place but nothing wth him end up in something, how on earth did he blast that over like that.

Mauri is a joke to the team and the society. Carrizzo should put his game face on!

Kolarov is a must against smaller teams like this diifcult to break down, i though rossi was smart enough to fogure that out.

Radu was smelling as today, litchi again fightinga ll over the pitch.

Pandev could have done more there on that finish and zarate was a ghot today but I mostly blame our mids for not linking the play.

Inzaghino scores and that look in his face says it all, he wants to be part of this group and he wants to prove he can compete with the bhoys. I cant believe im saying this but inzaghino changed our play and we improved greatly after he entered.

I hope rossi and the boy learn the lesson and dont let more points like this slpi away.

Inzaghino didnt really get a chance to change much, but as he is a target man of sorts, putting him on earlier might have helped, considering a target up front was what we lacked.

For the first time ever, i actually wanted Makinwa to come on (didnt realise Simone was there instead).

I agree with everything you said...And I will add, I blame Lottito and Rossi for comments such as:We can fight for scudetto I mean wtf????Back to earth AGAIN

Overall we played well.

But we missed too much chances. Zarate and Pandev were too selfish at some point, when they received a pass tonight they were trying first to finish and if there isn't a chance then to create or to combine I think the fact that they were so prolific till now served them a trick tonight...
The development in the game was against us , but I am proud how Lazio performed , because we create a lot of opportunities and we didn't give up for a moment. We have been chasing the goal all night and just the luck saved Lecce from more goals.

I don't agree with the claim that Carrizo is responsible for that goal. Do you know guys how difficult( almost impossible)for a goalkeeper to save such a header smashed in the ground ??? You need luck in such situation, Carrizo didn't have it because the ball wasn't in his hands and the attack was high speeded.
Sometimes we shouldn't blame our players....

We have great team, respect for their performance tonight, Heads up, Forza....

I think in the first half we had big difficulties in breaking down the lecce defense, although we were constantly pressing and attacking. Their goal was basically their only real oppertunity of the entire match. In the second half especially in the second period we created much more and were unlucky not to find a goal earlier. If that would have happend I am sure we would have won. Foggia and Pandev had big chances. We never stopped trying though and in the end we were rewarded by good old Inzaghi.

Rozenhall and Siviglia should be replaced with Cribari and Radu (to play on DC). On sides can play De Silvestri and (the best footballer on Lazio so far) Lichsteiner. Its obvious that current central defenders are prone to mistakes. I wached the second half and don't think that Pandev looked tired. He tried his best, only to say that long ball play isn't type of game that he and Zarate could accept. When Rocchi will return, Rossi could play three of them with Pandev on AMC (his natural position). Forza Lazio!

We lack someone who can play through defences rather than around defences, hence it's good to see Inzaghi back.

Usama, talking about reflex is one thing, but talking about effort is another thing.. for me, he wasn't put any effort for the goal.. put it this way, he misjudged the direction of the ball.. of course we can't blame him for everything, but lack of judgement (and reflex) change the game completely..

I am personally happy with the efforts, especially on the 2nd half, the 1st 15 minutes was awesome, we were everywhere, we outplayed em, but after the goal, we crumbled..

Most of the time, we were playing individual, there were no team work, Pandev was too deep, Zarate was too selfish, and there were no connections between Midfield and Striker..

We did however create a lot of chances, but we didn't take em.. To be quite honest with you all, I'm pleased with the result.. It brought us back to the ground.. no more scudetto talks (for at least 2 weeks)

Hopefully we could learn from this game and I can't wait for Bologna's game

Lecce's gameplan was nearly perfect. As someone else mentioned, they made us play on the wings and cross the ball in, which Pandev and Zarate were never going to win. And it worked very well for them in the 1st half. In the 2nd period of the 2nd half though, I thought we were really good. Only luck and bad finishing didn't allow us to score earlier, and had we done (through Kolarov, Foggia, Pandev) I'm sure we would have won this game. But it was not to be and an old hero came on to rescue us late on.

Can't fault the effort of the boys.

According to me you are the one who is misjudging here....
What are you saying , that if he jumped after the ball and it was again goal you would feel better and you wouldn't blame him.
To foresee the direction of such ball(header bounced in the ground) is very , very difficult to accomplish , especially in such high speeded attack....
This is not robots , they can miss goals and concede goals some times.....

It was great to see the team fighting till the last minute for the win! The result isn't that good, but today the team just didn't have luck .. I'm happy that Inzaghinho scored and I hope Rossi starts to give him more chances than Makinwa. Simone is 10 times better than him!
