Our defence is a mess, and that is what gets us into troubble every week. With a solid defence we would be a lot higher in the ranks and also we would have an easier path to three points in a game like this. Carrizo is new and does not lead the back line good enough, but for me the major problems are to be found in the central pair as Dia is far to young and unexperienced to be used week in and week out, and all others are just not solid enough, and noone is the kind of leader we need in the back line. We needed these three points and we got them, harder than necessary though...

One week of analysing, and then we face a very dangerous juve at home...very tough game....

our defenders are good enough to be in the squad, but lack the real quality to lead and command the defence.

It ill take time for Carrizo to take charge the way Peruzzi used to.

Delio needs to rethink things at the back because Del Piero and Amauri are lethal on the ground and in the air respectively.

Agreed, our defense was a mess...I don't really know what the issue is. Individually, they're solid players. Yet, on the pitch each week, we make a lot of simple - text book, mistakes. Luckily our offense was firing on all cylinders today!

Man, watching such games is bad for my health. We almost threw it away, even though Reggina were so bad in attack and we scored three goals. But we won and we proved that the trident of Rocchi-Zarate-Pandev can work. Now we need to sort out our defence, too. The possession game we played was quite nice, even though the opposition was not exactly world class. That said, I actually think we were a bit too much into our possession game, a bit more direct approach would have resulted in more dangerous counter-attacks, IMO.
De Silvestri has still a lot to learn as a defender, I was quite angry at him for recklessly pushing forward in the dying minutes of the game. Diakite made a ridiculous blunder to allow Reggina's second goal...I guess these are the risks we take when we play with no less than three very yound defenders in our back four. I hope people won't say "Zarate is selfish" nearly as much after these two assists, I am pretty sure he is the one with the most assists in our team this season. Too bad Napoli won but we are still within three points from the CL places, not too bad at all.
And we keep our record of winning each and every time we have taken the lead in a Serie A game this season.

on one day Diakite is a GOD, and on another day he's a mess Yes, he is young, inexperienced defender, he makes mistakes, but most important, he's learning from his mistakes and grows as a solid, powerful player. If you want player get some experience - let him play. No matter that he and Lollo (as someone said) made some bad mistakes, today we won and that's most important think.

BTW - I thought Zarate was very UNselfish today. I was happy with his all around play.

Rocchi was invisible totaly, and Zarate great with 2 assists for magic pandev.
Remember that Inter won at Reggio C. also 3:2 so dont be too critical.
