| I will be looking forward to seeing this game after Christmas festivities, new year celebrations and some pesky exams.
No need to express who the dangerman is here. I always thought Corradi was vastly underrated. We will have to watch him very closely indeed.

| Corradi may be gone by then as word is he wants out in January. Let's hope so although they recently changed coach so he may stay. I dont want to sound arrogant cause we haven't been playing well but the only thing that could stop us from winning this game is our poor away record. We are much better than them and to stay in the race for Europe, we need minimum 3 points. Until then, enjoy the natale break and the new year , party time for Lazio | |

FORZA LAZIO We have no divine right to win this game. It's not as easy as you make out. I think this is a tough game for us and if we lose then it will be because the opposition beat us, not that we beat ourselves.

| I disagree with your post, Kurama. No offense, but it's rubbish, mate. Makes zero sense. Most away games in any league are difficult. Look at Inter vs Siena this past weekend. Inter are one of the best in Europe and they were level with Siena (6 pts ahead of Reggina) until the 83rd minute. You think Jose went into that match thinking Inter was just going to walk into Siena and blast them 3-0?! No way. At the same time, you think Reggina is just going to roll over, because they're in the relegation zone? They have no ambition? No hope of remaining in Serie A for 2009?
Come on, Lazio must go into this match and play it like it's against Inter or Rioma. That's the only way you MAKE the Uefa Cup or CL. By always playing hard and by always taking your opponent seriously. It's games against the weaker opponents that you REALLY need to capitalize on.
Happy Holidays, you all!
NON MOLLARE MAI!
Cheers to great and hopefully brilliant finish in 2009!!!

| Reggina is weak, yes, but at home any team is hard to beat. Al´so,it will be the first game after the break and that is always tricky...
with a good approach and a healthy team we should beat them though...

| If Diakite, Meghni and Dabo perform like they did in the last 45mins against Palermo, we'll win.
Meghni can give the final pass which we lack dearly. Diakite is our most effective defender when on form and Dabo is the only decent fighter in our midfield. Brocchi isn't good enough.

| I can't believe what I'm saying now, but I agree with Kurama on this.... I don't expect us to underestimate a side like Reggina... we shouldn't underestimate any club if we want to be a successful club... especially in a hard league like serie a but the situation actually gives us more benefit... don't believe what i'm saying? this is my theory: so we're gonna play with a relegation fight club in their home... so in my opinion, they won't play for a point, they want full 3 points to avoid the relegation coming closer and especially because they play in their home.. accordingly, they are going to play open and attacking and won't be like catania or lecce at olimpico... so it will be a benefit for us because our strikers are good for counter attacking and won't get frustrated by 11 men on the front of goalkeeper... all depends on rossi's tactic and formation of course.. and also our players concentration after they coming back from holiday... I really can't wait to see the game... | |

| I agree with everyone when I say we SHOULD win this. 100%. Lazio SHOULD beat Reggina. The problem is, we tend to struggle away from home and we def. tend to struggle with lower tier teams. I know we can win this game and believe we will. My only concern is that sometimes, Lazio gets caught up in things (I'm not sure what) and we end up playing to the level of our opponent (Reggina is not a good team) and either draw or lose. Drawing against Reggina doesn't really help us out any, either. Not with our position in the standings and all the other clubs in the current mix.
Fact is, with the likes of Pandev, Rocchi and Zarate, we should have enough fire power to put in some goals. We need our defense to hold their own too. I don't wanna get into a BS high scoring game with Reggina.

| For the last years Reggina has been a side struggling for survival rather than fighting for any top positions, even though they have had a few seasons where they have been performing very well. This year around they seem to be worse off then before and they dont ahve the magic capitano to save their ass anylonger. So yes, as everybody else says: we should win this game.
But. Take a look at the results of old games below and you will find that we are not always having an easy time against Reggina. In the games presented below, it shows that we havent been able to beat them twice in one season for at least these years. add to that that it is the first game after the break meaning that they will be fairly fit in comparison to the end of a season, or just before the break.
Once again, we need to wait and see what players will be available etc, and then see what tactics Rossi comes up with. We shoudl win, but it will not be very easy. Chievo this year feels like a similar game. We won, but it was tight...

| Thanks, Cash!
Exactly my point from the OTHER post I made. You can't take Reggina or any bottom dweller lightly, especially away from home. There are only TWO games on that list that Cash posted where we won by a two goal margin. Once on 3/12/2006 (3-1) and on 11/6/2002 (3-0)...besides those two matches, it's been level or a 1 goal game.
So, back to what I originally said - this game, is far from easy. It's a game we SHOULD win, but nothing is ever guaranteed.

| Reggina are, in what I see as a five-horse relegation fight. Let's look how we did against teams of their calibre so far:
Lecce (home) - draw Bologna (away) - loss Torino (away) - win Chievo (away) - win
Now, if we turn up and perform on the day, victory is likely and we can achieve something similar to what we did in Turin. Still, a good performance might not be enough if they park the bus. We play badly, we should lose.
There are no certain wins in football or single games coach's jobs should depend on. Neither are there guaranteed defeats. Reggina don't have much about them but they have home backing and have been in Serie A quite a while so they won't relinquish that without a massive fight. They will bring it. We have to as well and if we do, we have excellent odds of winning.

| Guys its not that the game will be easy, FFS there aren't even any easy home games in this league, anyone can beat anyone but as a club looking to make Europe, we can't afford to go there and drop points either.
The gap between us and the European spots hasn't opened up too far thankfully and we can't lose touch by failing to beat relegation battlers.
Must win is better description than easy win.

| I begin to think we should try to play with Zarate from the bench, put Rocchi Pandev Foggia, and replace one of them at half time, Zarate will have an advantage there to make a surprise. I also hope Diakite will play again. this man is really amazing in defense and useful in cornerkick... Win is a must... FORZA LAZIO! | |

Reggina game may be a good time to try something new. If we can get Za-Pa-Ro-Fo to work then we won't need to invest much this January.
