| A game doesn't make a season and I don't like his approach. I like his passion and connection towards the club but I'm afraid that is all he can give.
However I can't influence Lazio decisions and find stupid to argue about that. So with or without Rossi FORZA LAZIO

| Thank you Rossi. You have done well for our club but incase you forgot and Lotito forgot, we are a big club. Back then we were the 3rd or 2nd most popular team in Serie A. Everything was already there. Yes lotito got rid of big players to cut down costs, etc, but we are still here.
Thanks Rossi for managing our club during our hard times, but you definately know we are still big team and its time to let us go and we can get a much more experienced manager in with better tactics and with a pedigree of experience to fight for Number 1 spot.
Coppa Italia is a great cup and win for us but we should have been in the top 6 in Serie A.
Its time to let us go please.
The fans came in thousands in the final. Something we used to always see. We need to move on to the bigger stage. You can clearly see that Lotito is spending a bit of money on players down to the fans snapping up season tickets. They had sold over 30,000 season tickets. Lotito had never experienced this during his charge as Lotito had become an arrogant bitch during his time of presidency. I am glad he has learnt a few things on his way and know the fans have come back.
I just hope we get a new manager in. We committed to Rossi's contract and we will say thank you very much.
Rossi, you will always be remembered. Thank you.
We have fire in our belly. We need someone like Diego Simone in. I would be over the moon.
About our squad still inexperienced, etc etc, Yes this is true but isnt it better to get some veteran in to teach these kids how to react during matches if we are losing. They will still be inexperienced for many years unless there is a experienced teacher on the pitch. We really need to get in experienced manager in and some old boy like Veron.
Damn, i am happy we won coppa italia but finished behind Fiorentina in league. Bah!

| Lotito offers Rossi renewal Saturday 16 May, 2009 Lazio President Claudio Lotito announced a contract renewal with Delio Rossi will be signed “in the next few days.”
The Coach's current deal expires at the end of the season and many expected him to leave, with Sampdoria boss Walter Mazzarri lined up as a replacement.
However, Wednesday's Coppa Italia victory and consequent qualification for the Europa League gave Rossi's reign a new lease of life.
“We will meet up in the next few days and I expect that very soon we will be able to renew the contract,” said President Lotito on RAI television.
“Rossi has not manifested to me the desire to leave and the club has never put his confirmation in doubt.”
The tactician has been in charge of Lazio since 2005, but the Coppa was the first silverware he was able to celebrate.

| I am a Rossi supporter and would be love to see him remain at Lazio.
If Lotito does sack him - who could he realistically get within the same budget? Guardiola? More like Mazzarri, Zenga, Allegri or Del Neri. They aren't bad coaches but I don't see how they are that much different from Rossi. Zenga and Allegri are too inexperienced, not a big fan of Del Neri, Mazzari is probably the best of those but he hasn't done that well at Sampdoria in my opinion to come to Lazio. He did well at Reggina yes but at a higher level he hasn't stepped up as I thought he would.
I say give Rossi till the end of the year (eg: round about half way through next season) and see how the team has progressed. Bring in 2-3 quality players (a central defender is a must) and I would be happy.
This season had a lot to do with seeing who Lazio have in their squad and how it looks for the future.
Rossi gave some younger players who did not do so well last season a chance this time around and did not disappoint (Diakite, Kolarov, Muslera, Del Nero), Lotito brought in some quality players who adapted well to the setup (Zarate, Lichtsteiner, Matuzalem, Brocchi) and Foggia finally returned and deservedly so. The Carrizo saga was bad but over the next few games he will be given chances to impress. Thankfully Muslera stepped up big time.
This season was more about testing out. Some brilliant performances with wins over Rioma, Juventus and Fiorentina, and some very below par ones with losses against Chievo, Siena and Bologna and although not the greatest season for Lazio, we can take a lot of positives out of it. The Coppa Italia win was brilliant and has given us European football which will surely attract some good players to the club. I am hopeful the Uefa Cup will persuade important players like Ledesma, Pandev and Rocchi to stay on. Had Lazio not won the Coppa, and missed out on Europe then the situation would be different but thankfully this did not happen.
As I said, give Rossi one more chance - until Christmas, or 10-15 rounds into the next season or something, then see where Lazio are sitting and how the team is playing. Then reevaluate and see if Delio deserves to stay. For now I hope he stays.
Forza Delio Rossi! | |

| If some thinks that Lazio is going up right now, prooves that we are watching 2 different sports. Just watch the serie a and the fact that we beat on penalties a team like Sampdoria (home) sais alot. It`s time for mister delio to leave. | |

Forza Delio Rossi! Well put Bob, I also wanted to Rossi to leave but I changed my mind especially after last Coppa game and Derby, this guy deserves another chance.. With an addition of 2-3 players next season, we would do well next season. And there aren't many good coaches out there, even if they were any, they wouldn't come cheap, who would you want to take Lazio? Allegri? Le Guen? Del Neri? Mazzari? There aren't any better than Rossi, he deserves another (one year) contract IMO, and I'm hoping he stays

The final was not the only game in the Coppa, to get there we had to go through Atalanta, Milan and Juve. What does that tell you? and Samp is not a bad team, they destroyed Inter in the semi. Incredible how people will say anything to discredit Rossi, even downplay this great achievement of a very young team.

| Hehehe what next?
Mancini looks like a poofter with that hair, Wenger sounds like a frenchie batty-boy, that has absolutely nothing to do with the coaching ability.

| 16 defeats vs Coppa Italia champion.
7 defeats less and we'd still be right where we are now, in Uefa, which is a success any way you put it

| Cant u see that we were max lucky in Coppa? And the stronger teams didnt play with strongest squads nor will, if they did not Samp nor Lazio would even be in finals. There are other coaches than Rossi in the football world you know. Just to remember this season. Milan 4-1 Lazio Atalanta 2-0 Lazio Lazio 0-3 Inter Lazio 1-4 Cagliari Sampdoria 3-1 Lazio Lazio 0-3 Milan Lazio 0-3 Chievo Siena 2-0 Lazio Lazio 1-3 Udinese Great coach indeed.

And the stronger teams didnt play with strongest squads and will, if they did not Samp nor Lazio would even be in finals. I could then say we were unlucky in the league. And that's sh1t the stronger teams did not play with the strongest squads, Juve played their best team, as for Milan Shevchenko isn't really a bench player, and as for Samp they played against full strength Inter. Again you are trying to diminish the success, as if we won the Coppa in a lottery not on a football pitch.
