I agree Rio has consistently been in the side. I'm not arguing that.
I just think his level has dropped over the last season or two and because of that I don't see him as certain of being a regular as he used to be - although really, who else do England have for central defense? Carragher, for example, has been dismal this season, and generally the captain should always play. Terry is one of the most reliable players Capello has (along with Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney) and his form has consistently improved over the last few years IMO but obviously because of the affair he should have the captaincy stripped off him.
Although I thought he had the affair after Bridge wasn't with that lady anymore? Obviously though it still majorly impacts Terry's family.
I just think someone like Gerrard would be a better captain, but that's just my opinion.

Gerrard's level has dropped too. People talk about how Xabi Alonso's departure has affected Liverpool and they miss the fact that Gerrard, injuries aside, is not at his best.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rooney is captain in the near future. He has come on leaps and bounds this season, he is genuinely the real deal now.

Portsmouth are the first EPL club to go into administration and will also be deducted 9 points - virtually guaranteeing relegation at the end of this season (heard it on Australian Sky News this morning). A real shame. I have developed a liking for Pompey over the last few years (despite having a good Southampton mate) and its terrible news for the club and their fans. I really hope they can come out of this as soon as possible but unfortunately it won't be easy.

Manchester City are 2-1 up at the moment. Terry has been booked. This could be a pivatol day in the League race. I hope Arsenal can capitalise if Chelsea drop points.

3-1 to Manchester City. Madness from Chelsea. Ballack and Belletti are sent off.

Finishes 4-2 to Manchester City. Lampard penalty at the end. City were convincing winners. nightmare week for Chelsea.

I hope so. Up against the most dirtiest, most ugly team in the League in Stoke today. Makes Bolton look like Barcelona. If Bolton go down then Stoke will be the new Bolton.

Didn't see the Chelsea vs City game, only the highlights. Mad match.
As for the title I still see it as a 2 horse race. I'd like to think Arsenal are still in it - and they're only 3 points behind the leaders, but I don't feel they can sustain and beat Chelsea and United to it (injuries have hampered Wenger's side and at times they barely edge out teams - ie: Stoke City today) - but I do hope I'm wrong.
Although I like City, its a shame Chelsea lost as now United are back in it, and I can't stand them (third after Merda and Madrid for me). If Chelsea lose the EPL race they only have themselves to blame and no one else. They've had numerous chances to pull clear of the chasing pack but again and again they falter and let the other teams back into it.
And why the hate towards Stoke City guys? When they came onto the EPL scene a few years ago I didn't really like them but over time I've developed respect for them. Pulis has developed a good tough team possessing the likes of Sorensen (big, big fan of this guy since his Villa days), Shawcross, Huth, Lawrence and Tuncay Sanli.

Horrific injury. Hoping for a fast recovery but sadly such injures take several months to heal. All the best Aaron Ramsey.

Not only that but he has been a superb player and professional over the past year and of all people, he really didn't deserve to have that burden on his shoulders.

Agree. You can see Ryan Shawcross is practically in tears. You know it was a complete accident and hopefully people don't judge him from now on based on this incident. All the best to both Ramsey and Shawcross.
